I came in one afternoon with a tire that was loosing air. Sure enough, the team found a screw in my tire and it needed to be plugged.What surprised me though was that since the plug job was so easy, they didn t charge me and just fixed the tire really quick.That s the kind of service that will bring me back when I have future needs!

AWESOME SMOOTH experience! From the call to the actual service & checkout. Thank You for making it easy. In further detail, I asked for an oil change, got a scheduled time & did not wait nor did it take very long once I got there. I was given informative responses, a real care and attentiveness for my vehicle, which I seen they handled with respect.

Great service and quality. I had Brian take care of my Mercedes with new rotors and Bosch brake pads . Bob was the tech. I was extremely pleased with the service and the techs knowledge. They stayed past closing to get it done. The pricing was extremely fair. I recommend this particular shop for great service. I spoke to Ryan today for tires I'll be returning soon!

Great service from start to finish. Online website provided great deal on tires I needed. The scheduling was easy and service was amazing. Tires and alignment completed in a fair amount of time. Will return.

Ian and Ryan are ALWAYS so kind and helpful. I don't know the names of the guys inside doing the work too, but they are also very nice EVERY time I take my truck in!!

Ryan at the Clearwater location did me a huge favor when on the way to pick up my truck, I ran over a cord that got tangled into brakes. They took me in right away. Excellent service.

Don t waste your time or money!! My wife booked an appointment online for 130 for 4 new tires. I got there at 1. The assistant service manager Matt Wright, called another location in front of me asking if he had to honor the price I had booked on the website. He then complained to me that they were only making $20 on this service. Because the tires were more expensive to them than what the site charged me. After calling someone else to ask if this was right and he had to do it,he said they would get me in for my appointment. . FINALLY took my car into the bay at 2pm. I stayed to watch because I did not trust them at this point and the employees kept disappearing from the garage (pictures below) Then, about 35 minutes later they brought me out to my car and said we broke off 2 of your studs because they were over tightened and didn t even ask me before breaking them off.. you can feel when a stud is going to break before it happens. One was already broken, so conveniently they broke 2 more ON THE SAME TIRE (when magically all the others were ok) which left me with no choice but to have them replace it because you cannot drive with 2 studs. I waited 40 minutes for the studs to show up because they do not keep that stuff on hand ( you change tires!!!!! .). And it took them forever to bang out a couple studs (which is not hard by the way) and then charged me the labor for all of it. I finally got into my car at 4pm. This place is a scam and you should avoid it!! Pep boys has a lot of fancy commercials but not a trustworthy team to back them up. I ll never go back.

Richard and Michael are spectacular, they went way and beyond to rectify a issue with a incorrect tire order. The same day, in within hours I had the correct tires and they installed the same day even do my appointment was a day after. Again they are amaizing and customer service oriented!

Had a good experience at local Pep Boys Auto Center. Had oil change, tire rotation, and brakes done. Service was done expeditiously and car is running great!

Went there this morning due to wire separation on a defective tire that was bought at pep boys in April 2021 with a 65,ooo mile warranty which I have driven only about 17,000 miles on it and my original price on all four tires were $576.67 with road hazard warranty on them. Ian the store manager informed me that it was going to cost me $212 to replace the ONE tire. When I asked him why such a high price he told me that is what it is because of how he measured the depth of the tire so he was giving me only $50 credit, when I questioned him about the tire having more then 60% of mileage warranty left on it he told me that the 65,000 mile warranty doesn't mean you get 65000 miles on it, in another words he would not honor their warranty. I went to the store in Pinellas Park where they took care of me and actually honored pep boys warranty. Stay away from the this Clearwater store and Ian the manager horrible experience.

Pep Boys 1447, Clearwater, FLTrans: 080808Work order 2108599Negative experience 1 of 2.I have been stewing over this for months. Definitively feel like I was taken advantage of.Pep Boys is no longer the store that our dad s trusted. The price gouging and ineffective mechanics are the negative examples and destruction of what was once a trusted name.I took my 2006 Buick to this location to have a coolant leak diagnosed. After about an hour into a pressure test, the guess from the mechanic is that the radiator was bad. I say that as he really had no solid evidence, just his opinion.My estimate to replace: $1,138.01The estimate for the Radiator: $340.99Part # 8012562The same part from their supplier, Advance Auto, is: $239.99 (retail)Amazon is $147.45The estimate for the radiator cap: $18.98Part # 10231The same part from their supplier, Advance Auto, is: $9.29 (retail)So on parts, huge mark-up! Downright price gouging!On labor, the estimated charge was $588.80.After calling around to other shops, I was told a range of $250 to $375.Again, price gouging!And last The wrong diagnosis!I took the vehicle to another mechanic, where it was diagnosed as the water pump and thermostat.Total material and labor: $573.00End result:Paid $41.19 for a misdiagnosis.Made me question this location and the integrity of Pep Boys.As a follow-up, I contacted Pep Boys several weeks ago. The only response was an email asking for my phone number. They never reached out again.

The best tire buying experience of my life time. Ryan, the manager, runs a great shop and his staff is attentive and friendly. My 2018 Honda Ridgeline was done sooner than promised and the work was exceptional. Incredible prices and service. Highly recommended.

always courteous and honest in the care of my car and family. Fit me in quickly, was able to diagnose and fix a problem quickly, and on pick up they added a coupon saving me over $100. Will be back for routine care for our cars and any future problems. Thanks.

Setup my appointment the night before, had the tires I wanted delivered and put on promptly and correctly. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Financing plan made it easy on the wallet.

I can t give Ian enough credit for the service he provides to all his customers at Pep Boys. He and the rest of the staff are honest and don t sell you anything that you don t need. They have serviced all my vehicles and would recommend them to anyone who wants good service.

My brakes were grinding and i made an appointment. I got there and all the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable And my work was done on time even a little bit early and I really appreciate that since I just got done working 13 Hours. I was extremely tired but I loved the work I did and thank you!!!

I cannot say enough about everyone at this Pep Boys. No matter the problem they always come through. Ryan and Joe tag team on my oil change and I was in and out in less than a half hour. James is the one that usually does my oil, but he solving another issue on another car. Ian was missed yesterday but he's great too. They are my auto guys.
