Larry was the lead on fixing my RAV4 that needed a new bumper, panel, tail light and painting. He was honest, professional and completed the job as promised in only 2 days. The work was impeccable. While I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews, I'm very pleased with the customer service I received from Larry and the quality auto repair results.

No customer service at all. Rude treatment when we actually went in because none of our calls or emails were returned after 3 days. Bob, the adjuster, should retire. He doesn't want to talk with customers and only gives short, rude answers. After 2 weeks of nothing and us paying for a rental car, we went to the sales dealer and traded the car it could be months before he does anything with it. Very bad decision to go to Gettel (where we purchased the car) for repairs. Even the insurance Co representative strongly suggested we go elsewhere, but we were naive and went to our dealer. A lesson costing thousands of dollars, but there was no one to go to. Bob and the receptionist both told us there was no boss available.Beware.

If you want your vehicle repaired or restored to as good as new condition then bring it in to this Collision Center. I have had two wonderful experiences with a Genesis and a SantaFe. Both jobs required parts and paint. I had the pleasure of working with two Erik s- Erik Grenesko and Erik Erickson. Erik G. worked closely with my insurance company to ensure that all my paint and body work would be covered. Erik E. kept me up to date on parts that were coming in and even texted me after I picked up one of the vehicles to remind me I had a trunk protector and clip for a tire well that they still owed me from the repairs that were done. I m just not used to customer service like that and especially from body shops. These guys are keeping customer service at the forefront of their business. I have to give a shout out to Rob who had to match some custom paint that I had done to my Genesis and mean this guy has some serious skills. Both of my vehicles are Hyundai but I saw all makes and models being dropped off and picked up when I was there.

Horrid, small fender replaced. Told me 3-4 days.Took 11 DAYS. I made several calls, calls NEVER returned. Service Advisor told me not to worry, insurance would cover everything. He also told me they work off commission now. So they overbook to make more money.No customer service!

It took 3 weeks to get an appointment. I brought it in on the day THEY specified & no one had any idea what was going on. My car sat ignored for several more weeks at their shop. It took repeated phone calls to find out when they might get around to looking at it. They said they would be taking it apart to get a damage estimate done the next day. When I went to remove my items from the car a week later, the car was exactly as I had left it - including the bumper tied on with twine. I can't evaluate the quality of their work because they didn't do any. But their customer service is really awful.

They have had my mom s car since AUGUST. They said on October 1st they had all the parts and were putting it back together. A couple weeks ago, they said they just needed to calibrate the sensors. It is now NOVEMBER. There has been no communication through the process and it s exhausting trying to hound people down to figure out what is going on. Do not get your car repaired here.

BEWARE I brought my Hyundai in to get the rear window fixed and got my car back with 3000 miles put on it. Do not bring your car here for service unless you are willing to risk someone driving it while it s supposedly being fixed. when I called about the issue, I was hung up On. Asked to pick my car up and was told it needed to be detailed and picked up next day, but when I got the car there was no detailing done.

I ll start off by saying the only positive thing, their work is good. Other than that no one answers the phone and the repair time is extremely long. Also I never have food in my truck and when I got it back it had ants.

They fixed a dent in my car door (the door was closing properly, it was purely aesthetic damage). Anyway.. now the battery is dead and the car sounds funny after jump starting it. No help from customer service whatsoever. I never leave bad reviews for any business, but I will never step inside of gettel Toyota again.

These people are rude and demanding when working with your insurance. I can help that my insurance didn't pay you before I pay the deductible. Did the most minimum work on the vehicle and didn't care what other mechanics said when they said the accident caused the headlights to go out. They believe hitting a wall with the front of the vehicle has nothing to do with my headlights not working.

They repainted about 80% of my car and replaced both driver's side windows due to damage from Ian. Took a little longer than estimated, but gave me my 2023 Elantra back looking brand new again! In their behalf for taking so much time, they actually squeezed me in to get this done. Our collision center in Port Charlotte said they wouldn't even talk to me until January 2024.

Took my car in for basic painting of my cars hood, had the front bumper replaced, and a rear side panel painted and Fixed on my 2023 kia. After I picked up my car from the Service guy Erik, I noticed air bubbles in the paint on the hood, and the bumper was coming apart in the center, with a raised bumped in the center of the bumper! Why someone would send a car out like that after a Repair behooves me. Also the rear side panel, we re I assume they had to take the rear bumper off to paint and fix, they left the rear pins out on both sides of my rear bumper. Also the other paint shop showed me where they didn t cover parts of my car properly when spraying the hood, and I had over spray on other parts of my car, so unprofessional! So I brought my car back in to have the air bubbles fixed, and whoever did that Job left visible swirl markes all over the hood of the car. After all of this I said forget it, and took my car to another paint shop, and just cut my loses. Horrible experience, Horrible Shabby Paint Work, very unprofessional, nonchalant attitude by Service personnel! Avoid this body shop at all cost!

