As full time Cape Coral residents, we often take day trips out to North Captiva and Boats and Fun always makes that experience so much more enjoyable for us. We love their selection of newer golf carts to tool around the island during the day and their staff is always so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

I used the chater as a taxi for a work related travel. Captain Robin was SO accomidating and helpful to me and my team. He was very kind and provided so many helpful services. I also spoke at least one person on the phone about my reservation several times. We had a bunch of odd things regarding payment as this was for my work. The person, or possible persons, I spoke to were beyond kind. I'm coming back to Boats and Fun (and Captain Robin) for my personal and work boating needs! I can't say enough great things!

We had a group of friends visiting the island and needed an additional golf cart for the week. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cart was clean and in great shape. It worked perfectly and was great for us to enjoy the island! We would definitely rent from Boats and Fun again!

Enjoyed a 1/2 day boat rental through Boats and Fun. Expert instructions on the boat, the area, and the staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating!Also order fresh caught fish through their service. Definitely a must do for anyone vacationing on the island!

I was building a boat. I never handled a boat before, so I hired the folks at Boats and Fun. I explained that I was looking for a center console boat since mine will be similar. They easily accommodated my request. The lesson was 2 hours long. For the first 45 minutes Captain Bill oriented my wife and I to the boat itself. We then went out to the docks and practiced docking and launching. Captain Bill was great. He was clear, calm and very patient. After that he taught me how to deal with the channel markets. How to get on plane . How to use gos effectively to follow a course. Both my wife and I loved the experience. In fact, we did a second booking with Captain Bill to reinforce the skills we were learning. I highly recommend this group for training as well as boat rentals.

Rented a boat on Tuesday the 23rd of June as we had a previous rental fall through with someone else. Everything happens for a reason as we could not have been more pleased with our experience with Boats & Fun. Rented out of St. James on Pine Island and with Capt. Bill Flanagan. He provided us with great insight on the area and what to see where we were going. Also the times to skip Cabbage Key because of the lunch rush. It was a perfect day and the boat was great. Had GPS with pre programmed routes for anywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely be booking with Boats & Fun on our next Florida trip!

Literally the highlight of our trip. Matias was the absolute best. He found one random dolphin then all of a sudden we had 6 or 7 dolphins riding the waves of the boat. Knows all the history around the island very respectful of all wildlife. He was the absolute best

Amazing experience! The staff catered to my family desires even with our long list of expectations. Us Canadians couldn t be more proud of this family business to go above and beyond for us. Thank you Boats and Fun for the lasting memories.

The Boat s and Fun staff are some of the friendliest, helpful and kind people you will run into on the island. Knowledgeable about their business and location and very conversational while just passing the time with their patrons. All of your island and on the water needs can be met in one spot, while visiting North Captiva.

We took a private island tour with Boats and Fun and it was amazing! Captain Bill took us to a secluded sandbar where we found dozens of sand dollars, and then around to Cabbage Key where we had an amazing lunch and the kids got to play with tortoises! Bill was full of stories and information about the islands we passed... and we even got some aerial photos from his manager who did a fly by in their plane!

I called Boats and Fun from Tampa before we left for our trip to Cape Coral. I wanted to find out if they were able to accommodate my daughter who is 22 and uses a wheelchair. I wanted to visit Cabbage Key with both my daughters because I had been as a kid and had wonderful memories. Captain Mike and I spoke about the specifics of the trip and he just simply said "We'll find a way?" We met at the marina and were able to lift Sarah (who only weighs 95 lbs) into the boat and place her travel wheelchair secure in the back for the ride. He stopped along the way to show us dolphins and then we had a beautiful ride to Cabbage Key. It was so relaxing and fun. He truly cares about making sure his customers have a good time and he was especially helpful with accommodating someone with a disability. My daughters had such a great time. I would suggest a ramp for the boat if you have a larger adult but for a small person or child with a disability it was pretty easy to get her in the boat and then the restaurant has an accessible golf cart and the restaurant is accessible. If I could give a higher rating than 5 starts it would be 1000. It was one of the best days I've spent with my girls EVER!! Thank you, Captain Mike. You are a treasure.

The staff are awesome and very accommodating. The tire went low on the golf cart and someone was at the house within the hour and had it fixed. Definitely recommend them.

The boats were new. The guys were thorough in making sure your qualified to take the boat out. GPS equipped, but good sense is important.

