Guys I do not know why I cannot let this sit well with me. I locked my keys in the car and I needed to go pick up my kids from school. The locksmith said he is right in the area and he showed up supper quick ( five starts for that) He opened the door in like 3 min and asked me for $150. I was shocked- I do have road side assistance but he insisted on Zelle and said he does not take insurance. I understand but $150 for 3 min job while he was right in the area? I felt taken advantage of because I needed to go to get kids from school... so I take blame because I called without asking for how much it would cost to do this job- but I called around after and this definitely overcharge. Another locksmith said that for my toyota car he would of made another key for that price.

Very poor experience. Felt I was blatantly over charged for a very simple project. Charged triple the cost for a part. Partly my fault for not asking for an estimate. Would highly recommend others do not do business with this company.

Lost my only key to my safe, and the pass code I had forgotten. As you can imagine the panic I felt. I didn't realize that round keys can't be picked! But Steve pulled through and cut my safe open! Not only was that impressive? But a true blessing! And they're 24 hr service! I would totally recommend this company to my friends and family for their needs!

Locked myself out of my work truck while i was on call. After calling around went with florida lock & key as they had the most affordable FLAT rate to come out. In under 30 minutes i was back in my truck. 100% satisfied with the prompt/ friendly service. I definitely recommend these guys.3/27/2024Had to use FL&K again yesterday. Told the guy I d leave a review. I didn t realize I had already left one a year ago lol. Still prompt, affordable, and professional. Thanks again!

A poor experience. I used this company a few years ago to install an electronic lock on the front door of my condominium unit. The service was fine. I called them last week to install a deadbolt lock on the back door., a simpler project. The two doors are identical. After a second call I was able to secure an appointment today during a four hour window. About two hours into window I received a text asking for a picture of the door. I provided one immediately. I heard no response so I called. I was advised that they don t do work on that type door. No explanation for the policy change.

Arrived to my store this morning and found a sticker advertisement on my door! Who exactly are you trying to advertise to and are you trying to create curiosity of whether or not someone tried to break in to your business? There are much better and more effective ways to advertise! Before you try to deny it, as I have seen you attempt to do on other reviews, the picture is attached.

I got my deadbolt installed a couple days ago and it works amazing this company is realistically fast and very professional. I ve had my car unlocked by them multiple times and they always showed up quick and was able to unlock my car the first try.

I lost my exterior door key and wanted to replace it with a suitable lock cylinder. I saw online that it was open, so I called to make an appointment, but when I drove there, no one was there, and I didn t see a sign about how to open. Also got hung up on the phone, wasted my time

No actual building that I could find. I needed a battery for my truck fob and to have a key cut for it. I was going to stop in while I was running errands but no physical building.

We forgot the key to the downstairs of our beach house and he was here in 20 minutes. He was able to help us gain access and the price was way cheaper than when I used Pop a lock. I will use this company for now on!!! Great quick service once they arrived, just wish they had been more honest with their time of arrival. They had told me 15-20 minutes, but I ended up sitting outside in the cold with my screaming one year old for 45 minutes. Again they had great friendly service at a good price and I would have been fine with the wait if my daughter wasn't with me. But i picked them because their business is only 8 minutes away, and they told me they could be here so fast.

I just had Florida Lock and Key come out and replace the lock on my sliding glass door. I chose them due to the amount of good reviews. The tech was here no more than 15 mins total and the bill was $200. I just googled the mechanism and at Home Depot it sells for less than $12 . I know they buy at cost, so this was pure gouging profit. I mentioned to the tech that they were having an anniversary special with 15% off. He said oh, and then gave me the discount. He should have offered that upfront and had I not said anything, I would have not gotten it. I will never use this business again, nor will I recommend them on Next-door.

We had a great experience with FloridaLock&Key - they were quick to schedule, respond, and even followed up to make sure we were all set. We had a particularly confusing issue with a commercial door lock where we had to send parts a couple of different times, but FL&K took great care of us. I will call them for any locksmith work I'll ever need in that area. Thank you Steve!

I'm sorry that I don't know the young man's name but, he drive a white car and he was possibly the son of the owner. He was there so fast, he worked so hard to get my keys out, the car was not cooperating! He had a smile and was kind the whole time. I recently had an absolutely dreadful experiece with another locksmith so I was terrified to call anyone. I was SO HAPPY with my experience I wont call anyone else again! No wonder you have stayed in business so long. That young man is an asset to your company!

