The best I have ever seen. Our truck sat for 6 months because every one tried to fix it but couldn't. Took it to this guy and he fixed it in an hour. He is like a doctor, a brain surgeon but for your vehicle. If I could make everyone go to him I would. He has always been very polite and honest and very good priced. Just so many good things. Go and know your in good hands

Called Dexter's Automotive on a whim at 5:30 PM stating I had a broken automatic tensioner in my vehicle with all the parts to replace it but unable to remove it. Scott told me to swing by. I made it to the shop around 6:00 PM and he started working on the vehicle by 6:10. Scott fought the bolt holding the tensioner for a good amount of time, but of course he was able to remove it. By this point, the shop is past business hours, he is working on personal time. I did not have a replacement bolt, but he had a ride ready to bring me to the parts store for a new bolt after he removed the assembly. When I returned, he quickly put it all back together and sent me on my way. This shop is ran by an absolute legend with wicked skills. To top it off, he offered me an incredibly affordable price after giving me his personal time to fix my car. I was very impressed with the service.

Got a quote from the Dealer to fix our brakes that was way beyond what we could do and seemed excessive to the scope of what really needed fixing. Dexter fixed it right away at a fraction of the cost. He was able to fix just what was actually broken.

Great service here - the shop is tucked away behind a tire place . The shop owner is an expert and honest and that is what keeps me coming back. He found me a great used engine to replace my 350,000 mile Honda Civic original engine and swapped engines out for me at a reasonable price and its been running great for over a year already. You can bring a folding chair and sit outside in shade if you prefer to wait and there is a nice 7 eleven right across the street for cold drinks and restroom.

Absolutely awesome place to take your vehicle. Scott Dexter is the owner and is a very personable person to deal with. Our vehicle needed major repairs but we did not have all of the money at the time mr. Dexter was kind enough to extend us the loan on the time in which to pay. thanks again Scott you really saved us the discounted price you gave us was cheaper than most others that wanted way more. I would like to thank you and your employees for their courtesy and professionalism during our visit with your shop. I highly recommend you to others and bless you and your business and your families thanks again the Hughes family.

I was told by the dealership and another shop my car was unfixable and handed a ridiculous bill from them. I heard from a friend about Dexter s and they fixed it and gave me a bill that was so low I thought there was some mistake. I wish I could give them 0 stars. These guys are so unprofessional. Guess you get what you pay for. I came to them not even a month ago with head gasket issues after my car over heated. Scott Dexter swore up and down my engine was fine.charged $500 for a new radiator and cat converter .Not even a month after the repairs (which took over a week and multiple phone calls to get done) my car won't start. I get it to him on a Friday night he told me to come back Saturday .They never showed up that day. Within 2 weeks i made Multiple phone calls to his private number and the shop I finally got an answer. Blown head gasket. he doesn't return calls or texts. I came three different times during business hours and sat in the parking lot for 2 hours and they never showed up. And this is during working hours. I had to chase a mechanic down the street once who was hiding in the back and waited for me not to pay attention to peel out. Took me 8 days to finally get my key back and that's cuz I made my dad get it from them. And they refused to give it to him at first. I blame the ignorance on the fact they were drunk and tweakingSo now I'm out money and still have the original issues I came in with. Side note every time I came here other people would pull up waiting for them too because they had their cars and weren't returning calls or fixing anything.one if the guys was a police officer who pulled up in the squad car trying to get ahold of someone. Don't bother. Go somewhere else even if it costs more you'll get better xcustome service

I brought a truck to Dexter that I needed a second opinion for purchasing. Dexter showed me exactly what was wrong with the truck. The price the was too high for the mileage and the problems that were wrong with it. Dexter not only saved me from a financial disaster he found a better truck for half the price in way better condition.Thanks Dexter!!!!

While on Vacation in Florida visiting some family my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 was having some sort of an electrical issue. It wouldn't start or stay running and my dash was dimming and the head lights flickered. I thought it was a battery at first, bought a new one, didn't work. So I buy a new altenator and that didn't work either!I was outside of Advance Auto Parts with the hood up and on the phone with the local Dodge Dealership getting ready to have it towed for $300.00 and a upfront cost for diagnostic of $300.00, so up to this point I've spent $400.00+ on new battery and altenator and about to drop another $600.00 and it still wouldn't be fixed!At this point I have no idea what I should do and I'm very angry!So a truck pulls up next to me and out jumps this guy who walks over to the truck, scans it with his eyes and then leans forward and takes a big whiff! I said "can I help you"?The guy looks over at me and says "you got an electrical issue and I bet it won't stay running". I was dumbfounded and replied "yeah how'd you know"?He begins to educate me on known instrument cluster issue's that happen to my model truck! I ask if he is a mechanic and he introduces himself as Scott Dexter, the owner of Dexter's Automotive! To make a long story short, he had it picked up and brought to his shop in 20 mins, had 2 of his employees jump on my truck and within an hour they figured out what the issue was! So the one mechanic came over to me and said "good news we found the problem, bad news is a new instrument cluster will be a special order part and won't be here for 6-7 days". I was crushed!I had to be back at work in 3 days and my children had to be at school!At this time, Scott overheard the conversation and said "Hold on a second" and walks over to my truck, lays on the floor board sticks his arm behind my steering wheel, rattles something, calls for some tools and a flashlight and within a few minutes he stands up, connects my battery, turns the key and starts my truck!He tells his guys to install my dash back and within 20 mins my truck is running fine!I was freaking out that he fixed it so quickly and without any parts! Here is the best part! He only charged me $150.00!!!!!I just wanted to say "THANK YOU MR.DEXTER AND YOUR TEAM" and "THANK YOU FOR RESTORING MY FAITH IN HUMANITY"!Dexter's Automotive gets 10,000 stars!

Brought my s550 mercedes there to have air suspension repaired after of month and half of having g the car he called to say it was fixed I went picked up car to find on both wheel wells chipped paint from car leaning on tire in which he gave me his word he would have painted I went home with car the very next day I go to car to find the air suspension was back down un drivable so I paid another mechanic to fix it so now I jis needed him to make it right by having the wheel wells painted now he is avoiding my calls qnd texts if your smart do not bring your car to this sleezy mechanic .. my work van and wife's car aswell have same issues again that he was paid for to fix this guy is the worst mechanic in orlando facts.Service: Painting

I was very unsatisfied with The service I received I was told parts will be replaced with new parts that wasn't and my car is not safe to drive. It cost me $400.00 to drive a car Thats not safe I would have to say to think twice before going here

Scott and his crew are great mechanics and friendly and honest as they comeThe only downfall to Dexter's is that their lifts are outdoors, so during inclement weather it's nearly impossible for them to get work done..
