Worst communication and zero help. Just wanted to simply install an intake on my car. I called ahead and Ray said no apt. was needed. I said I would be there in about an hour or 2. After driving 30 mins to go there and be very lost I finally found the office and they said he wasn t there. The lady took me to the mechanic that could do it and he said bring the car around, I did and waited 15 mins just for nobody to show up or help me I go back in the office asking the lady if anybody is gonna help me or what time would it be. She basically didn t know what to do or anything and then on top of that the mechanic barely even said anything initially, there was no communication at all. Legitimately bad experience.EDIT/UPDATE: No ray, I actually never told her let me think about it . I said I m gonna go outside really quick because I was tired of waiting in the office for 20 mins listening to her talk about how you re never on time for anything. So I simply left. If you can t take criticism and call this Bad mouthing and are getting mad at others for reviewing their bad experience, then I suggest you maybe work on the problems to be better or get a different job. I first met Jen and Ray when our suspension on our trailer failed. Affordable Auto also has a tow truck service. They got the boat and trailer loaded up and the plan was to take it home and figure it out. Jen called me on the way home and said they could fix the trailer at affordable auto so I was like ok great. They got it fixed in a few days, upgraded from leaf springs to a torsion axle so no more problems. A few days later the motor started acting up. Just up the road from me is sweet water marina, a certified mercury service. They fixed it and it ran great for a week then would not throttle up. Tried to take it back but they were booked for 6 weeks so took it to fort Meyers marine on Fowler, another certified mercury service. They spat it out in a day good to go they said. It ran great for two weeks, had to get sea towed in. Worst off is the that on the way home a bearing exploded on the trailer. I texted Jen about the bearing and she sent a guy in the rain to fix it. I shared with her about the motor situation and she said she had a good boat mechanic. I was like ok they are not a certified Mercury service and has the word auto in their name but what the heck let do this. After they got the bearing fixed they took it to their shop. Jen texted me that the problem was that spark plugs were wrong (thanks sweet water) and they they were fouling up (thanks fort myers marine for just cleaning the plugs). Good to go with correct plugs. Picks the boat up and have taken it out 6 times since and runs like a beast. Look, Jen could have told me the modular coil bearing injector doohickey was bad and I would it know but they identified the spark plugs. That right there is pure and simply honest morality. If anything ever happens to my autos I would not think of going anywhere else.

Affordable Auto Performance was awesome, my first time visiting this very professional automotive mechanic shop. Before today I have brought my 2014 Hyundai Sonata SE 2.4L to 3 different other shops, one of those shops was the dealership and they could not figure out why there was white smoke coming from the engine! The dealership told me to drive my vehicle till a check engine light came on after I paid $200 for Hyundai to find the issue! But one phone call to Affordable Auto Performance they were able to get my Hyundai Sonata in right away and immediately diagnosed the issue. Fixed my car in a timely fashion. I was expecting a very high bill for the job they had performed on my vehicle, turned out they are very affordable "Hints their name" I recommend anyone that has an issue with their car other shops can't figure out or charge too much to call Jen & Ray over at Affordable Auto Performance. Whether you need a major fix or a simple oil change I recommend this company! I've found my new auto mechanic shop for life. I can't say enough about these guys and gals's just bring your vehicle in and experience it for yourself!

Wish there was a place for 0 stars. Called as a woman trying to fix her own issues and was ridiculed about not knowing how a vehicle works. I bought a part from a parts store and was made to feel stupid because they are not mechanics. So unprofessional. I

I had as smooth a process you could ask for! They were quick with the diagnostic, ordered the part and got it in a day! Everything was told up front so no surprises at all. But mostly, in this crazy time we live in, they got me in and finished in 2.5 days! Just incredible since I did check many other places and it was a week+ just to see the vehicle. Great job guys and gals!! Thank you.

The BEST customer service! They took me in at the last minute and got the job done so quickly and gave me a great price. Even lowered an already great price. I even stayed to have a new radiator put in same day. These people are so nice. After putting up with a dishonest mechanic ( Randy's auto repair in Ft. Myers San carlos, stay away) for the last month and a half who took every dime i had, it's great to deal with honest caring people! I definitely recommend them. Jennifer is so helpful! Thank you to everyone there!

I had new engine put in my 2005 Lincoln Navigator. I regret it took so long to make my review. The total cost was just shyOf $10,000. That was completed on November 1st ,2019. These guys helped me figure out what was the best way to fix my truck and did the best job. I have had no issues with the truck after picking it up from them. I would recommend them to anyone. Actually bringing them our other car to enhance the performance. Thanks guys!!Service: Engine repair

These people went out of their way to get us back on the road when our car (still under warranty) broke down. They managed to source the part and get us back on the road the next day.... the car dealership where we bought it told us they couldn't even look at it for 2 weeks. We were very pleased with the service and price.

