I ve used pep boys for many years. They ve always done good work and had a fair price. Unfortunately just like many other places they charge way more than what s fair. I would have gotten other services done but $300-400 more than a brake job should cost prevented that from happening. If I do use pep boys for anything in the future I will definitely use this Brandon location.

Use this location for fleet maintenance services every few months. Jacob and Red and everyone here are always professional and easy to deal with.The Pep Boys App and appointment set up helps to get me in and out with no hassles. Anytime I've seen them deal with customer's concerns, they explain everything in detail and only fix what needs repaired. I recommend this location to everyone I know.

I only have one star because they are fast with their services but that could be because they never checked my a/c fully. They overcharged me for a recharge and the problem with my a/c was actually a compressor. I had to go back to them for a second check just for them to tell me it's a compressor (as if I would really give them anymore money). They had no excuse for why that wasn't checked and determined the first time. I would never go to this location or any Pep boys again, their services are a scam.

Terrible experience. The big baby with the beard wouldn t let me leave until I got an alignment with my tires. I couldn t get the alignment because I was installing suspension that week on my own. On top of that I had road hazard but didnt grant me it because I wouldn t get an alignment. Hope this place gets shut down like the other pep boys in the area.

I went in last week to get my oil change and needed some extra repairs done. They didn t have the extra time to do it right there so we rescheduled. Gave me a paper with the price for the repair and everything. Go today for my appointment and they tell me it s going be an additional $200 on the price I was given. I let them know the guy last week gave me this price and they told me no! That rep was just trying to get extra work so they gave me a deal. But if that s the case why not honor that?? It s not my fault your employee made promises that I expect to be kept. Nothing but crooks! I m going to look into seeing if I can take this further. I called off work to get the repair at the price I WAS GIVEN IN WRITING, and they flat out told me no. Just all around bad customer service and crook behavior. I will be taking this further so you ll hearing from me.

Jacob called and left me a voicemail telling me that he had great news. My engine needed replacement. Absolutely ridiculous. I took it in for a high idle that took them 3 days to get a tech out. Now another shop has told me my transmission needs replacement due to no reverse, which the car was backed in so I wouldn't notice, it seems. I drove my car the the shop, and now I still have high idle and trans is damaged. Stay away from this location. "I have a little bit of great news, Richard." Absolutely ridiculous.

I have frequently serviced my vehicle(s) at Pep Boys from NJ to TX to FL and found consustemt service with all of them. Jacob and Red at store #139 were extremely helpful in replacinf my battery as well as providing a printout for services I scheduled in the near future. I find them efficient, knowledgable and polite each time I go to any shop. Prices are great also ;)

I came in for an alignment at this location with an appointment at 11:30am on Aug 31.2021. I purchased a lifetime alignment warranty with Pep Boys a few years back. After waiting an hour, I walked over to the desk to see what was going on with my vehicle. Conveniently my car is finally being looked at, and I need to replace a bad bolt on my control arm. I just replace both of my control arms, one being last week. So they go ahead and do the alignment. 30 more minutes of waiting, I get my keys to my vehicle at 1:47pm. I didn't make it to the light before my check engine light comes on. I do a u turn and the Manager Lacy says it couldn't be their fault. Even though it wasn't on before I got there. And they tried to sell me more services/ products. Lacy proceeds to use the coder to check what the computer is saying the problem is, then he said he couldn't give me a print out. Which is a lie. He eventually printed it.I also have a piece of my frame hanging off in the backside of my passenger side of the door.

Store in lakeland charged me $250 less for the same exact tires I even compared the 2 bills same exact tires. Not only was I charged way more I needed the 2 driver side tires changed due to a blow out the mechanic takes it upon himself to change the 2 front still leaving me on a donut and all he could tell me was I can sell you another tire after charging me over 600 for 2 already. I explained this to the gentleman at the lakeland location and he assured me that will never happen at this location and apologized for the terrible experience at the brandon store.

I've been bringing my vehicles to Pep Boys since the 1990s but lately the simple things (in this case replacing tires) that took 30 minutes in the past literally took 2.5 hours. What is the point of making an appointment if you pull walk-ins through before me? And I had the 8am opening appointment.