Promised 3-4 days work turned into 19 days. Customer service nonexistent. I had to drive there in order to talk to someone about my car. What makes me most upset is the fact that after picking up my car, the car was dirty marker on the window not to mention VERY sticky tape on the body of the car and headlight I don t even know how to remove it at this point since it s soooo dry from the sun. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

These people deserve zero stars. I am going to try to keep this short and to the point. When you call they give you voice mail and do not return your calls. This includes the general mail box, my service writer Blair, and the manager Eric. They do not make contact with you to give updates as well.My truck has been there since May 1. I went this past Saturday to pick it up and the steering wheel was basically off by 150 degrees. The service writer who was there at the time basically said its not his problem you need to speak with Blair who is off. How about calling the service department to Align the car which should have been done already? Its now 9:50 am on Monday morning. Do you think anyone has called to tell me when they are going to have the truck ready? Nope. This job is over $9000. Bottom line you could not get worse service from a body shop. Brought my car for estimate- didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. Tried calling to get info and was given to 3 different VM's on 3 different occasions within a week. Never got a return call. Poor way to do business.

I had a claimant insurance claim for damage to the rear of my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. Once I was finally able to get an appointment date (after waiting four months), Scott Tetrault was my service writer. The repairs took six days and when I did pick up my SUV, we (Scott, Erik and myself) noticed that an applique under the rear door was not properly installed and which Erik and Scott already knew about. Erik said he would have a replacement ordered. Three weeks went by and no word from Scott, even after I left him four voice mail messages. I called for Roy Smalls, the Collision Service Manager, to file a complaint against Scott and was connected with Erik, who is Scott's manager. He was very disappointed to learn about Scott not returning my calls and said he would call me right back. Erik called me in just a few minutes and said he found the applique in Scott's office and he would be taking Scott to task about the matter. I took my SUV to Gettle Collision the next day and Erik took charge or getting the applique installed in just a few minutes. The mechanic who did the install did a poor job so another applique was ordered and properly installed the next day (yesterday). I thank Erik, who is a very nice fellow, for his help, and I would encourage everyone to stay away from Scott Tetrault.Service: Body & Trim

Absolutely fantastic experience at Gettel Collison Center Bradenton. My car paint was chipping off and I received a warranty letter in the mail from toyota. Brought my car in, got a free rental for a week and a half (they estimated it would be 3 weeks, and it was done early!). Not only did they do an absolutely fantastic job respraying my car for free with the warranty, they even cleaned the inside of my car for me. It looks like a brand new car and I'm so happy. I'm so grateful not only to the staff that worked on my vehicle, but the amazing customer service by Blair Smith. He was kind and responsive, explained the whole process from beginning to end. I ended up paying to get my bumper resprayed as well since it wasn't covered by the warranty, and he made sure it was the price he quoted me. Hands down would go there again, but pray I don't have to ;) Don't hesitate to go here!!!Service: Painting

I went into Gettel Toyota to get a repair quote. The gentleman was very friendly. This was during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. I decided to wait until January to get the repair done because I had company and it was a very busy time. I called and left several messages to make an appointment to bring my car in. The estimator never returned any of my phone calls. I guess Gettel only wants large repairs that bring them thousands of dollars. Very sad that they could not return any of my calls to say they were too busy, not interested, etc. I find that very unprofessional and will keep that in mind if and when I purchase my 5th Nissan.

Took car in to get an estimate. Albeit, the welcome was not up to my standards, as nobody said hello as I walked in, and another customer felt the same as I heard her complain about this. I think it is a Sarasota thing as I get this often in the area. People just don't say hello...whatever, I'll get over it. Stacy was friendly and nice. I was introduced to Dave, who is a jolly good fellow. They were prompt with an estimate, and fair. David supplied me with written estimates and did not pressure me. I left and went to get two other estimates. After visiting two other places, I received around the same quote, I took the vehicle back to this location. I approved the work. Three days later I got a call from Stacy stating my car was ready. Very nice and warm person. I returned and before closing my balance I inspected the work. I always recommend this. Also, read everything and understand it before you sign it. Anyways, I noticed micro scratches under the clear coat and reported it to Dave. He took the car back in and had it repaired properly. 3 more days later I had a car that one would never know was damaged. Very good work and communication. I will be back with my other vehicle to remove some dents. I recommend this collision center as it is in a safe area, they are willing to work with you and they have great coffee. Try it as you enter.

After a minor traffic accident, my insurance agent recommended Gettel Collision Center and although the person I was supposed to see (David) was extremely busy, he took time out to not only look at the damage with me, but he lent a kind and sympathetic ear to my personal accident story. My van is still there, but after dropping it off and speaking with David, I felt like the matter was in good hands.

There was a little misunderstanding in the beginning but it was all taken care of to my satisfaction Dave was my service agent and took very good care of me four brand new tires alignment and oil change truck is running fantastic smoothest ride I had since I bought it. Waiting areas very spacious and has very comfortable seats everyone was good been going there since 2013 I was at Gettel service center

Fixing my tire and suspension took a month to fix. It would be nice if toyota offer a loaner not only for mechanical issues but also for body work especially if the work is being delayed due to parts. Their prices are overpriced anyways might as well accommodate their customers. Won t be back in this shop anymore. At least lakewood gettel offered me a loaner when i brought my car there but since that lakewood toyota doesn t have body/collision center my insurance decided to transfer it here. If lakewood was willing to help me out, it would be nice if this toyota would too but I guess not toyota are all the same...

I ve never been to a body shop like Gettel Collision. Having four accidents in the past year I dropped the 2017 vehicle off drove home in a rental it was made new again and detailed perfectly. I would recommend Gettel Collision Center for their workmanship, dependability and thoroughness from everyone I ve talked to there on the phone and at the facility. The receptionist is outstanding like all the people who work at Gettel Collision this may be the best body shop I ve been to. The bodywork is perfect every time.
