Took my car to Paul's to find out why it stalled. 2 days later I get car back in worse shape then I brought it in. Now it has a loud muffler. Was told by them the muffler was rusty and they won't touch it. It was quiet and no issue prior to there crew messing with it. Taking it to another mechanic will update because I know something had to have happened at their shop for it to start acting like this. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to pay them to make more issues with your car.

This Team has been taking car of all my import cars since I moved to Bradenton in 1996. We have never had any issues. Service is "five star" and at a price that won't break the bank! Reliable, trust worthy and family owned business!! What more can you ask for in automotive services. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Mike is an honest good mechanic. I m not from the area found him on Google and can honestly say I ll keep coming back. Went around to my dealership thought it was a huge problem only for it to be a small fix found by him. Thank you Mike. He made a simple solution and fixed the problem without taking advantage and helped a single stressed out mom.Service: Auto maintenance

Well since Paul doesn't own the shop anymore it shouldn't it reflect on his reputation. I liked Paul I thought Paul was a very fair man and I thought he was a good guy all around he'll tell you what you need and tell you what you don't need he was just a good guy that you can trust with your car.that's so means so much anymore..... nowadays you got Mike who owns Paul's automotive and I believe in my own experience which I just had my truck repaired there been going there for about 2 years.. Mike since he's the owner now he charges more money he's less sociable very ignorant((when it comes to being aware of people's expenses)) that they have to move around to get their vehicle fixed it's not a very fair kind of guy I believe that Mike charges way too much money for the service he provides never told me before doing the work that he charges $135.00 an hour I can actually print the bill out if somebody wants to see it.... The oxygen sensor and a EGR valve, Mikes Invoice $800.00 I was floored by this ballooned price !!!! I was told by the dealership this should have cost no more than 400.00 he charged $800.00 !!! and then another day I went there and my car was squeaking I have two vehicles so what they did was they took the serpentine belt off cleaned it put it back on $110.00 not a new belt mind you it was the same belt I had, all they did was wipe it down $110 and That's Mike. ...... So the owner just called to complain about my Review he told me he charges 135.00 per hour so I called Toyota an asked what there hourly rate was I was told $115 per hour.. Mike then told me I won't be bringing my business back anyway .... Then he said why should he do anything since I won't be bringing my business there ....when I told Mike the problem is there still .. he hung up the phone . Paul doesn't OWN IT anymore...STAY AWAY PEOPLE.Don't buy the old reviews ..Here's another customer reveiwIn November 2021, Paul's Automotive Services (Paul) replaced a steering column module on my Mercedes Benz C300. This obviously was not untrue, because the company still operates under the same name and Paul Bondar owns the property. Truly horrible experience.PsI wanna say this has nothing to do with Paul at all . I'm sure I wouldn't even have had this problem ....

Paul does great work for a good price. The office girls made it a breeze! Replaced the valve cover gasket in 24 hrs and the truck runs great again. Paul and his team were helpful, straightforward, informative, efficient, and problem solvers. I recommend Paul's Automotive for repairs. 5 stars.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

In November 2021, Paul's Automotive Services (Paul) replaced a steering column module on my Mercedes Benz C300. Subsequently, I have verified that the part the part had been replaced fraudulently. Not only was the original part in perfect condition, but the replacement part was incompatible and resulted in malfunction of the main computer. In January, I requested that the problem be verified, but they were ignoring my calls. When I visited in person, I was informed that Paul had retired and the business was managed by Mike. Mike indicated that he had no dealing with Paul and would not accept any liability. My family trusts Paul with all of our vehicles. Paul and everyone at his shop are wonderful, good, honest people. Just recently, when I needed my vehicle to be looked at after TS Hermine created problems for it, I gave my insurance company Paul's information to be taken to his shop. I trust that Paul will be honest about the state of my vehicle as he has many times before when we have entrusted our cars to his care. He is straightforward and will not search for a problem when one is not there. They are also great with my son and have a box of toy match box cars and give him one when he tags along with me to Paul's.

I bought a car in May of 2019. At the recommendation of the seller, I had Paul s complete a pre purchase inspection. I agreed to have the work done at the price quoted. I live out of state and placed the service order on June 23, 2019. I am writing this review on February 18, 2020.My car is not done. I can t find out anything legitimate about what it needs and what the stage of repairs are.I have called about every two weeks. In the time I have received three or four return calls although was told most every time I d get a return call.So I m headed to the shop next week to pick the car up. God only knows what I will find.I ll update after next week.If this is not mercantile abuse, I don t want to find out what it is.

I can't say enough about how amazing Paul's Automotive is. He is an upstanding and honest mechanic great prices and outstanding service. Our family has been going to Paul's for over 15 years and we would have it no other way. He gets us in last minute and back on the road right away. Wonderful Mechanics! Fast and reliable. My car broke down on the beach and Paul came in 11 minutes and on a holiday weekend.( Goodfriday ). Honest and very knowledgeable.Paul made a horrible day great. Thanks PaulI Highly Recommend Paul he is a great person and a fabulous mechanic. I Love his Wonderful Dog too. ; )

Paul is as honest as the day is long. Took my Honda there as battery light was on and indicator saying charging system not working. He could have easily replaced the alternator and hit is with a fee... But he didn't. He passed saying we didn't need to get it fixed. Honest guy!

We took our truck in since it suddenly started running rough. It was looked at that same day. He did not even charge me for diagnosis. Said it needed a valve job. Took us a while to save up the $1500, but when we took it in and they started the job, found it was just a broken valve spring. Cost was 1/3 and was ready quicker than expected! What an honest mechanic. Paul even came and picked me up so I did not have to walk the mile to get our truck. We have never in 55 years had such great service and honesty!!

I cannot believe how knowledgeable, kind and honest this mechanic is. He not only repaired my car on the same day (I was from out of town on vacation), but he drove me to and from the beach where I spent the day with my teenage daughters. The car is repaired for a fair price and the work is excellent. You cannot do better than Paul s.

Paul has had my car for over 2 months, still not fixed. Initially, it took over 3 weeks for him to supposedly fix it, I drove home and the same problem persisted (it couldn't go over 20 mph after engine warmed up) after $1200 spent, was it even taken for a test ride ? I took it back, he said it needed another part. My convertible top needed fixing also, after I ordered parts my topat his request, by mail at three different times, the top still doesn't work. It seems I get put to the back of the line when a $$ Money Job $$ comes in. There's always excuses, no call backs & difficult to even make eye contact with employee, I have to almost confront them in order to talk to someone. Cannot believe all the 5 star reviews. They accidentally threw away a necessary part for the repair which cost me an additional $150........Still waiting for car

Family has Know and had Paul Service their cars for over 40 years. He will repair only whats necessary. Honest low prices best service. I'll be the 2 generation Paul has helped!

Great service, customer first based mindset from the entire staff. One interest in mind the best service possible. They gave me a ride to my home while they worked on my car and offered to pick me up when it was finished. Most honest mechanic I've found in the area. Fair prices for service!

Most honest, reliable and hard working mechanic in the area. Fair and will explain everything to you, won't go ahead and replace unless you give the verbal "ok". The receptionist is very warm, and friendly. See Paul for all your automotive needs!!

Replacing the same alternator that they installed two years ago. I know it was not under warranty...but I did not get too much of a break? Still $500 for an MB part installed--could be much worse!
