The most honest mechanic you will find. I am new to the area and found Pete on a whim during an emergency with my car. He took care of it quickly, gave me all the information I needed, and was more than generous. Could not recommend more.

I was recommended to modern auto by a neighbor. So I went down for a quote, I was greeted by the owner Pete, I already had the problem diagnosed by another friend of mine, major failure of the cam and lifters. anyway I described the symptoms, and from experience Pete knew exactly what the issue was, down to the specific cylinder #, I'm impressed to say the least.Considering my available options he gave them to me straight. I knew then this is where I'll be having the repairs done. He was about 2 weeks out on work, that alone says alot about his work. I dropped the truck off and he had it done sooner than expected, the service, speed and quality went above and beyond what I expected.As a local small business owner and tradesman myself I understand the value of craftsmanship and taking pride in your work. I can't say enough about Pete and company, they are craftsmen at their finest. They're, genuine, friendly, professional, honest, forthright, fair.So long as they're in business, they'll have mine, I'm happy to have found them. Worth the wait, and money well spent. Don't forget to tip these guys well!!!Thank you Pete and company!

Pete at Modern Auto is the most honest and trustworthy mechanic I know in Largo FL. He's straight forward, tells you like it is and is always fair. The prices for services are quite reasonable and even if it's higher, I'd pay anyway to a guy I trust to treat me right. My family has been coming here for years. That says a lot right there. He's a fun person to talk to and makes you feel at ease. We all know how stressful it can be to find out what it's going to cost for auto repairs. If your looking for a new mechanic, I highly recommend Pete and his business. He's trustworthy and dependable. Hard to find in a repair shop these days. You just can't go wrong with Modern Auto on Missouri Ave in Largo, Florida.

Called Tuesday night, told me to drop my car off Wednesday morning to diagnose the issue with my car. They had it in and out with the diagnostic and repairs done in less than 2.5 hours. Thanks Pete!!

Because we're new to the area, we were referred to Pete (at Modern) by neighbors.Pete is a no B.S. guy. He fixed all the things that needed fixing, and nothing that didn't...unlike the car dealership that wanted to fix EVERYTHING and charge more than twice what Pete did. He's honest, and trustworthy. While this is only my first visit, I'm recommending Modern.

Wow, can't believe I am the first to review Modern Auto. Pete and Sam run a great shop, They are honest and fair priced. I tell anyone who is looking for repairs to go see them. I have never been disappointed with any work that has been done on my car ('93 Chevy) or any of my family's cars(4 in total). Stop in and you'll be glad you did.

While Pete Campbell has been working on cars for 40 years, not only does his experience bring in a wealth of knowledge, he stays ahead of the curve with his personal drive to continually get training of the latest trends and equipment technology. He provides quick and great service, provides thorough explanations, doesn't try to fix the non-fixable, and refers you out if it requires a specialty area that can do it better or less than he can. A bit of a character but you get that for free.

I have been dealing with Pete and his staff for the last 15 years. Very honest and professional. Their prices are cheaper than other places but the work is done to perfection. I highly recommend this repair shop.

Modern Auto has been our repair shop for over 30 years!! Pete knows what he's doing ------- and he is honest, trustworthy, and fair!! Qualities that are hard to find nowadays!! We wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Answer the phone very unprofessionally then when I asked him about prices that he couldn't give me a roundabout price and then when I try to schedule an appointment he said that he's all booked up
