My now wife, our families, and myself stayed here and had our wedding at the resort. The atmosphere is most definitely rustic island. The resort has a ton of stuff to do and places to go relax. All of the staff was great, but the event coordinator Cindy made our trip and our big night so stress free. We were able to just sit back and enjoy!

My family and I spent 3 days at Tween Waters and we could not be happier. It all started with the front desk staff. Jason was very friendly and talked us through everything. The rooms were nice and clean and the Oasis pool area was great. The bartenders there are very service-oriented and you can tell just from talking to them. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. We even had a get-together on Tuesday night where we met members of the executive staff of the resort. Michelle, who we met was super nice and genuinely interested in our feedback. Restaurants, shops and overall resort were all great! Will definitely be back!Rooms: Room was very clean and spacious (and I have some really tall kids). AC worked very well and we had a great view of the bay from our little porch we had. Great to sit out there at night and even saw the sunrise in the morning!Food & drinks: Food was great. Restaurants had really delicious food...even at the pool bar! Drinks and lunch selections were top notch!

Location Location LocationI have stayed here multiple times. The sun comes up as you gaze into Roosevelt Channel. Then it sets into the Atlantic side of the island. There are several restaurants on site but they don t have many options for gluten free/pescatarian. (Close walk to Mucky Duck and RC Otters)Super modern laundromat on site.Bicycles on site. Kayaks and excursions on site. There is a deck on the marina where you can watch for shooting stars. There are 2 superstars here. Gorgeous location and the best staff you will ever encounter.Housekeeping was stellar. Olga at the front desk is amazing. (Once while attending a conference near Fort Myers, the Fort Myers site was not satisfactory, I called Olga, she kindly said, Yes, come, we will find a great room for you. She came through! Grounds men are kind and helpful.Just go!

Impressed w/how well hotel has come back from hurricane. Room was clean & well stocked. Having 2 pools & beach access was great. Pool bar & grill is nice touch + Starbucks coffee bar in AM by pool. 3 nice restaurants were good options. We ate at the one that was more casual. Live music was great but maybe a little loud for the size of the room. Food was GREAT. My 9 y/o granddaughter got a personal cheese pizza. Handmade, big, & very good. She ate almost the whole thing. I had Shrimp Tacos & they were great. Would definitely come back again. Maybe closer to summer because the gulf water temp was very cold. The pools were very warm & clean.

Just spent one night at the resort and wish we had planned for more time there. The laid-back island vibe was very much to our liking. The entire staff we encountered was super. The facility is a bit tirry, but given the circumstances of hurricane Ian, they have recovered very nicely. There is no way anyone can complain about the beautiful beach, except for maybe the $25 fee to use a chair and umbrella. Very nice to have the choice of multiple pools and hot tubs.We look forward to our next visit there .Noteworthy details: The marina staff was great.

Unreal location for a destination wedding!!! Photographing weddings at 'Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa is an absolute dream!! The wedding I just photographed the couple stayed at the resort with their family and then did a private vow ceremony out on the beach. It was full of laughter and tears! The location is ideal because the beach is not in anyway crowed. It feels very secluded. Taking photos on the beach is nice because there aren't many others on the beach to work around. The water is very blue and photographs better than some of the other beaches nearby. I couldn't recommend tween waters any higher if you are looking for an intimate destination wedding location!

Beautiful setting, but over-priced, and still in reconstruction mode. Great burgers by the pool, and friendly staff in The Shipyard Restaurant. There is no microwave in the rooms, and not all of the small refrigerators have freezers. Bring your own bottled water, because they don't have filtered water to refill your bottles. Want to sit on the beach, it's going to cost you more to sit in a chair, under an umbrella...

We stayed in March 2023, and they were still cleaning up from the hurricane the previous year. I d come back for sure in the future. I always think it s the people that make the place. Having ocean front property definitely helps, but the people that work at Tween Waters are what makes this place so great. Not just the front line people you run into, everyone there was great. We stayed in the building in on the west side of the complex. Just a normal hotel room really, but we didn t choose Tween Waters to sit around in the room. Fantastic views of the gulf from our room, easy parking, easy access to the entire resort. You have to walk across the two lane blacktop road to access the beach, but it wasn t a problem for us. Pool bar area was great. I ll definitely go back. If it s as good as it was after a hurricane mess, I d love to be there when they aren t dealing with that.Rooms: The room we had was nothing spectacular, but we didn t go here to sit in the room. It was clean, and everything worked.Nearby activities: Beach, kayaking, boating, pool, tennis.Food & drinks: Pool bar was great

We loved our visit to Tween Waters in Captiva. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly and helpful. Always got a smile, how I can help and how are you from folks who work there. Food in the Shipyard was great, ate there many times for breakfast and dinner. Wait staff were great. The woman (forget her name) originally from Jamaica who welcomed us every morning was so nice to us - it made us smile every morning when she was there to welcome us and seat us. Our room was kept extremely clean by the cleaning staff. Pool area was very nice. Used the bikes a couple times and they were nice. We will be back. Thanks so much for a wonderful visit

We have visited this resort in the past on several different times, this was the first since hurricane Ian. The resort is absolutely beautiful but especially at Christmas time. Everyone we came across at the resort was so friendly. My husband and granddaughter enjoyed one of two outdoor pools. The serenity pool was heated so they used that one with permission. Oasis and the Shipyard were great places to eat and very kid friendly. The whole island so happy to have visitors while they continue to rebuild.

Location is beautiful and the service from the pool bar and restaurants is great and we love seeing the staff and tipping well. The booking team seems to lack some of that customer service focus. Be mindful that if you book future stays and need to adjust you are charged a $35 fee regardless of how much advance notice ... even a years worth. When I asked if that is something that could be waived given the 12 months advance notice I was told "we have plenty of people that come and spend money here".

