Recently had a lot of work done here on my 2003 dodge ram. Transmission rebuild, power steering pump,lights,windows,fuse panel,door hindges,air conditioning and many other repairs. Nick got it done in a reasonable time and very reasonable price. He made numerous calls to me on progress and pricing.he stated all work is guaranteed and any issues in future just let him know. With used car prices nowadays I recommend keeping your older truck or car and fixing up. Thank you for the quality work. Response time excellent. Weekend quote request was followed up Monday morning at 10am.Jason was extremely knowledgeable, professional and responsive. I am writing this review to publicly thank the entire staff at ETC. They returned my recently acquired 2003 Ford Regency Conversion Van to me in tip-top condition. This is a wonderful group of professionals who are committed to investing the time, energy and effort needed to provide the absolute best long-term repairs and results possible.They are patient and listen to everything you have to say, even if it doesn't always come out the right way. There is no BS from them when it comes to what is needed to repair your vehicle. They went above and beyond to find the CORRECT parts that was needed to repair my A/C system, as opposed to repeating a short term solution that had gone bad in less than 2 years with the previous owner. Although it took way longer than expected to get my van back (waiting on shipping of various parts), I am beyond thrilled with the results and I am now ready to hit the road and travel! Nick was great to work with! My transmission would only shift to third gear and I explained the symptoms and error codes that I had over the phone. Nick was extremely familiar with the problem and provided an estimate 'ball park' if that was in fact the issue. They picked up the vehicle exactly on time and updated me 2 business days later once diagnostics began. The car was ready to be picked up exactly when he said. The parts are expensive but pricing was great. The communication was excellent from the texting about the tow, the updates, and paying the bill online. Highly recommended. I contacted Engine and Transmission Center after the check engine light came on in my 2004 Acura TL and my diagnostic scanner revealed a code that indicted a transmission problem. Before contacting Engine and Transmission Center, I had contacted 2 other transmission shops that were referred to me by friends, but I got some strange vibes during my initial communication with them that led me to pursue other options. Thus, I found Engine and Transmission Center and filled out a form on their shop s website where I detailed issues I was having with my car. I love that Engine and Transmission Center has an online form that you can fill out. It helped me easily communicate all the issues that I was experiencing and it was much easier to have those issues already documented for when I actually brought my car in. After I filled out the form, Nick from Engine and Transmission Center suggested I contact him, so I did. Nick was extremely helpful and accommodating in arranging a time for me to bring my car in for a free diagnostic test, road test and estimate. He was completely straight forward with the timeframe and turnaround time that would be required for the diagnosis and estimate. I felt very comfortable working with Nick and his professionalism helped establish a trust and transparency that I felt was lacking in other shops I contacted prior. When I dropped off my car, Nick was extremely professional and engaged in providing quality service and prioritizing my main concerns with my vehicle. I was also impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the office and facility, and it reiterated to me that I was dealing with professionals that take pride in what they do and want to help people. Nick provided me with a diagnosis and estimate within about a day, which was faster than he told me it could initially take due to the shop being very busy. The diagnosis Nick provided was through and very competitively priced. His approach was very professional when providing me information about the quote and answering my questions. He gave me appropriate time to make my decision and never pressured me into any decisions like some car places tend to do. He also told me the estimate he provided would not change and that would be what I would pay when the work was done. I ve had places where the final total goes up from the estimate when they start working on the car, and that is not how Engine and Transmission Center approached my estimate. They are very transparent, professional and considerate of their customers needs. I am very happy I discovered Engine and Transmission Center because it can be very hard to find a car place that you feel you can trust. I highly recommend Engine and Transmission Center. My brother had recently purchased a used Nissan Frontier which started experiencing transmission skipping a few weeks after purchase. The first shop that gave us a diagnosis that involved getting an entirely new transmission. Unfortunately, that was very disheartening to hear so we looked for a second opinion which resulted in the same outcome. This whole ordeal took months, when I stumbled upon the Engine and Transmission Center in Clearwater. They picked up the truck from the other shop and gave us rough estimates prior to evaluating the truck. These estimates were definitely something that was in the budget as a worst case scenario. The next day they looked at the truck, evaluated the transmission, and determined that it was excessively low on transmission fluid. We have had the truck back for over a week now and the truck is running better than ever! I cannot thank the team enough for not price gouging us and giving an accurate evaluation of the truck. Had wife's transmission replaced, got the truck back in only 4 days which was nice. Nick told me. Upon picking it up "tell your wife it might ride a little different now". Which I found odd, but said ok. Wife gets in the truck to drive home, with me in my own truck, calls and tells me the truck is shaking. I told her let's get home and I will check it there. Sure enough, truck is shaking like crazy in Park and in gear at idle. Call Nick immediately, he said they will pick the truck up to look at it again. Next day, tow truck picks it up and takes it to their shop. Nick calls me around 10 and says they don't see anything wrong, they feel the shake but isn't what they did. Truck had zero issues besides the transmission slipping before replacement. I told him and it only started after them replacing it. He said he will look again. Calls me at lunch says, "nope no issues, must be a misfire.." I go test drive truck with Nick, still shaking. He says we'll not the transmission. All he did was test drive the truck never physically inspected anything in the transmission to see if something is out of balance. I take truck and go to chevy dealership, $200 later they say the motor mounts are broken now but absolutely NO MISFIRE ISSUES.. I email Nick, tell him what they said. Obviously is something they did well pulling and replacing transmission. He says they be happy to replace the motor mounts for almost $1200.... I ended up having the mounts replaced else where and the truck still had a shake. My wife can't drive the truck and I am disabled combat veteran. Ended up trading the truck in and buying a new truck due to not wanting to spend more money. Absolute garbage service and do not stand behind their work. Would not recommend to anyone. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and will tell every veteran organization around to black list this company. $4000 down the drain.Service: Transmission