We have booked inshore fishing with Capt. Dalton 2 years in a row and looking forward to a third. Definitely the highlight of our spring break trips. We always catch enough fish for dinner and have so much fun. He even makes our cranky teenagers smile!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Boats and Fun on North Captiva/Upper Captiva in July 2023. The front desk staff were friendly, informative, and helpful. We rented a paddleboard for the week (to keep at our rent house, which was super nice) and chartered a boat with a captain for a 3-hour scenic cruise and shelling adventure. We saw many dolphins and found zillions of sand dollars and shells. Having a captain who knows the area is hugely valuable when searching for ocean treasure!

Rented a paddleboard for a week and a boat for a day. The paddle board was nice, but the real highlight was boating for the day. We have lake boating experience but going on the Intercoastal Waterway was a first time for us. Staff was very helpful. They gave good activity suggestions and most importantly made sure we were competent out on the water! Highly recommend!

We had the best captain for our water taxi! Sam was awesome! He even managed to wrangle up some dolphins for us on our way in. Andrew did an excellent job showing us the ropes for our boat rental and all of the staff was very friendly and prompt. Best service on the island!

Boats and Fun has the BEST rentals! All of their rentals are in excellent condition, the staff is well trained on how everything works and educates you on how to use the boat or golf carts. They are helpful and friendly. Best rental store on the Island. Would never rent from anywhere else. The owner Mateo is very involved in the store and also on the Island. He is a good man! Next time you are visiting rent from Boats and Fun and stop in the store cause they have great merch too!

As my first time at N. Captiva island, it s definitely not my last!Boats and fun is a quaint little store with the best items for gifts or any need you may have while at the island.The taxi boat service was amazing - they are so attentive and kind and even got some dolphins to play in our wake creating an everlasting memory for us.We rented a boat for a day and the training was well done providing best information and safety precautions. The boat was immaculate and their prices very fair.I highly recommend Boats and Fun.Thank you guys and gals!

We have used Boats and Fun for golf cart rentals and for a private charter. The charter captain was prompt, professional, and friendly. The golf cart was in great condition and we didn't have any problems with it. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We loved all 3 trips with Boats & Fun! The first was a shark fishing trip. While we didn't catch any sharks, we had a blast trying! The second was with Captain Mike. He was so personable and great with our 9 year old. He showed us around and was amazing at getting the dolphins to follow us! We had such a good time that we came back the next day so Captain Mike could take us to Xabbage Key for lunch. That was such a nice trip and great lunch! I highly recommend Boats & Fun and we will be back!

My family & I had a wonderful time boating with Boats and Fun. We found that the private charter was well worth the cost. The captain of the boat was helpful in loading our belongings onto and out of the boat and made our experience very enjoyable! The boats are kept clean, well run and the all the crew members are so kind.

Jake, Andrew and the crew on North Captiva are awesome. Excellent communication and service. This was our first time chartering from this outfit and we booked 4 more charters with them. The boat was perfectly clean, and comfortable. They are one of the few outfits that have 4 strokes so the ride is quiet! The nicest feature was their Garmin chart plotters pre loaded with all the popular routes to take all the anxiety out of shallow water navigation. We highly recommend this outfit.

Our trip to North Captiva was amazing because of the wonderful people at Boats and Fun! Captain Andrew took us to and from our rental. Rachel and Jake (I think- blond hair and often at the front desk) helped us out with kayaks, a golf cart, fishing rods and multiple fish orders. Captain Mike took our family in an unforgettable tour. We saw dphins and they played in the wake of the boat. Our children were thrilled! Thank you Boats and Fun for making our vacation amazing!

We have used Boats and Fun multiple times on our trips to North Captiva. This year, Andrew was our Captain and took us to and from the island. He is a great guy and took the time to tell us about Pine Island Sound and all the things we were seeing on the trip. He avoided the rough waters and helped with our luggage. He made the trip very enjoyable. I highly recommend Boats and Fun and Captain Andrew!!!

Have rented a few carts for the day on North Captiva. The process with smooth and the carts are in good shape and worked perfectly. It is a bit expensive, but then again, you are on an island that is only accessible by boat. Will rent again.

I was charged for a full week s rental and only used the golf cart 4 days. The island has flooded roads and the company knows this and rents golf carts which can be disabled if water gets into the electric system. This happened to us and the company would not provide a replacement or refund.
