I was in hard situation with 1200 mile trip pulling a 12k car trailer. I had no time to spare and I have previously taken my 2015 F250 6.7 diesel to another shop in town to do oil, fuel filter change, and fix what I thought a simple oil leak. I was told by the "other shop" that the leak was not from the oil pan, but rather from the front and rear engine seals. They estimated the job close to 5k dollars I was told that I "should not drive the truck for 100 miles" without fixing the leak. I call Grumpy's and spoke with Brian. He was very helpful, he understood my situation and he fit me in his schedule. The actual leak was from the vacuum pump. He was able to fix it. No other sites of leaks were identified. I also asked him to check that the fuel filter has been properly change by the "other shop". It turn out, it was never changed, the particle filter was dirty. So, after we discussed, he change the fuel filter. I just came back from my trip and I had no issues at all. No oil leaks, no fuel issues.I am very contempt with the service Grumpy's provided. It shows that they do care for their customers. I have found the shop for my diesel needs.Thank you Brian and staff for your support and honest work.

Best place to bring you diesel truck! I have the infamous 6.0 but after getting work done by other shops they left it in worse shape than before I had it worked on. Grumpy's fixed it perfectly. It runs better than ever and will absolutely recommend them to anybody. Price was very fair as well!

Highly recommend Grumpy's Diesel Service! The fuel system in my 2019 F250 Platinum became contaminated and needed to be replaced. My truck was originally taken to a locally owned dealership. The dealership quoted me an astronomical price! I was dumbfounded. My brother said You should have had it towed to Grumpy s. So He had my truck towed to Grumpy s and I m so glad he did!Grumpy s saved me money, they were easy to deal with and Miss Holly was so great working with my brother to get my truck fixed. We have a fleet of diesel trucks. Grumpy s will be the only vendor allowed to work on our fleet. My Utmost Gratitude,James Martin Jr.President,Gulfside Landscaping Inc.

Let s talk about integrity and professionalism. These are two things that are almost nonexistent in todays world. The good news is, there s still a place that it can be found, and that s with these fine folks. No need to look anywhere else.

Top shop! I was stranded on the road, making my way across the panhandle to Texas. They identified, accurately, major problems with my F350 diesel. I had to decline the major repair because I couldn't stay in the area for it. They got me back on the road by accomplishing a number of minor repairs for a fair price. They took good care of me and the truck, giving me good advice on how to proceed on the road and at my destination.

My husband dropped his truck off to have his transmission worked on right before we left town for Christmas leave. He informed the woman at the front desk that the issues he was having were with his transmission. While we were out of town we got a call saying that they had run the diagnostic for the truck and then proceeded to tell us that they do not work on transmissions. They also charged us $130 for the diagnosis. We wouldn t have even left the truck with them if they had told us they did not work on transmissions. Not only did we not get the truck fixed but now we are out $130. We called them to kindly ask for our money back since it was a little sneaky that they knew our issues were with the transmission and withheld that they do not work on transmissions until after they had run diagnostics on the truck. The woman we spoke with, Holly told us that we could not get our money back because technically they did work on the truck by running diagnostics on it. Really?!? We would not have left the truck with them if we had known that! I just feel like we were taken advantage of and I m really disappointed that they were not honest and upfront. If they had been we might have done business with them in the future. Now they not only lost our business but also all of our friends. In response to your comment:My husband has grown up working on vehicles. He knew that the issue was transmission related due to the fact that when the vehicle was put in drive the transmission would not engage. He would have fixed this himself but since we are in the military we do not have the tools to fix the issue ourselves. He specifically told the woman at the front desk that the issues he was having were with the truck s transmission. It s not that we lost $130 dollars it s the principle of the matter. If you had disclosed in the beginning that you all did not do transmission work we would have gone somewhere else to have the truck worked on. There wouldn t have been a review written and if anything we would have really appreciated your honesty. We have since taken the truck elsewhere to get worked on and the issue was with the transmission. Your lack of honesty is why we will not be back and why we will let others know not to do business with you.

I checked around and Grumpy's has s very good reputation and I can see why. They took time to discuss my truck's issues, gave me time to think, I ultimately did not have the work done, my truck was not worth the money however, I'd have no hesitation to have my truck fixed here. They are busy as all good shops are, understand that up front.

This place is awesome. Master cylinder went out on truck 3500 Dodge Ram diesel and leaking brake fluid from hose. This happened right before the Thanksgiving holiday 2020. The turn around time was perfect had truck back to us before the holiday. If ever any other problems and we're in the area we will be a returning customer. The diagnostic was on point. Though another shop lied to us before contacting Grumpy's.Grumpy found the problem immediately. Employees are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Grumpy s diesel shop is the BEST in Pensacola! We ve used them several times now and each time have been completely happy with their work. My husband and I are getting ready to take our truck on some long hauls with camper and just wouldn t even consider not getting them to check everything over for us. Repairs are always done in a timely manner even if you tell them your not in hurry. Owners and employees have the utmost integrity and professionalism. You will not regret doing business with them. We wouldn t even consider using anyone else to work on our truck!