Do not recommend!! I dropped my car off at the beginning of the week and was called a few days later and told it was ready for pickup. I didn t feel like getting out late that evening so waited until the next day and when I arrived my car was not at the shop. The owner said his guy had taken it to fort myers to pick up his daughter. After waiting almost an hour I finally called and reported the car stolen. Very unprofessional! My car was ready for pickup and an employee used it to go do personal business. The officers agreed it was unprofessional and ethically wrong and recommended reporting them to the better business bureau.

Absolutely wonderful auto body shop. I had a situation with Tire Kingdom where they messed up my car and refused to accept responsibility. Ray and Jenn went out of there way to do everything they can to help me. They got my car towed from the shop and tried to help me fight Tire Kingdoms insurance company. They got my car fixed and back running in perfect condition.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Jennifer and Rey are awesome! I have taken two of my cars to them and both times Rey/Jenn has identified what s wrong with them in five minutes or less! They will take care you and not BS you like these big box stores do to get your money! Jenn and Rey are very professional, will walk you through every detail and are always on time ( when they say it ll be done by a certain day, they ll get it done!). I will not nor will my friends or family go anywhere else to get work done! Thank you for everything you guys do!!!Services: Wheel alignment, A/C installation & repair

Very knowledgeable. Ive dealt with them for a variety of general maintenance or repair issues, and have never been disappointed. They always explain my options given the circumstances, then follow up with a high quality job. Highly recommend checking them out, especially if you re new to the area and looking for your new go to mechanic. Excellent customer service, dropped my car off and had it back in 3 days, each day receiving an update on how everything was going. I let them do the relearn process for my bmw transmission and now it shifts as smooth as butter! I highly recommend them, will definitely be returning if I need any more work done!

The owner Rae took care of me very honest and affordable unlike allot of big name shops. This place was ABSOLUTELY Amazing! I was in a time crunch and never had been to this location before they went ABOVE and BEYOND!!! Not only did they get my car fixed before expected, the professionalism was off the chart.If I wasn't moving out of the area, this would be my go to shop! I must say that i have been to a few shops and I have never had such great service, the guys there really know what they are doing and are very HONEST!!! It's very rare to see that in auto shops these days unfortunately, but the prices are by far very reasonable and they are Excellent at customer service, very easy to get ahold of and the quality of work is by far better than any shop I personally have been to. And they are very quick with getting you back on the road, Rae has personally gone above and beyond for me like I have known him for years even tho it's only been a few months, I highly recommend AAP to anyone searching for a GREAT mechanic, I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Had an excellent experience, traveled from Georgia to get my car pampered at Affordable Auto Performance. All was well in the capable hands of Rae. I have a MazdaSpeed3 and I had struts replaced, Intercooler, fuel pump upgraded and exhaust installed.

This is the worst shop ever I brought them a engine on October 2nd and now it is October 24th and they just got the motor in and running they had told me that I had bought the wrong motor but that's not what the case was the case was that I bought a motor that was not built in the United States now the vehicle I used was a Subaru anybody in the automotive Community knows that the Subaru is a very unique car because it's like Legos you can take parts from any other Subaru and put it on any other Subaru a lot of the parts are extremely Universal here's what bothers me about this shop on Google they claim to be a Subaru Certified mechanic shop so therefore they know their way around Subarus but by their unethical practices as mechanics it is clear that they are not Subaru certified mechanics it took them 3 weeks to do a job that takes 3 days I would have done the job myself but unfortunately I am lacking the tools and engine lift and a car lift. Ray who is the owner of the shop is a disgrace as a manager and as a store owner he's very disorganized and very unprofessional I had visited the shop in this three-week span waiting for my car and when I had arrived he had his two technicians working on four cars at once one of those being mine I'm very scared if my car was even done correct. He left a voicemail when he took a vacation and in the voicemail he said the shop is closed for the week because the office has decided that it is in deserving of a vacation what kind of man who wants to seem professional to the rest of the world sets up a voicemail like this. This is the worst mechanic I have ever got to deal with and I hope everybody here on the Google Community never has to deal with him ever again if you ever have to deal with this man again because there is nobody else asked to speak to Jose because Jose seems to be the only one who has some kind of level of professionalism within him. I applaud the mechanic who worked on my car Paul he's a really nice guy and it's just sad what Ray is doing to him he doesn't deserve it. They made several attempts to tell me it would take a week to fix my car and it took 3 weeks buyer beware

The only repair shop I'll use from now on! Found them through my CarMax warranty and they've helped me out big time on some major repairs. They do the job quickly and have been very reliable!

After calling many shops regarding a clutch (rebuild/replacement) for my GT500, I come upon AAP. Ray was very helpful answering my questions and had great understanding of the performance of GT500s. AAP took out my old clutch (had manufacture rebuild) and reinstalled. AAP also installed MGW short throw shifter and slave cylinder. The car is shifting like a dream. I recommend AAP and personally will be a repeat customer.

If you want high quality work for a very reasonable price then take your car to them .Dont waste time with other mechanics that dont know what they're doing.Trust me ,you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this auto repair shopRafael C.
