Let me start off by saying our server, Richard five star serving experience. attention to detail menu knowledge was fantastic. My sister, brother-in-law, and I will make this a favorite. Also, a side note three of the staff members recognized my sister and brother-in-law from previous dining experiences. Great staff from start to finish.

Lobster was over-cooked, steak was under cooked. French fries and broccoli were cold. Waiter disappeared and I had to get up twice to ask for condiments and a wine list. When we finished dinner and asked to have another glass of wine we could take to our room (we were staying in the hotel). The server said of course so we proceeded to order another 50 dollars worth of wine. When I asked for the ladies room the manager proceeded to basically tell me I had to pour my wine in a plastic cup or pour it out. The server was wrong and that was that. He was rude and we had just spent about $1000 for a dinner for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The manager never stopped by to see how the dinner was nor did the server stop by until midway after the steaks were served to check on fineness or satisfaction. There were cold items and soap items. Definitely not a do over if you are expecting more than a great view with an ok mean at New York City prices without the service.I wouldn t waste your money or your time. Stop in for a cocktail and maybe a shrimp cocktail (3 for $24 with a bit of crab). They really can t mess that up and the view is really nice.

I was at Tween Waters as part of a group of 50 people back in January. 2 nights in a row (once at Crow's Nest and the other at the adjoining restaurant), the hostess was the rudest host I have ever encountered in all my years of traveling. We I asked our server if the hostess was the owner (thinking that was the only way she could have that job), she replied no but she is getting better. Our server was fabulous but the host was not only rude to our party but everyone that came through the front door.I have never left a negative review but this was the worst experience I have ever had with someone "greeting" us when we walked in for our reservations.

I have been visiting this place since 2012, typically 2 to 3 times a year. Tween Waters has always held a special significance for our family. Unfortunately, our dinner experience last night was quite unpleasant. Our waitress exhibited rude and disrespectful behavior throughout the entire evening. Every time she approached our table, we couldn't help but feel uneasy, wondering what we had done wrong. We patiently waited for her to greet us and take our drink order. When it came time for my 9-year-old to decide between hot tea and iced tea, he took just a minute to decide, but she responded with rolled eyes and said she would be back to take his order. I ordered chicken tacos, but the plate looked like someone had hastily placed beans over rice. The tacos tasted terrible, and to my dismay, I discovered that the rice was hard, uncooked, or old and cold. Politely, I sent it back, explaining the issue, but she gave me a significant attitude and made me repeat my explanation three times.Things escalated when we asked for separate bills. She didn't grasp that request and slammed the bill folders onto our table. Even after I told her we would handle our own finances, she insisted, took the bills back, and then forcefully returned, slamming them on the table, declaring that she was done, and left. I sincerely hope there is video footage of this incident.Anastai, if you dislike your job, please consider finding another one. Tween Waters has always been known for its class, tranquility, and friendliness. Your aggressive and unprofessional attitude, especially with a minor at the table, was uncalled for and simply rude. It was disheartening to hear my companions recounting the terrible dining experience to friends and family that night, expressing the hope that you wouldn't be working during breakfast. This dinner will not be a positive memory in our vacation book. Shame on you.

The food and service at the bar were phenomenal and well above average and expectations. The hostess and initial customer service were among the worst I have experienced. The hostess failed on every level of hospitality and customer service. Her attitude and approached ruined a perfectly good trip and evening. We will not be back to the resort because of her.

Marco the server is the best. Food is absolutely amazing. I can t wait to see how this restaurant does in season probably won t be able to get a table it will be so popular. We had the filet, ribeye, and scampi with loaded potato and asparagus. Good atmosphere. The 2 stars is for a couple reasons. The food came out warm. Had the filet and lobster and both were slightly above room temp. The biggest gripe I had was that they have no kids menu and wouldn t accommodate anything off the menu - like grilled cheese.I recommend cielo.

