Jimmy was fantastic. He is an automobile rock star. They were referred to me by Steve at Corey's Ohio garage in Largo. I had some signal coming up regarding the chassis and AWD in my 2014 Infiniti Q 50. These guys cleared up all computer messages and found thing were working fine. When I asked him what the charge was he said, "no charge. I would send my own mother to these guys if she were still alive. Top notch and then some.

I called for a simple quote for a pan drop and transmission filter replacement and was told it's useless and a waste of money. I was pretty dumbfounded that a transmission shop of all places would say such nonsense. Major red flag.I was also told to forget about OEM maintenance as it's just a way for dealers to steal money. There are plenty of reasons that dealers steal money but abiding by their maintenance schedule is not one of them.Finally, after a long rant, he quoted me $325 which is insane unless their hourly rate is north of $250.This is why I do 90% of vehicle work myself as you can't trust anyone anymore and clearly this place wants your transmission to break down early.Update: I feel like I need to respond to somethings. First, it was never explained to me with, "in my opinion," or "in my experience." It was explained in a way that could only be understood as a universal fact that a fluid and filter change is useless. It was also stated that transmissions come with fluid good "for the life of the vehicle." What they don't state is how long they deem that life time is. Hint: Until warranty expires.Using customer hearsay is not a good gauge of truth. If fifty customers say their transmission died shortly after a filter change or flush, there will be another fifty that had no problems. In my simple experience, I have maintained every transmission in my vehicles with no failures through several filter and fluid changes in addition to many others I know.I called around to many different transmission shops and most of them would have put the wrong transmission fluid in my vehicle. Perhaps the reason so many transmissions fail is due to incorrect fluid being flushed through them by transmission shops? They are engineered with very fine tolerances as I'm sure any transmission technician understands and a fluid with a higher or lower viscosity incorrectly used would surely account for many failures.I also agree that many failures can be attributed to neglect of maintenance or some transmissions are simply designed horribly and will fail regardless of fluid and filter changes. However, telling customers to ignore the maintenance and the recommendation of the engineers who designed the machines is not the correct way to go, in my opinion.Is a 1-star review harsh? Maybe. It wasn't for not taking my money, but in exchange for being told to neglect my transmission without asking its service history or mileage and accusing dealers of wanting to take money which seemed wreckless. Thanks for not taking my money, but if I were stranded and needed a transmission rebuild/replacement due to neglect for 10x the cost of a simple fluid and filter change, you would like to take it then.

Jimmy and his crew do a great job at a good price. I have two older vehicles that have both needed transmission work. In both cases this group did a commendable job of repairing these two vehicles. They are good about communicating what they find needed to be done and get it done quickly. I was fortunate to be referred to this group by my regular mechanic.

Jimmy and the guys did an EXCELLENT job rebuilding my transmission! Shifts better than ever, and none of that weird shudder F-150s normally do! Great customer service, and friendly. Worth every penny!!

Had my transmission rebuilt by this company. Had to take it back 3 times because they couldn't get it right. Now after having it running for 3 months the transfer case grommet keeps falling off (common issue with jeeps I know). He tells me I have to leave it with him just to figure out the part. I have had my son in law replace the zip ties holding it on in less than 2 minutes in a parking lot and he knows very little about working on cars. Yes, the guy gave me a good and fair prices but had my jeep for 2-1/2 months and couldn't get it right. Keeping in mind I have a factory 2wd and shouldn't be too complicated. You can't call them for anything after they are done and it takes forever to get anything done. Won't be recommending or calling them ever again. Take note. I just finally got my jeep back on mid December.

I took my vehicle to AAMCO on martin luther king avenue in clearwater, in May 2022. They tried to rip me off, had to call police to get my vehicle back, and did a dispute with my bank and also won that, and received my money back.Took it to just rite Transmissions, after AAMCO had messed it up even worse, and these guys are great, very respectful and knowledgeable about Transmissions. Was very affordable, I would recommend taking your vehicle to these guys. I am a 100% disabled veteran and these guys treated me with respect.

My experience with this shop has stretched from over a decade. I have used other shops in the past but have yet to be matched with quality of work and at their price. I truly am a walking billboard for this shop, anytime someone mentions anything about transmission work I immediately refer them to Just Rite. I have never had a unpleasant experience coming out of this shop. They are honest and never add on extra work at the end for additional cost. Truly one of the best shops in Tampa Bay!!!

Took my 2003 Buick LeSabre in for diagnostic and estimate. After road testing and shop inspection, Jim told me in detail what was "NOT" happening in my transmission. Estimate for repair was $1,400 for transmission rebuild. I got my car back on time and the price quoted was what I paid. No extra charges and no BS. I highly recommend Just Rite and would use them again if needed. It was a totally good experience for me to have someone take the time to explain things in detail and answer my questions.Thanks Guys.

