On very short notice (and out of town) my driver calls me with the news that my box truck (2014 Ford E350) has Transmission issues. Frantically I call around to find a shop that can take it in fairly quick. Upon 1st contact with Lou I told him which Transmission was in it and codes pulled. He repeated which Transmission it was and said this was a heavy duty Transmission. Over the phone he quoted me between 2700 to 3500. When I got back into town he calls me and tells me that repair is 4800 plus a set of tires for his personal truck. ( I'm an independent onsite tire installation service) a couple of days later we drops it down to 3900 plus a set of tires. I tell him No. He calls me back and we settle on 3900. (Having to Zelle him $$) so he can start the job. A week later I get the truck back. Now Revere takes a bit to engage then a large clunk. Initial forward gear clunks like something is loose also overdrive is sluggish and has a hard time getting into gear. Now all I get is "drive it , it will get better" I'm not really comfortable using the truck and it is my main work vehicle. 3900 later my truck feels unsafe and I find out that all I get is a 6 month warranty. No signed work order no Completed Invoice.Service: Transmission

As an auto repair shop shop I have sent 3 transmissions to this place. 3 out of 3 have had problems. 1 he got repaired. The last one he is not responding to the customer at all. He has completely dodged him and left him with a transmission that won't shift to 4 the gear. He made promises to fix it and has failed to. Now he is dodging the customer and myself, the shop who unfortunately sent the work to him.

Absolutely terrible service!!! Do not go here unless you have another vehicle or another way of transportation. My boyfriend gave this man his truck LAST YEAR for a couple weeks to fix the transmission. He has had my boyfriends truck now FOR MONTHS. We ve been having to share my car and rack up miles. I m beyond mad, when you try to contact him he doesn t even answer. You have to call from an unknown number for him to even answer his phone as he will ignore your calls. We still don t even had my boyfriends truck back, and he is avoiding when it will be done. We were told July 28,2022. It s now almost September. This is disgusting.Service: Transmission

SCAM ALERT.. Unlicensed business. this shop shown is not the same as the address listed that I went to. Lou rebuilt my transmission on January 2021 in April my flywheel came loose had to pay to tow and get that repaired. May I wasn't able to shift into park had to fix that. Contacted lou in May as it was slipping out he had covid. Contacted June he had no space Contacted August he test drove it and told me it was normal breaking in. Contacted him Oct he said he wanted to change a part but didn't have the space to hold on. Contacted him November he scanned my truck and claimed I had 14 codes and that was a lie as per Chevy dealership. In December of 2021 I Contacted him as my truck wouldn't go over 30mph he came to my house and said it was my computer and he would take care of it as it was still under warranty. I took her to Chevy for a second opinion and he lied the transmission was toast my computer was fine. So less then a year less then 7,000 miles I had to pay to replace my transmission as Chevy claimed that due to the color painted and the aftermarket drain pan on my truck that this may not have been my original transmission. So a replace was my only option. The rebuild was horrible he didn't even use new seals. You have been warned. He claimed he would contact me to remedy this issue but never heard from him again. I have been bringing my vehicle to Lou for the past 4 years. I first met him when my battery died in a parking lot on a very rainy and stormy day. He appeared out of no where and saved the day!! Over the years, he has changed the battery, changed the oil, replaced the brakes and rotors and he has also let me know about my tires being bad. He is extremely honest and trustworthy. I have been scammed by other automotive shops trying to sell me things I did not need, but Lou has never done this. He is very professional and extremely honest. I would highly recommend his business. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Took my Toyota in to Firestone to get a new clutch, what a mistake they kept for over a week with no results. I called Nick's repair shop the gentleman said bring it in and we will get done immediately which they did. Cant say thanks enough, highly recommend

My pick-up was in some serious trouble, and I didn't know of any reputable tranny shops in town. I got really lucky and found "Nick's Complete" on the web. The owner, Lou, took wonderful care of not only my truck, but me too! In his ad, it doesn't tell you that Lou used to be a Ford mechanic, so he immediately knew what was up with my transmission. Lou showed me the bad parts, quoted me an extremely fair price, and my truck was good as "new" in under three days. I highly recommend "Nick's" and will definitely be going back when my truck needs a good mechanic.

I couldn't be happier to have found Lou at Nick's Transmissions and Complete Auto Repair!! So thankful to have such an honest and hardworking mechanic whom I can truly trust! My son recently bought a used car that ended up having some major problems right off the bat. My son was frustrated, stressed and thought he had bought a lemon and had thrown his money out the window. That's when I found Lou from Nick's Transmissions. He stepped in, found the problem and fixed it basically in one day. He tracked down the parts my son's car needed, and went above and beyond.... (he saw that the window was screwed up so he found the parts needed for that too!) and got the repair done so quickly I couldn't believe it. We thought we had a major problem with the transmission. Lou found that it was actually a minor problem with the transmission and successfully fixed it for us very inexpensively. Lou exceeded my expectations, went far above and beyond anything I've seen before in a car repair shop. Honest, fair, great communication, super capable, hard working and so kind on top of it all! We are so thankful for everything and we will be back for anything needed in the future, as we have found the best! We were one step away from calling it quits on this car, but it's working great now! Thanks again so much Lou! Just wonderful!!!

This place is NOT what is shown in the photos on the Google page. The mechanic has moved to a rented space in a seedy alley way behind Direct Tires in Industrial Park here in Cape Coral.The mechanic's name is Lou. At first, I read the reviews on here and thought Lou would be a great alternative to my current mechanic. I was wrong.In early April 2018, my 1999 Ford Explorer began suffering transmission problems. The overdrive would kick in when doing speeds over 40mph. My mechanic recommended a rebuilt transmission and wanted $1500 for the job. I honestly did not have $1500. I had the truck transmission read and it indicated a torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid. The part costs about $50. I called Lou, and Lou agreed to tackle the job for $400, CASH ONLY. Alright, it sounded fishy but I was desperate.I picked up my truck, paid $400 cash, and noticed the plastic trim surrounding my windows were all but chipped completely off or destroyed. I chose not to say anything. I got 100 feet from where I picked my truck up from (the seedy alley way where Lou conducts business) and my overdrive light begins to flash yet again. I pulled over, called Lou, and he told me he noticed that my torque converter was bad when he opened up my transmission. HELLO? Do you think you could have told me BEFORE you closed up my transmission that I needed a new torque converter??? I would have gladly paid to have a new one put in since you already had the transmission opened up. NOPE. Lou tells me AFTER the fact. Now, he tells me I need a rebuilt transmission job and he quotes me for $1200----feeling guilty about what happened to me.I feel that Lou cheated me out of my hard-earned $400 as NOTHING was done to fix the truck. I can't even file a grievance given that I was forced to pay cash for the transaction.Lesson learned: Don't go to an establishment where there is no paper trail whatsoever and don't go to an establishment that is pretending to be one, working out of a rented storage unit in the seedy part of town. Thanks for screwing me, Lou. I hope you close up shop for being either stupid or downright deceitful.

Lou Dose not keep his word on anything ! he is way over priced he's had my truck 2 different times. First time got it back way worse then what it was and now 12 days later I still don't have my truck back and he's barley responding to my messages every three days or so he's not a man of his word and I hope no one else has to deal with him.

I had a 68 rfe trans built for $4800 and only lasted 500 miles. When I tried to contact him down the road, but no response for 6 months. He is a good person but not the best builder. It's hard to forget all the scratches left in my vehicle after he moved it with a forklift.
