I, like many, have a 7 day 12+hr work week, and when things need attention it's hard to get them accomplished. Of course I waited entirely too long to get work done on my little commuter car, and needed a brake job done ASAP. I called up, and they were able to get my car in and out within an extremely short amount of time. The cost was beyond fair and reasonable! Nothing but the best things to say, and the even greater part is, I now have a place that I know does fantastic work, at a great price, and is local! No more chain auto repair visits from this guy!

After 2 yrs of searching for a mechanic. Getting parts back in a million peices months later, shady mechanics, driving my car into a shop and almost needing a tow truck to get it out with a "we can fix it for $1800" after just needing a carb dialed in. I finally found matts auto, these guys found the problem (simple fix), took time to show me whats wrong and did amazing work fixing it. Its hard finding someone trustworthy to work on your classic, expecially when its your daily driver. Now they are the only ones I trust with my 1970. They're straight up, honest, do quality work and have great prices. 100% reccomend themService: Carburetor cleaning

I wanted to change my original 5 star review but couldn't figure out if it was possible. This is a follow-up on what I found out when I returned home:My local mechanic (of over 15 years) called Matt to get the old pump he said he replaced and was told he didn't replace a pump, he had re-installed the old one.Asked, 'what wires were wrong'; was told ' I didn't rewire any wires'Asked, 'you charged over $500 to just replace a relay'Was told 'I don't have time to talk to you'.My mechanic had called him because is willing to refund all my cost if Matt will just return the old pump. I'll have it picked up and shipped back to me.Originally, I was highly impressed when Matt told me what he fixed, but he denied it all to my local mechanic. I'm still looking for a way to change or delete my original review. And by the way, my fuel gauge is still reading too high. ( so both mechanics missed that).Before he started working on it, I had originally told Chris and Matt I believed I had run out of fuel but he said there was fuel in the tank. And just to be sure, Friday morning I put in about 4 gallons and tried to start it, battery was low and being a diesel, it's not simply a matter of putting in fuel and starting it back up, I guess.As I said in my original post, I'll never know if I got taken by Matt, being from out of town. But my family who lives in Palm Coast and Hastings will know... and you, reading this follow-up review will also know.I really hate this reviewing kind of stuff, but it was the other positive reviews that caused me to choose Matt's in the first place. Think long before using his service even if you're local.

Found Matt s by accident while trying to buy a truck in the area. We needed someone to check it out before purchasing and had called around town to different mechanics. We needed it ASAP and we were lucky that Matt fit us in. Matt and Chris checked it out and found a list of problems that would ve ended up costing double the price of the truck. They were very honest and didn t want to take our money for the inspection. They are trustworthy and the real deal and couldn t have been nicer. Thank you Matt and Chris!

If you're looking for honest mechanic than this is the place. Both times I've brought my car in to Matt's Auto their mechanics have always been very clear and forward with me about what's wrong with my car. They've compromised and haven't pushed to up sell anything to me. They do offer suggestions, but only when I've asked. They're fair in their pricing as well. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

I live in Temple, GA and was traveling to visit my family in Palm Coast, Fl. It was Christmas Eve day when my Dodge 2500 just died (one day after my long time mechanic installed a new fuel lift pump). Or so my $797 bill said.My son checked in the area for me and found Matt's listed as Chrysler certified (with good Google reviews) and called Matt and was told he was 'slammed' but if I wanted to bring it in he would get to it as soon as he could. So on Saturday, he looked at it and said something was wrong with the fuel pump voltage. Later found it was rewired and was causing low voltage to the 'new' pump.Long story short, Matt and Chris fixed the wiring problem on Monday and when I picked it up, it started great and went all the way home without a hiccup.Did I get a good price from Matt? I'll never know. Did I get good service? No, it was Excellent...

I needed my van's AC checked and I asked a friend if he knew a reliable shop, he recommended Matt's Auto Shop, said this was an honest and straight up shop and he was 100 percent right. Excellent professional and courteous people and great price's. I recommend this shop for your auto repairs.

As an owner of an older vehicle, repairs are a necessity. Fortunately, Matt's Auto has always offered excellent service and fair prices. Every repair has been done in a timely manner and he stands by his service. Thank you!

I have an older model vehicle that I brought in for an Oil Change and a noisy power steering. They were extremely helpful and got me on my way as quickly as possible. I need some additional work done and will be taking my business to Matt's from here on out.Thank you!

Matt's Auto was a pleasant surprise. After a long weekend thousands of miles away from home with car troubles, Matt and his crew got my Jeep up and running as quickly as possible. Very pleased and would recommend Matt's Auto to anybody!

Matt's Auto has worked on all of our vehicles new and old. Just recently Chevy Silverado was leaking power steering fluid and Matt's was able to diagnose the problem and replace the cv boot for reasonable price...all within the same day! They are efficient and friendly!

We have brought two vehicles for repair. A Dodge Caliber and a BMW 550i. I can say that every time the service is efficient, quick, and affordable. For a family with one vehicle this is essential. They have made us customers for life.

The price he quoted for the repair was not the same as the bill, this happened twice on the same bill. Also did work that I was not told about before hand and billed for. You better get a written quote before he does any work. He also takes his time doing the work.

Had a tail light crimped wire that was difficult to find. They really searched to find it all in a timely manner. They are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Great shop.