WARNING!!!First time I brought in 97-F250 with the 7.3 for a engine leak they did not fix it and still leaking oil. $400 plusSecond time to look at ABS problem, disgnostic cost $150.00 with very poor feedback. "Something is wrong with the internal ABS".Asked for a part number, if they could find a part, if they know the part number or any information. They told me they were too incompetent to do the work or find the problem. They also said the back hub was leaking, that was the only thing they could fix on it. I brought it to another shop, who said it was ok and not leaking.Over price and incompetent at their jobServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Great technicians, customer support, and overall business. Unlike World Ford (A FORD DEALERSHIP for crying out loud), Grumpy's was able to quickly and decisively able to diagnose, disassemble, procure parts, install said parts, and reassemble my F450 in no time at all. I waited on World Ford's "certified expert diesel technicians" to swap out my 6.4 last year. It took them over 3 months and they ended up reinstalling it incorrectly, with incorrect parts and many corners cut.Grumpy's was upfront, honest, personable, and respectful. A diesel engine problem is never fun, but these guys (and Holly!) certainly made it as seamless as possible. I can't thank you all enough.

Bought a truck that was already broken down that had the coolers bust and blow the head gaskets on the truck. I bought it knowing I was going to have the wrecker drop it off there. John told me what was wrong with it after tearing down and inspecting. I told him to fix everything that s wrong with it I only wanted to do this once and they did. I had head gaskets done, new egr coolers, and new oil coolers truck runs great. I felt like the prices were very fair and I m sure someone else would of fixed it cheaper but like I said I only wanted to do it once. These guys know diesels better than anybody, take it to them and fix it right the first time and you will be much happier.

I came in to have a tune up and upgraded Bullet proof parts installed in my 6.0L 2006 F-250 it was getting sluggish, making funny noise and puffing out smoky exhaust. John thoroughly inspected the truck and had completely shown me all the worn out or damaged parts and pieces and had made recommendations with Bullet Proof upgraded parts. He had written up a complete estimate with no hidden charges.During the upgrade and repair John and Holley where both very informative on the project they had both told and shown me there where other hidden problems in the motor that needed to be repaired that wasn't on the original estimate They had also laid out multiple options for me so I can plan my budget. In the end I decided to go all Bullet Proof products and completely replace every worn out part. John was even nice to cut out some of the work hours off the project. This upgrade project on my truck was no small undertaking there was ALOT of work. It took approximately 4 weeks. Now my 2006 F-250 6.0L is a power house it drives better than new with the Bullet Proof up grade parts . My truck is easily going to 500,000+ miles. I am a very happy costumer.Thank You Grumpy's

Told me that my oil cooler was leaking and that it's urgent to have this repaired because there's oil in my coolant. I didn't ask them to look at my oil cooler, I asked them to look at the leak coming from the water pump. Still charged $150 for 'taking a look at it'. There are specks of oil floating, but I told them they had been there for years and are not an indication of an oil cooler leak. Not the first time they have misdiagnosed something. Their reputation precedes them.Update in response to the comment: I brought the truck in to give them the opportunity o do the right thing and fix the leak at the hose that connects to the water cooler they recently replaced. Instead they went looking for other issues and what they found was residual oil from when they last worked on my oil cooler and didn't do a proper clean or flush of the coolant system.

I own a car dealership and agreed to have a pre-sale inspection done at Grumpy s on a diesel truck I am selling. The potential buyer already test drove the truck and was in love with it but wanted an inspection done just for peace of mind about the mechanical condition of it. After the inspection the potential buyer informed me that before I even showed up with the truck the tech handling the inspection told him that he didn t like the engines that are in these trucks and advised him against purchasing it. Last time I checked, their job was to inspect the truck and advise on its current mechanical condition, not provide a biased opinion to sway someone from purchasing. I would advise anyone selling a vehicle and needing a pre-sale inspection performed to stay away from these guys.

In town from Colorado. My truck started running sluggishly. The guys at Grumpy's got my truck repaired VERY quickly and for half the cost I expected to pay. They're my new go-to diesel mechanics when I'm in town.

Over the weekend we had an issue cranking our F350. Our son contacted Rick, owner of Grumpy Diesel. We were afraid we were going to have to replace our starter at $1,000. Rick walked my son through some trouble shooting points which did eleminate the starter. We thought we had it narrowed down to an issue with the steering column. Rick had us bring it in for him to check out which we did that Monday morning. Tuesday they called for us to come pick up our truck. Turned out to be a issue in our fuse box. Although this isn't the type of repairs they normally do Rick was awesome to take time out of his busy day to locate and fix the problem. I am so grateful he did and will take my truck to them from now on. Thank you Rick and your staff was very pleasant to work with

I really appreciate the service we received from Grumpy's. I had work performed at probably 10 shops around the country and none of them even come close to Grumpy's. Thanks for the quick diagnosis, expedited service and getting our truck back on the road!

My truck has been in their shop 2 weeks, i use it for work, i took it in for a wrench light and a oil leak, well they replaced the water pump because of rust, flushed my cooling system, replaced my after market air breather because the mechanic didn't like k&n so he charged me for a motorcraft used breatherPut s motorcraft coolant cap , replaced the oil cooler which was done last year, added a aftermarket oil cooler half kit so now i have 1 and a 1/2 oil cooler, it was a 12 hour job by the book and if you know anything about book hours, they can usually do it faster and make more money, i gave the ok to do the work but 2 weeks later, I've called twice for up dates 3 days ago they ssid it was going back together yes 3 days ago, never herd anything except at the beginning about the estimate changing going up to $5100.as of today 13 days later i got a call and they are cleaning it so it will be another 2 days so if your looking for a 12 hour job to be taken care of not here it will be 360 hours if they dont find something else to do, well another 2 days and now my front sway bar i got a estimate from Cassidy in milton for 365 Grumpys wants over a thousand wth, this guy will never take my truck to this place again.well im here to eat my words yes its very expensive yes it took forever but it seems so far to be spot on!