Awesome people!!! My transmission went out in a Port Charlotte. We rented a car to get home planning on going back the next day and trailer it home. I called around to get an idea on costs to rebuild and Jason offered to pick it up for a very reasonable fee and No obligation to use him. Not only was he the best price, I felt very comfortable with them and they were very honest, helpful and they got me in and out now I have a very smooth ride!!!Will definitely use again!!***BONUS***And they do engine repair work as well!!They fixed my A/C while they had my truck!!Thank you Thank you Thank you Scott M

Several times now he could easily duped me but has always been honest and found the real issue that cost far less than what I had wrongly diagnosed. I took my car for a regular transmission service. Then I needed valve cover gaskets, head, gaskets, spark plugs, and replaced my engine oil cooler and now my car makes a horrible noise it never made before. He tried to tell me it was my front suspension. Horrible mechanics. This car makes this noise when it s not moving. This car was in perfect running condition before I gave it to them. They created all these problems in my car.

These guys are amazing!! I am a home care nurse and during the middle of my day my brakes were not safe to drive, needless to say I didn t know that, just kept hearing this loud rubbing noise. I called engine and transmission center and nick answered the phone. I told him what was going on and he immediately walked me through safety 101 of driving with the noise I was hearing. Which was do not drive your car, sounds silly to say but I would have kept driving because I am not familiar with this stuff. Nick took his time and helped calm me down and said we will tow it, leave it parked and we ll come get it. Of course, I m thinking great here goes more money out the window. NOPE complimentary tow. Wow! Not only were they professional and great but also compassionate and caring about me which now a days is rare. I drive for a living and my car is how I work. These guys were so fast and efficient my car was done the very next day. Anyone and everyone should come here. I am so blessed for them and all they have done for me and will continue to go there! Always amazing. Had some intermittent overhearing concerns in my Lexus GX470. They were able to find the issue in a quick fashion and get the repairs done as I was in need to my vehicle. Their prices are low and reasonable and the staff from Scott and Jason, down to the techs are all top notch. No reason to ever take my truck any place else. Thank you always ETC.

This company provides great service. I am not from the area and had issues with my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. They did a free check of my truck, provided me with different options on repair and recommended the best option for me. The fixed the truck in a very timely manner at what I thought was a reasonable price. They also did a followup with me to ensure the truck was operating properly. I would go there again and recommend them to all.

I'm impressed! After being told I needed a new transmission from several different sources I stumbled upon these guys at the Engine and Transmission Center! I explained my situation over the phone and was told that my transmission could be repaired. They towed my car in and within less then a week my car was fixed! The price that I was given over the phone remained at the completion of services. I was given a warranty on the services completed. My car is driving like a dream!! I highly recommend this shop for your transmission repairs!!!

Spoke with Jason. Very knowledgeable and personable. I stopped by some other transmission shops, and they wouldn't even get out of their chair. All they said was "could be anything, you have to leave it."Jason on the other hand immediately gave me a detailed description of exactly what the problem was and recommendations for repairing. During our conversation he received some phone calls, but always came back and and continued his explanation. He gave me more than enough useful information, and I felt very satisfied. People like this in the auto industry are rare as I have been dealing with them for 35 years. Don't waste time going elsewhere.

After starting out with my local mechanic who recommended I get a used rear end for my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, I was recommended to the Engine and Transmission center by a local independent car dealer. These guys rebuilt the rear end instead. They have the expertise to do this type of work. I am so happy with the job. The truck runs great. They gave me a 12000 mile or one year warranty on it as well at a great price! I highly recommend these guys!

I own a towing company in Gibsonton Florida. I looked at several other shops. When I talked to Jason he walked me through the options and helped me navigate through what would be best for my tow truck. He was very up front and honest. I personally hold a Master ASE Cert and I was impressed with the knowledge and honesty of this shop. I've worked for a lot of shops out here in the Tampa Bay. This shop here stands apart by far. There Customer Service is top notch I was keep in the loop the whole way. I must also say that the office never seemed bothered by the fact I was calling to check on the truck. If there was more stars I would give them more. thank you guys you are great.

I want to start off by saying this place is amazing and the mechanics here are very knowledgeable. I had issues with my 09 jeep wrangler and Todd took care of me and worked with me even after 2 months of waiting for the right parts.( issues with other companies) Never had any issues with getting updates of the work being and done and the quality of the work is amazing as well as the time it was done. I would recommend this place for anyone that has issues with there vehicles. If you need anything done from the transmission to the rear diff Keith is your man. Thank you guys for the patience and everything you did for me I really appreciate it.
