I wanted to take a second to give a shout out to one of my local, family owned automotive shops. St. Joseph's Automotive, is located in the greater Tampa Bay Area (specifically Brandon/Valrico).They re about 10 minutes off I-75, Brandon exit. They are honest, quick to serve and problem solve, and give you experienced feedback on things you need to take care of to ensure your vehicle runs like it did off the showroom floor. Joe, Brian and the entire team will make sure you re taken care of, and in a timely manner. They re a small shop, so I recommend making an appointment ahead of time to accommodate schedules. They re a 10/10 for me, and that s speaks a lot considering I have a genuine hard time handing my keys over to most shops.Pictured below, my 2018 Accord 2.0T, which is *barely* clearing the Honda High Mileage Club requirements at 104,xxx miles!

My first visit here was for my radiator. They changed it out and everything was wonderful! Then my starter went out several days later and Brian said to have it towed in right away and he would check it out for me. They are all so helpful and pleasant. I'm definitely keeping them for my mechanical needs! They look after us women and make sure things are working properly. Brian is very informed regarding cars and so is his technicians.

From start to finish the experience was great. Clean waiting area, Brian the service writer is friendly, knowledgeable, and explains everything clearly. He's focused on the customer and resolving the problem. I never felt pressured and the pricing has always been reasonable. I've used them with three different cars over four years. While I know cars and repairs, I have recommended them to friends and family members. I even had a van that instead of trying to spend big dollars to fix, they said honestly it was time to let it go and helped me junk it without any cost from them. If your nervous about car repair shops, St Joseph's is one you can feel comfortable with.

This place is excellent. I was having issues with my car s power steering damper. I took my car to Toyota and they told me I had to buy a whole new steering column when I knew it was a simple fix. Brian was very helpful and honest. I paid around 270 and waited 2 hours. If I went to toyota who knows how long that would ve taken and how costly that would ve been. Honesty goes a long way. I ll continue to take my cars here.

Thoughtful, quick, and knowledgeable. Had an issue with my BMW and they were quick to determine the problem. I was even permitted to safely see what was going on. They helped me out, explaining what I had, and ran through options with me. Brian and his crew = great folk.

I cannot speak highly enough about Brian, Thomas, and the staff at St Joseph s Automotive. I really did not know what to expect since it was my first time visiting this establishment. As soon as I walked in and started talking with Brian, I knew immediately I had made the right decision in bringing my car there. Brian, your wealth of knowledge and outstanding customer service are truly remarkable. Thank you for addressing my concerns and putting my mind at ease. Upon completion of the inspection, there were two parts needed to repair the vehicle. These parts were not cheap. The parts arrived and Thomas had the vehicle up and running in no time. What can I say about Thomas, you are simply impressive! I appreciate your unique skills and abilities in taking care of my twenty-year-old BMW! Brian informed me that I only needed one of the parts. I was astonished and profoundly grateful. They could have charged me for the part anyway, I would never have known it. I was utterly amazed! Thank you for your honesty! It has been a pleasure doing business with St Joseph s Automotive. You do not have to rely on my experience, create your own by entrusting them with your vehicle. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend St Joseph s Automotive for your automotive needs..

Joe and his staff always take great care of their customers and true to form my most recent experience at St. Joseph s was excellent. Joe and his great team of technicians got me in and out and at a great price. This hidden gem of a shop continues to provide the most honest and trustworthy experience in the Tampa area. On this occasion they performed an oil change/tire rotation, transmission and brake services. Let me say the service manager Brian is amazing! He went out of his work with my after market warranty provider to get my $3000+ repair covered under the warranty with me only paying my deductible. If this was a dealership repair, they would just said " it's not covered under warranty " . He walked me through every step he took with warranty company, very patient , knowledgeable and I can't say enough about him and the shop. I will be back !Thank you Brian!

This is my first time at St. Josephs Automotive and it was due to my AC not cooling. I had a walk-in and the mechanic within an hour found out that the Freon gas was leaking through the condenser. He even walked me inside, so I can see where the leak was happening. I got a reasonable quote on parts and labor. Now my AC is cooling perfectly. This shop is an honest, dependable automotive repair shop.

Broke down on the side of 75 at 530 am. Not only did Joe answer the phone before business hours, he lined us up a tow truck. When that one was hours away. He lined us up another. He squeezed us in on a very busy day at his shop. His guys Brian and Thomas went through our truck with a.fine tooth comb. They made us feel like family while we were at the shop getting our repairs. They were certain to include us in every decision and worked hard to make sure we were being charged appropriately for services rendered. I would recommend Joe, Brian, Thomas and the team to anyone in the area in need of car repairs. They have even followed up since we left to make sure the truck is still running well. Highly recommended.

