My mom and I recently bought an ambulance that we converted to travel in. We came to Pinellas Diesel with a large list of items that needed to be repaired. The fact that they are a family owned business attracted us to them. We met Eddy and immediately knew that they were honest people who ran an honest business. They finished the work on our ambulance as promised, explained everything during the process, and were very fair with their parts and labor fees. I would not take my diesel to anyone else. They are truly the best!

I have been bringing my truck here for oh I don't know 6 years now well my previous truck and now my new truck. They have all the Diagnostic equipment and tools to get the job done. They keep me informed with updates on what's going on unlike many of the other places I've been to that just do the work to fix it and give you a high bill, now the people at pinellas diesel will take the time out of there very busy schedule to help me make an informed decision on which way to go to get me back on the road

I have nothing but good things to say about Pinellas diesel. They keep in touch with you they are very understanding on what you say or want to do. I took my truck in for an injection pump they not only did that they touched up little odds and ends like clear coated my intake horn, sprayed my motor with a protective paint looks damn near brand new. I have a lot of respect of for a mechanic to go out of his way to make me even happier when u get my truck back. Good job guys.

I just want to say thank you from my heart. My son passed away on mother's day and we went there to talk to them about getting our order done. The way my husband is handling it is getting projects he wanted to do with him only without him here. Jeff is going above and beyond to help him. I wanted to share this very positive experience. This is above and beyond

Poor communication, called only to be promised call back but not receive one. Had truck for three and a half weeks without working on it. Tools it would be worked on, wasnt.Made appointment to pick truck up, owner states mechanic didn't come to work for three days, could not pick up truck though I needed it.Refused to provide written estimate as required by law. Will see if the repair is quality. Supposedly does good work.

Lots of commercial accounts, but they make time for the little guy too. Fantastic work done on my 2011 f350. Eddie stands behind his work and very professional. Much better and cheaper than the dealer!

Do not spend your money or waste your time at this shop. My 1995 Chevy Silverado 6.5 turbo diesel was having overheating issues and going through coolant. My father and I suspected this was a blown head gasket. It was brought to the shop to get multiple upgrades. (To fix the overheating issue.) I spent about $6500 in parts and was charged about $5000 in labor. I supplied a brand new head gasket. The head was supplied because we were told the shop was unable to provide a head gasket within 3 weeks. This is the timeframe my truck had the possibility of being fixed in. I even came in twice and cleaned up parts on my own time to try and help speed up the process. My truck sat in this shop over 6 months from the end of May 2021 till the end of October 2021. During this time there was very little feedback given. We had to send multiple texts and call numerous times to get any response. I got the truck back in August for only 2 weeks and noticed nothing had changed. Still going through coolant, twice as fast. Coolant was now getting into the oil. Definitely had a blown head gasket now. Brought it back immediately and the truck sat there from August to end of October with no work being done to it. It wasn t until then we were told Pinellas Diesel wanted to charge us all over again. To do the head job they were suppose to assess the first time. They didn t even want to discuss a discounted rate to pull the truck apart a second time. Blamed all of these issues on the head gasket we supplied. Once we got the truck home it now has shifting issues. Never had that problem in the 7 years I have owned the truck. In conclusion I wasted over 10 grand and half a year of time to this incapable, unorganized, careless shop. I was recommended this shop by Super Power Diesel on 118th Ave and have friends that work there. I was told Pinellas Diesel specialized in older diesels. I wouldn t pass that recommendation on.

Standard rip off mechanic. Take something in to get fixed, told a price, fixed problem, given bill with 20% add for things that were never mentioned or clarified prior to doing work. Be sure to check on the status of whatever you bring them, it may sit for a few weeks before they even begin to look at what s needed.

Terrible experience. I took my injector pump in for a rebuild, and within 35 hours it leaked at least 1 1/2 gallons of fuel into the crankcase. Removed pump, sent it back to them. They said it was not leaking, so I sent it to Southeast Power Systems in Ft. Myers. That technician found 2 shaft seals leaking. He replaced them. The cost of fixing Pinellas' poor work was over $1100 including labor. They ignored my request for reimbursement. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

We were told by another shop that have used for years that we needed new injectors and some other stuff for one of our company vehicles, about ~$3500 worth of work. I did not think this was the case and took the truck to Pinellas Diesel. We did not need the expensive injectors, only a minor repair that cost us less than $400.

Rebuilt my injection pump for 750. When it was time to launch thing didnt work. Brought it back, new rebuilt but had lost receipt, no order on file there. Complete rebuild again cost 1300. Use tranastlantic instead.