8:30am 8:30am I ARRIVED AND LEAVING AT 3:30PM. I CAME IN FOR A LIGHT BULB CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION! IM SO UPSET I FEEL LIKE CRYING! IM A UBER DRIVER AND MY TIME IS MY MONEY!THIS PLACE NEED TO CLOSE DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!!

I scheduled an oil change using Mobil 1 and a free tire rotation. On check in it was noted that the tire rotation wasn't listed, but the service advisor said it would be done. My appointment was booked for 5:30. I arrived between 5:15 -5:20. An hour and 20 minutes later I was told my car was ready. None of the tires were rotated because tech says it wasn't necessary, because all tread depths (3 per tire) matched. Tech suggested an alignment which makes no sense since the tires show perfectly even wear. Oil change was not coupon eligible because it was special order oil which was picked up on the other side of the the shop's wall. I measured my oil level at home after a cool down period and it is exactly halfway between the add oil and full indicator marks. So, I paid full price for a job that wasn't verified complete and a free service was not performed because of perfect tire wear yet a tire alignment was suggested to fix a problem not seen. It's hard to tell which is truth or fiction. UPDATE 9.29.23 - oil is leaking out. Found dinner plate sized spot in work parking lot, another twice as big in my garage. PEPBOYS, I've replied to your ask for info.

Be advised -- this location will purport dishonesty and misinformation to either upcharge for better sales metrics or avoid work entirely. After a lackadaisical inspection of my vehicle (2016 Ford F-150), the Service Adviser noted several outstanding conditions: tire tread depth less than 2/32", cupping of tires, and dry rotting of tires. Not one of these conditions were found to be accurate after a separate review of the subject tires by a certified technician.If you are seeking a repair facility for your vehicle, please heed this review of Pepboys in Brandon.

Yesterday was my last visit to my nearby Pep Boys since I am moving in 2 weeks. I've been going there for years and dealing primarily with Lacy, my favorite service rep. Let me say that he is an honest and reliable man. I have not once felt as if I was being oversold or misled, they are the most reputable repair shop that I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. I don't even think I was due for an oil change but wanted to get one more in before I moved. Thanks Lacy for your great service!

Always done a decent job. Lacy is very helpful and is great at explaining whats going on. Great service they offer to be able to Uber while your car is being worked on.I would give a higher rating if I didn't run into another associate Brad. He is condescending, uses jargon and gets frustrated when you ask him what it means. He took my 5 star visit down to a 1 star. Recommend if he is the one assisting you to ask to speak with someone else. Also recommend making an appointment.

Came here for 1 Tire Mounting and Balancing.Went here with an 10 o'clock appointment, waited about 3 1/2-4 hours. Requested my tires to be rotated and they refused to rotate them saying my tires were below tread which they were not. Which that's fine whatever.Guy tanks on my back door repeatedly trying to get it open.My issue is they damaged my tire valve stem and didn't repair it, didn't inform me, letting me drive off with it all the way home. Get out my car and hear just PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. All of my air just coming out. Call corporate and the risk supervisor says it's my fault for not checking their work and I have to have them tow my car and me pay for their mess up. Let's see if they even refund me which I don't.You guys broke multiple laws and the sheriff's office will be called for your endangerment.Horrible place. Unless you like risking your life, don't go here.Now I'm at Broadway Tire repair and they are fixing the tire for me after informing them what happened.

I young man behind the counter sunday was excellent. He was there and opened the store early. I had an 800am appointment but the rest of the tech where not there ready to work until almost 830. It took 31/2 hrs for 4 tires and an alignment. When I got on 75 the truck started shaking. I call the store the same young man was very polite and professional asked me too come right back. He had the problems fix but it took over an other hour. The rear tires where not balanced properly. I will use this location again based on the gentleman who was in charge again he was very nice, polite knowledgeable. It was also obvious to me they could use more help not his fault.

The guy working the service counter was great. Everyone I encountered was kind, the lobby was great to sit and do work while I waited on my car. Car was done in a timely manner and at a price that was fair and way better than the dealership.