They are awesome! Call another locksmith and told me they couldn't open my car because of the type of car I had and I called Florida lock and key and they were here in minutes And told me they could do! They are life savers, I was so close to buying a CUSTOM made key for my car because I thought it couldn't be done!Thank you so much Florida lock and key!

Replaced deadbolt on front door in February. The cost was $171.20 which included $95 service call, $35 deadbolt replacement part and $30 for "minor" repair/adjustment. Lock never worked smoothly from day one but was workable. Recently turning the key became impossible.Florida Lock & Key told us they would charge another service call to look at it. When I told them that the repair was never done exactly right in the first place, I was told---tough, you should have called within 30 days (as if we didn't have other things to deal with then, i.e. virus). If you won't pay the SC, get lost.Bad job. Rip-off. Rude.Never use this company.Service: Door lock & bolt hardware installation

Less than a year ago when they came out to install new locks they tried to charge more than quoted, today I called because I cannot use my back door lock as it is loose and won t open. I called them to repair and they want to charge me. I have been in my building for 6 years with no issues so it makes no sense in them not to keep there word on the warranty when I have never have had this issue before.Service: Door lock & bolt hardware installation

Came out Sunday night, was there in less than 30 minutes unlocked my car very quickly, very professional and courteous, and charged me weekday pricing instead of weekend prices, thank you Florida lock and key. We will absolutely call you back in the future.

Highly recommend this company - Do not hesitate to use them. My Husband was an attorney & I am the Daughter of a longtime State Trooper so I know how important it is to use reputable locksmiths. I was very impressed & this company will allow you the security & safety you need within a reasonable budget. Thanks to FL Lock & Key/Steve.

I locked my keys in my car at a friends house! Everyone else was going to be an HOUR TO TWO HOURS! Steve showed up in under 25 minutes, and had me in my car in under 3minutes. Thank You for the GREAT AND SPEEDY SERVICE STEVE! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE THAT HAS ANY TYPE OF LOCK OR SECURITY ISSUES!

I called them about 11pm Saturday night. I came home, walked in my house and set my purse and keys down on the counter, walked back into the garage to grab something out of my car and the garage door would not let me back in. It wasn't locked, the door knob just busted. Since my purse and keys were in the house, I had no other way in. I called and Lee arrived within 35 minutes. He had me back in my house and the door knob replaced within 10 minutes. I highly recommend them. I was very appreciative of Lee for coming out so late and helping me get back into my house. Thanks guys!

This guy was very friendly, courteous, and professional. Had us in the car in a matter of seconds. Even drove a long way, out of his way on a Sunday. Will definitely use his Services if I ever need them again.

I recently had a roommate move out. Due to problems in the past, I wanted to have my house re-keyed. Not being much of a handyman, I naturally went to Google to find the best company that Bradenton had to offer. After reading through reviews from several companies I decided to go with Florida lock and key. I am not normally a guy to write reviews, but I felt that it would only be right by me to express the gratification that I felt by making this decision. The owner was the one that actually answered the phone and performed the work. He was extremely polite, friendly, and punctual. Being a homeowner, and someone that works a lot, it is very important that I can trust anyone who is coming to work on my house to be ON TIME. Steve (if I remember correctly) was actually a few minutes early, and literally knocked out 4 doors in 45 minutes. I must say that I was quite impressed, and would recommend him to anyone. I hope that writing this review will help anyone that is looking for quality and professional work.

I had a very bad experience with this guy he made me feel very uncomfortable he kept flirting with me and made the whole situation worse. And on top of all that he charged me over $100 to unlock my car. I feel like I was taken advantage of.Update: No it was you, I got the phone number from here and you drove up in the same van in the picture. 100% This company even have the invoice. I can post the on here so everyone can see how you over charge people.

Over charged for services and parts ($85 part for $225) they did not fix the door properly when we asked them to come back and fix it they came out but refused to repair the lock properly the second time. Stating that it was bent and they could do nothing.We called another service to come out and they said the lock was improperly installed and the cylinder was not secured to the door. Meaning any key could open our front door.Thank you American Lock and Key for providing us the out standing service we should have recieved by Florida Lock and Key!!

Fantastic service and polite. The driver was quick and had no difficulties helping me get my vehicle unlocked. You never want to have to deal with locking your keys in the car but Florida Lock and Key made the night a lot better.
