Stopped in without an appointment, they got me in right away. The technician, Manuel was wonderful. He really went above and beyond and got me back on the road within the hour! He was extremely informative and very professional! Great communication and wonderful customer service!

I has serious misfiring going on with my 2009 Toyota & had heard Tuffy's is a good place, so I barely made it to work, then used AAA to tow my car to Tuffy's (now Mavis), which charged me for the "beyond 5 miles" fee. After I did this some people at work said "oh no you didn't take it there did you?" I thought, oh well I'll just have to pray.The manager said over the phone before my car got there, it's probably coils & plugs. So, that's what they ended up doing all new coils & plugs.... then phoned later saying my car is running "perfect." I paid to get a ride up there, then as soon as I turned the key & started driving, there was no change. I phoned them & they told me to just keep driving it, it'll correct itself. it didn't.Next day, Tuffy's/Mavis brought a tow to pick it up, which was a repeat of day 1 saying "come & get it it's perfect now." Paid another $40 to Uber up there, left work early & same thing. I turned the key, misfiring began & the check engine light was back on. Since they were closing they said to drive it the rest of the week & to "limp it in" Saturday. Which I did, then FINALLY after a number of hours, NOW they said it's running right.The manager admitted he was wrong & that they didn't have the proper contact when connecting everything. I told him I was out, a bit over $100 for AAA & all the rides up there, some missed time from work & expressed how stressful the week was because they didn't do it right the first time. I don't make a lot of money & paying the $500+ just for the coils & plugs was really hard on me. Did they offer to make it right? No. Just an apology.This extra stress & extra money & missed time from work, made for a very tough week. This extra money I paid was no fault of my own should have been offered back to me as a way to make it right.An apology, without an offer to make it right to back up that apology feels so disappointing. I hate trusting someone only to find out money is the biggest priority to them, not the people they're taking care of when they screw up.

I am visiting from out of town and surprise, my check engine light came on. Everyone in my family's neighborhood said to call Tuffy. I did first thing the next morning and spoke with Al. He said even though they were a little short staffed to bring it on in and they'd take a look. I can not say how pleased I am with this location and their employees. Not only did Al say it was probably one of 2 things, but he recommended starting with the most inexpensive thing (replacing gas cap), they'd reset the light, and we'd go from there. It looks like that was the fix because the light hasn't come back on. Super honest, reasonably priced and extremely nice. If my car ever had any other issues while I'm in the area I would definitely take it here!

Scott at Tuffy Tire & Auto was exceptionally helpful. A new alternator was ordered and installed within 24 hours. Although it may have been a difficult installation, I was charged what was originally quoted. Scott also let me borrow a battery to get me home until I could have my old battery replaced. I had been a loyal customer for years and am delighted that Tuffy is still fair, honest and a pleasure to do business with.

This location is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! Brandon, the shop manager is the BEST IN THE BUSINESS!! Do not hesitate to do business here. I go out of my way to get service here because I know they ll do it right!! Thank you guys and thank you Brandon!! Keep doing the Lords work. God Bless!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION...Terrible customer service.They changed the oil and serviced my Jeep. The next day I noticed oil leaking then the check engine light came on so I called Brandon, the GM, who personally came out and found the issue and filled it with oil. I noticed constant oil marks in my driveway so I took to Brandon who cleaned the entire undercarriage because he said it was residual oil from the leak before. The Jeep continued to leak so I took it back to Brandon and left it with him for five (5) days. He said he believes it residual oil and wanted to take it to a car wash. He says he took it through the car wash two (2) times but it was obvious he had not done anything. I took it to my mechanic who quickly diagnosed the issue and said it is leaking from the oil plug, there was even a rubber washer hanging from the plug dripping. I took it to Brandon again and he finally did what was need and recommended by my mechanic which was replace the oil pan and oil plug. Meanwhile to make me happy Brandon changed the oil in my Sprinter van and over filled it. On my way out of town on I75 a light came on the dash indicating the oil level was too high. Frantic not knowing what to do I called the repair shop and told Scott, the service manager, the issue. Scott informed me Brandon was off but he would have him call me, that was Wednesday. Brandon never called so I called him today, Tuesday, and he told me he has a life and doesn't work on his day off. He had six (6) days to reach out to me but didn't even call. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TUFFY'S/MAVIS TIRES 6025 SR 70 Bradenton.

I had a nail in my back tire this evening, I happened to realize it and was right next door to Tuffys. I was greeted by Brandon and even though there was a lot of cars there, he quickly assessed the problem and I was on my way in just a short time. So glad I went there. I will definitely return to this shop in the future. I highly recommend them.

I just love this place. My car wasn t start at all and I sent it to them and they diagnosed it and found no major issue. Then I was called to pick up after the condition was good to go. Surprise that they charged me nothing at all. I wasn t believed myself and asked again and this gentleman, Al give me his hand and said just shake my hand and you are good to go. Appreciate for everything, I would give more stars if there are more.

Had a screw in my left rear tire. Literally waited a few minutes and the vehicle was taken into the shop and repaired immediately. Great service and the Manager and crew were excellent!!

These guys are the best, Jake &Scott.. they got me in quickly for an appointment to change oil , rotate tires, etc. They said my belts were showing in my back tire and got me 2 new tires before they closed at 6 pm. He found tires that were on sale , quoted me a price with a phone call and installed them. I felt as a woman they treated me quickly and fairly. They will be my go to people. Awesome service guys!!!

I came to Tuffy because all other tire shops were booked and my tire was leaking air. Al was able to figure out what the problem was and solved it. His team fixed my slow air leak under 1hr without an appointment. Great place, great service and great people. Thanks Al.

My husband and I have gone to this Tuffy auto repair long before they moved to this new location! Darren the manager is honest and hard working! They get a few slacker employees but the solid staff has built a good team of people. They are not the cheapest around but their return time is same/next day and they warranty their work & parts; just check your receipt. They have never went against a warranty if something goes bad or put on wrong in both our vehicles! It is hard to find a reliable and trustworthy shop to fix anything and stand behind it for so many years! Our son has just introduced a third vehicle into the family network of vehicle maintenance at Tuffy!

Very kind gentleman took the time from his busy schedule to assist me and inflated all my tires. He saved my day as this occurred when I left for work this morning. Thank you so very much. He even gave me suggestions for nearby mechanics to get serviced immediately. Due to his kind service ill be scheduling my future maintenance and repairs here.

Always have excellent service. Everyone is very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, efficient and honest. They always offer solutions to repair a problem, answer any questions in detail and let the customer make the repair decision. Never do they try to oversell you on their products or services. Their vehicle inspections are very thorough. Prices are very reasonable. The facility is always very neat and clean. I've been going to Tuffy for many, many years. I wouldn't go anywhere else for repair issues or routine maintenance.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

This was the most pleasant experience. Had an appointment for a brake check, expecting the worse. Was informed brakes were wearing properly and did not need replaced yet! Talk about honest, professional courteous service! Will absolutely go back for service here.

Al and his crew were great. For someone out of state like myself, Al went above and beyond in trying to resolve a transmission issue we were having. I found them to be honest and fair, something we all look for when trying to find a shop for our vehicle maintenance and repair needs. I highly recommend you give them a try and see for yourself. Devin and the crew got me in for a slow leak in my tire. They had it diagnosed and fixed in 15 minutes. Can t recommend these guys enough.