I hesitate to write this. I like the owner.Full price, marked up OEM/napa parts only. OEM. Not autozone, advance auto, O'reilly. Even if a part could be found cheaply, locally and quickly, they won't do it. That means you wait while it's sourced from one of THEIR approved vendors. Sometimes several days. Just unacceptable, I need my car fixed. I can't drop it off and wait a week. My car is my job.I see a lot of praise for the new service manager in the reviews. However, I have nothing nice to say. He's completely ruined my experience at this shop. I guess he's making the owner a ton of money overpricing repairs. So as long as they're both happy it's his old customers that are the odd ones out.This used to be a nice little shop with inexpensive repairs and quick turnaround. Now? It's just like everywhere else. I can't say their work is bad. It's adequate. Thus the middling review. However, with the new pricing and overall negative attitude, I'll take my business elsewhere. I've probably spent 12-15k at this shop. Their loss.Shop around, get multiple quotes. These guys are now dealer level expensive. If your car is under warranty and you want OEM parts only, you could do worse than this shop. If you're on a budget and need the car fixed as inexpensively as possible while being done right? Sadly, this is no longer the place for you.

Customer service was okay. Good call back times. But 130 bucks to test to check engine light and a grand total of 1200 bucks for a tune-up and license plate bulb is a bit much. Brian, Jo and the team are Awesome Expert accurate diagnostics. Trustworthy advice. Amazing mechanic skills. I wish I would have found them 20 years ago. If you value the safety of your family this us the only place to go. Honest and Knowledge a rare combination in 2023. The staff takes their time with you like a consultation with a doctor, very patient. Thanks for the worry free experience every time. I picked up my Toyota from the awesome team and confidently drove to Kennedy Space Center for the Space X rocket launch which was delayed to 2.30am and drove back after launch and did not return home until 5 am. Flawless performance and drove like brand new, very quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to drive across the entire country this summer. I noticed they were working on a Jaguar, Land Rover and Mercedes when I picked up mine and realized they can work on any make model and brand with the expert diagnosis, repair, great price, warranty, worry free peace of mind. I can feel the quality. pride and care they put into my repair when I drive it. Very satisfied with the entire team at St Josephs

Jo was great. My car is 10 years old with over 165K. I knew I needed brakes when I brought the car to him. I also knew that at 165K miles the car would require other maintenance. I contacted Honda before reaching out to Jo. Honda wanted my first born. I could have bought a new car, so I called Jo. We reviewed everything and scheduled an appointment. I brought my car in and worked from him shop while they performed the work needed on my car. Anytime they found anything that had not previously been discussed, Jo came to me and we discussed the work.I am very pleased with how my car is running. Brian is great! Super knowledgeable and honest. Doesn't BS or try to squeeze your bank account more than it needs to be. They always make sure the car is safe to drive before you leave the lot. And if it's not, they'll tell you so. I've never left unhappy with the service

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! They held my car for over 6 months, they never gave me progress report on the car, they never really explained what was wrong with my car, all they did was lead me onto believing my car would be repaired. So after them having my car for 6 months I picked up my car only to find my interior was still taken apart and my hood no longer latches shut because they left open so long the latch is seized up. They didn't even bother piecing it back together also when I spoke to the owner said he COULD fix the car but he 'doesn't want too'. They're extremely unprofessional and honestly the worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

thought i needed my brakes changed and brought my own turns out I had good ones. Jo could have lied but instead proved to be honest and maintain his reputation 10/10 will be going back again. Highly recommend St. Joseph s Automotive. I ve lived in Brandon for almost 20 years and had no idea this shop existed until recently referred by a friend. Jo was great to deal with and took the time to listen to my concerns and actually diagnose the problem instead of just throwing parts at it. When diagnosed, he gave me options. The repair was done efficiently and effectively and he even called to follow up on it, which goes a long way in my book. We had the major components of the AC system replaced in our van and they did a great job at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto A/C replacement

I have taken a few of my cars to this mechanic for a few years now and had excellent customer service every time!!. Joe, the owner has always been very reasonable and fair with pricing! This last time I went he fixed all the issues that needed to be done for the same price the Jeep dealership quoted me for one repair!! He took my car in and had it finished the same day. He stayed late one Friday night past office hours to fix my Jeep and personally dropped off my vehicle later that night. To make sure I had my car for the weekend! I was beyond happy and grateful!!