I called and was really trying to get a specialized transmission shop or my vehicle. Forgive me but my experience was awful. I advise you take women seriously. Over the phone they didn't give me any price. I followed my gut. Went to a prominent shop who caters towards women. I hope this doesn't deter your business. I am an attorney and think we could have done business. I am anal. I ended up going to Alltech Transmissions and they were so honest. They even tried encouraging me to give Just Rite another chance, but I was hurt by the treatment they gave me.m I like to know I am in great hands. In fact I changed from windows to apple because I like to be made significant if I am spending substantial money.Recommend to work on customer service more. Thanks- no disrespect.

I was Blessed by God finding Jimmy with Just Rite Transmissions. It is very scary when your car breaks down and being female not really knowing who to trust. So, I say a little prayer and hit the computer to google trans shops and call and get quotes and info on warranties than go back and read previous reviews for each shop. Jimmy was the least expensive with a decent one year warranty and great reviews from OTHER MECHANICS!!!!!!. I called one of the previous reviewers from an auto shop that send all their transmission jobs to his shop. They said Just rite transmissions do excellent work and inexpensive prices! Thanks Jimmy! (even though he hardly ever reads his reviews) I had my transmission rebuilt on a 2001 acura mdx. 5/26/2017 When other mechanics send their transmission work to Jimmy of Just Rite Transmissions you know you found the right transmission shop. PS......The week before I paid another shop 60 dollars to fix my break lights....Jimmy calls and says do you know your break lights are not working....."gasp!!!!!" He fixed them for free. Also my shifter wasn't working properly, (had to use a pair of scissors to stick in a hole to put in gear.) Jimmy also fixed that for free and the quote from acura just for that was close to 300 dollars. (that is why I never had it fixed)

What can we say the name says it all JUST RITE. Used jimmy and the crew to perform a rebuild on my Toyota, got it done 1 time and it was better than new. I have heard about other transmission shops and cars coming back numerous times, not the case at Just rite. If you want your job done once go here lol Thanks again Jim and crew

Been using Jimmy for years. Never an issue. Done once done right. Price is always good. He is smart and gets the job done. Other tranny shops have nothing on these guys. The best.

My work truck transmission has 250k miles on it. when it started slipping in 3rd gear, I through it was shot with the high miles. I brought it here to have them check it out. They said they dropped the pan and looked at the tranny. They said it was in great shape for the miles and put a new relay in the transmission. $200 out the door to have my transmission fixed. I thought for sure I was going to be paying for a new one.

The gentleman I spoke to from day 1 was honest and respectful. Told me when I had time drop it off. I finally had time to drop my vehicle off. They diagnosed the issue and got my truck back on the road. Honest and reasonable prices. Thanks guys

Literally anywhere else. Left my car for a week and they didn t even look at it. Quoted me 2k for a rebuild that would take 2 weeks. A general mechanic found the cause in 10 minutes.

I would just love to share my thoughts about my time spend with those wonderful individuals ... They got me right in the door , let me know what what needed to happen , they made it happen in such a short amount of time and I was on my way . I didn't feel ripped off. I felt happy and satified , I will come back if ever needed and will tell all my friends. I was treated very nicely and they were so pleasant and sweet i recommend any body with Transmission issues or whatever Just Right Transmission is the place for doing it right and honest!!! Outstanding experience, thanks Jimmie! Not fun having to have it done but a great experience once I got here. He got me in Monday morning, I approved the quote Tuesday morning and picked it up Wednesday afternoon. And at a price I was pleasantly surprised with, exactly what I was quoted.

No scams at this place. Honest staff. Experienced friendly techs. 4 other machanics told me that my automatic transmission on my 2003 maxima was bad. The tech here took the car on a long test drive, allowed me to come. He correctly diagnosed the noise I was hearing as a wheel bearing. Did not charge me for the diagnosis, but I gladly tipped $10.

I fully recommend just right transmissions. They were helpful they explained everything in detail and took every step to figure out the issue and to solve it. So here I am AGAIN with a tranny issue. A few years ago I had a Cadillac STS that had to have a complete tranny rebuild. Jimmy was recommended by another Tranny guy that was retiring and didn't really want to hassle with the full rebuild. Got my car fixed and at the price quoted.Now a few years later I'm having trouble with a Mercedes S500 and I'm taking it to Jimmy because he was fair, honest and reasonable with my previous car. Hopefully its not a full rebuild, if not, I know this shop is honest and good!