Not sure how you can screw up this concept but they found a way to do it. We just got back to our house on the island in the beginning of October for season. I've heard mixed reviews from the locals and my neighbors but I always like to make my own decision. We got to the hotel and walked in through their downstairs restaurant which is like a zoo filled with ill behaved children running everywhere. Not the hotel's fault but not somewhere I would want to spend any time. We found the stairs over near the bathrooms and went up to find a gorgeous space. Whoever picked the decor, bravo. Very well done. That's where positives end. We sat at the empty bar and it took a while to be greeted by the bartender. We then were approached by Jen the manager of the restaurant to let us know that the bar seats were reservation only. What? We would have to either book a table or bar seat in advance. She didn't even say if they were booked or not, just that we needed a reservation for a bar seat. Truly astounding. This is not how you treat your locals or hotel guests for that matter. So needless to say we did not even get to have a drink, much less eat. I will not be returning and putting down a credit card to sit at a bar. In my opinion, this is in poor taste for an area that is still piecing itself back together from Ian.

Lovely place and great service....prices are inflated, though! My husband ordered the dinner special which was a bone in aged rib eye....the regular rib eye on the menu was $45 so my husband thought this rib eye would be close to that price. When the bill came, the ribeye was $120!!!! Without any side dishes! Side dishes are about $11 each! We each had an appetizer, a dinner, a bottle of wine and a dessert....total price was $322!!! If you are watching your wallet, be careful at this restaurant!

Don't waste your time or money and watch your credit card statement. We decided to try this place out since it was one of our last nights staying at the resort. We were told by 4 employees including the head hostess that reserved our table that the dress code was strict. We were told no shorts, tank tops, or sandals. Luckily through our travels we have learned to always bring one nice outfit because you never know. So we were excited to dress up and have a nice meal. The odd part was the head hostess took my credit card information, I mean ALL my information. I've never seen anything like that, I wasn't even going to use the card. So I'm a little freaked out at the moment and wondering why she took so much info for a reservation at a resort we are staying at already. The name says it all...crows nest. You will have to walk through the restaurant with beach goers eating to get to the stairs for the crows nest above. When we were seated we noticed that the dress code policy was non existent. Which I'm not worried about but if so many people over a span of a couple days keeps telling us that we have to dress nice and I get there and all I see is shorts, sandles, Crocs and tank tops then it makes me feel like I was lied to.So don't worry about the dress code because they don't care.As far as the food goes. I ordered the lamb shank, which came in a very deep set bowl and a slop of brown soup stuff around it. Nothing else seemed edible in the mess. I felt like a very small child at an adult table with large everything. I could barely get into the bowl to get to the lamb without holding my arms very high and awkwardly. I had to use a small plate to even cut and eat the lamb. My husband got the lobster tail stuffed with crab meat. That was pretty tasty but it was pricey at a little under $80 so be prepared. The rest of the plate was undercooked. The lobster came with risotto which was undercooked. I'm not talking al dente undercooked because I understand that's how it's supposed to be I'm talking crunchy hard rice pieces undercooked. There were also brussel sprouts that were slightly undercooked but not bad. The best part honestly was the bread with rosemary infused oil for dipping. In all to include entrees no appetizer or dessert and 3 drinks your looking at spending close to $200. I would waste your money on the cheaper restaurants around or downstairs because it's still pricey, but no "dress" code.Vegetarian options: Some thing's are marked vegetarian and gluten free if you are allergic or don't eat meat, but it's maybe a handful.

Have enjoyed the Captiva House at Tween for many years and just had the opportunity to dine at the new Crows Nest Steakhouse. The unobstructed view of the gulf is picture perfect and the interior design is relaxed but elegant just so well done. Our meals were top notch. We had the filet (cooked perfectly), lobster tail, cauliflower au gratin, seared tuna entree and asparagus side. Portions are generous, well presented and delicious. Cant wait to try the Ceasar prepared tableside and the smoked old fashioned! We will return soon!!