First person you interact with are guys in go-cart and this particular guy was awful rude, so not best first impressionBut front desk lady was very nice and made up for it.Our room was ready early (12:30), very cleanCouple things for them to improve on ..-Mattress ( springs can be felt and vack is sore)toiletries (smells like funeral home flowers) and makes the whole bathroom smell very unpleasant all the time-go-cart staffBut pool area is very nice, easy walk across the street to the beach.Pricey for $600+ night, but good location and very peacefulRooms: Everything was clean, but mattress so uncomfortableBring all your toiletriesWalkability: Beach across the street, they give towels and you can rent chairs for $25 day

Its an ok resort. Management is very weak. I had a concern about my room and wanted a manager to call me. I requested it at the front desk and I received no call. The worst part is I met my family there for my dads 80th. The resort put half my family in a building that had no power. And they knew it! Once they complained they only offered a resort credit! Just terrible customer service and management team.

Invited to Tween Waters for a friend's wedding on February 24, 2024. As I parked my vehicle at Tween Waters I was approached by a Tween Waters employee who asked if I had a parking pass? I told him my friend/his guest had his parking pass that he would not use. The Tween Waters employee told me I need to go to Registration and purchase a $25 parking pass. I walked to my friends table at the pool bar and retrieved his parking pass. On my way to my parked vehicle, the Tween Waters employee walked up to me and told me the pass was not valid and I needed to purchase a pass. Upset, I walked to Registration and purchased a $35 parking pass from a nice lady at the front desk. That's right, a $35 parking pass!!! I walked to my vehicle where I notice someone(?!) like the Tween Waters employee, had spit on my door side, door handle. Not wanting to ruin my friends wedding, I decided not to escalate the issue.I recommended my friend and wife stay at Tween Waters and enjoy their wedding day there! After my parking experience, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY! SPIT ON A DOOR HANDLE...C'MON... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SPEND YOUR MONEY!!!Noteworthy details: Beautiful site, losey employees!

Once again Tweens didn t disappoint. This was a quick weekend trip to finalize wedding details for our daughter s upcoming wedding at Tweens. Once again Marissa in reservations took personal care of us and treated us as family. Just love her! Debra answered our last minute questions regarding the wedding and was so much fun to work with. The property is looking fabulous. We love the new paint colors. The island is coming back so much faster than I ever thought it could!Rooms: Our bayside suite was recently updated and looked great.Food & drinks: The Shipyard and Oasis Pool Bar are always favorites.

it was great in the early check in process and plus very helpfull by the staff handling our rental car battery dying and their attempt to fix the issue ... only recommendation was the presence of ghost ants probably should be addressed , but we know it comes pretty much with the territoryNoteworthy details: great sunset views

Our yacht club made a day trip to tween waters. The person we worked with wasn t working and the resort didn t know that 60+ people were coming. There wasn t enough seating, they only had one bar open. They have two different pools, one is a family pool and the other is an adult pool. We are from a 55 year old plus community, So we opted for the adult pool, called serenity. As we were enjoying our day, the manager came out and told us We had to be quiet. So we all calmed down and just stayed in the pool and stood around and talked. But that wasn t good enough, one person complained that we were still talking, too loudly and management came and told us to leave the pool! For talking! So we went over to the kiddy pool, which is only 10 feet away, and was disgustingly dirty. The water in this pool was so over chlorinated and cloudy to combat 100+ kids, including those in diapers, peeing in the pool. The hot tub was a petri dish of brown disgusting water, being used by mostly children. So if going to a resort, where you can t talk in one pool and swim in kid feces is your thing, then this is your place. We will never be back. So gross.

My husband and I bought a day pass Feb. 29, 2024. It is very rare to find the kindness and professionalism of the staff at Tween Waters. Gerleen (sp?) and Joseph were just wonderful and so helpful. Joseph was a huge help getting our things to the beach. He's a gem. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the Oasis Grill. We did a day pass 2023 as well. A shout out to Jasmine too. Lunch at the Captiva House was outstanding. Can't say enough kind words about this lovely resort. The only downside is the traffic.Walkability: Walking around the grounds and to the beach is very easy.Food & drinks: Food at Captiva House is outstanding.

Tween Waters has been our favorite resort since we purchased our home on Sanibel 8 years ago. We book the cottages for our children and their families every Christmas and enjoy the best breakfast on the Island right there at Old Captiva House. The Old Florida charm makes this property so unique. It is far from the typical hotel chain and each cottage has its own theme.Rooms: See above under noteworthy. We loved the Ding Darling Cottage.Nearby activities: Sanibel, Captiva, the Gulf and the Bay.Safety: Very secure. We felt comfortable leaving the door to the screened in porch open all night so that we could enjoy the sound of the surf. It was wonderful.Food & drinks: We love all three restaurants. Old Captiva House is my favorite because of its cozy atmosphere. That said, the views in the Crow's Nest are spectacular.Noteworthy details: We love the beach front cottages. The dcor is so "Old Florida" with the charming light fixtures and lovely architecture. The privacy is wonderful and the staff are all excellent from front desk staff to the maid service to the wait staff in the restaurants. We love everything about Tween Waters!

Enjoyed our first stay here. Easy access to beach and bay. Good food close to rooms. Staff friendly. Very clean and easy access. Didn t like having to pay $25 a day for chairs and umbrella and then they take them down way before sunset. Bummer. Maybe they are short staffed, it s hard these days getting enough staff and lord knows the islands have been thru a lot of recovery efforts.
