I'm new to Florida. I own an older vehicle. MARTY was efficient. My car has never operated better. 1st Performance Automotive was recommended by AAA, I never received a 10% discount. I myself would rather know a great mechanic. THANK YOU!!!! MARTY, The point is when I return, which I will. I prefer again a great repair, not a discount repair.

No complaints at all! We brought an SUV in for an air suspension problem that had been going on for years and we finally got it fixed/ converted over to springs, thanks to 1st performance! They were very upfront, friendly, and fast! The pricing was excellent as well! They stayed in contact throughout the entire time it was in their shop and they even got everything done the day before they said they'd have it done. All in all I would highly recommend this place! Please be careful when using this place. I had my VW towed here recommended by AAA for being an in network shop that extended a 10% discount when using this shop. When the car arrived my Husband said he thought it was the timing that was off. The worker stated they do a Diagnostic test and that was charged separately from the repairs. Once he did the test he would be able to tell me if it was the timing. He called the next day and stated it was the timing and quoted $900 to do the repairs. We said go ahead. He called spoke to my husband and stated he replace the Timing but it still wasn t working so he assumed it was the gasket that also needed to be replace. He told my husband it was $1600 to repair and again we said Ok go ahead and do the work. They charged me for both parts and labor, a diagnostic test , oil change, and two fill ups of antifreeze and get this $75 for a DEBIT card transaction. He called a few days later and stated the car was done and he found more that needed to be done totaling $3098 for repairs.. NO ONE gave them permission to do additional work that he found . I needed the car back so we paid him on 2/20 Today is 2/22 and the car is broken down on the side of the road again. A guy stopped to help me and stated there was NO OIL in the car. NONE and I just supposedly paid for all of this. I called and was treated poorly and the guy stated that it could be something else that has gone out. I am beyond PO I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General s Office first thing in the morning. AAA will also be made aware of this. This is wrong on so many levels!

Bob did a great job. Was having a hard time finding someone to work on my 66 Ford F250. He brought it in immediately knocked it out quickly and did a great job. I would highly recommend him if you have a classic car that needs attention. - Claude

Rob the owner seems nice and somewhat honest..I thinkBut his mechanic is a lazy cheat depending on what kind of day he had..Got brakes done . Squeaked all the way home..brought it back, mechanic claimed no issue, so he didnt fix..also had my driver's window fall down so I asked it be fixed. Was quoted 450 plus...needed all new mechanical window system said the mechanic..Took it to A OK tires...the glass had come off the system...they fixed in 20 minutes for $100..then said, by the way, your brakes squeak....hit and miss at this shop at best..

Misleading Facebook ad led me to this place for an a/c recharge. Ad was for up to 1/2 lb of freon but I didn't see that because I clicked the get more info button. I called someone there. Then someone called me since I signed up through the ad, and I asked them if it's $99 for all cars. They said yes, with no mention of the details.When I got there and talked to one of the workers, I told the guy that it only blows out 60 degree air. He told me that's all I can expect from any car, but the internet says cars should blow 45-55. I've personally seen this vehicle and my other blow 45.When I filled out the paperwork I checked the section stating I'd like a written estimate before the work is done. Then I got billed $225 without warning. For that price I could have went to shop near more, and probably have got it done for less.The price should be for a FULL recharge. All vehicles take about the same amount of freon, and freon is cheap, even at retail price. They had several opportunities to handle customer expectations, especially with me inquiring about it and even checking the box when I got there.They know they're misleading people for profit and they didn't care that I was unhappy about it.

I have a '72 beetle that needed an engine installed and some other overdue repairs. Rob took care of getting the beetle back on the road quickly and with excellent care. I will definitely be back for any future repairs. Definitely one of my toprecommendations

These guys not only saved me lots of money versus going to the dealership... They also pointed out extra repairs the dealership was suggesting which were not necessary. In other words, these guys prioritize service in the hopes that you return versus sticking you with a bunch of frivolous repairs and a bill you would have to finance to pay. Bonus points for working with Costco's auto program which saved me a little more off the top. Excellent business practices. I will be back for my next repair.

Our car stopped on road and had to get car towed. We were greeted in a kind manner and were provided with exceptional service through out. Needed an oil change and tire rotation on my 2019 Ford Explorer. Called Rob today at lunchtime to make an appointment for possibly next week. He said to bring it in now and they ll take care of it. I drove up to the shop and I was in and out within 20 minutes. The service was fast, well done and and I was completely satisfied.I have been here multiple times now for routine maintenance and they have always done a great job.Would recommend him to anyone that needs an honest and professional repair or service.Thanks RobService: Oil change

Robert and his team inspected and serviced a vehicle that sat idle for a year and a half. They got to work quickly made several minor repairs and did the work that was needed. I got the car back the next day. Prices were fair, service was great and the work was professionally done. I could not ask for more. The guys were very helpful and came highly recommended by AAA. They worked on my son's 2018 Mustang GT, found him four new tires at a reasonable price, and took care of his oil change as well.We were very appreciative of their efforts, quick service and customer service. I had my 1996 LT1 Corvette in for replacement of coolant lines, heater hoses, and a full coolant system flush, and Robert and staff were knowledgeable, professional, and did great work at a great price, especially on the tricky LT1 setup. Had my car towed to this shop by AAA on their recommendation today and I must admit, I was pretty nervous about it. Finding a repair place you can trust is a risky business! To my great relief, my experience could hardly have gone better. The repair was quick, reasonably priced, and through. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean and orderly. As my usual shop is located about 15 miles from where I live I will probably be stopping in here again the next time my car needs some attention.

Simply called them to ask to be removed from their text service since I have never used them nor do I even live anywhere near them and was told to text back to be removed. There is no opt out option and I have text back repeatedly every time I am messaged. The employee on the phone also seemed lost when I mentioned being contacted and I could tell didn't believe me until I told him that a Robert was texting me.

I took my car here to get the motor mechanism for my window replaced and to have my rear view mirror put back up. I had tried on five different occasions to put it up. They did not make me feel silly that I could not do such a simple task. I'm so glad there are still gentlemen out there that will give create to a women for trying. They were very professional and was swift in completing what I needed done. They were also very reasonable with what they charged. Thank you guys.

I am quite familiar with how auto repair shops try to rip you off, I have several mechanics in my family while growing up. These guys are above board and honest. They have no idea how much automotive knowledge that I have. I have given them ample opportunity to try and rip me off if they were of the mind to, yet they have never tried to take advantage of me. As a result I recommend Rob and his shop to everyone including my children. An honest mechanic is a rare commodity these days.

Well , Rob and company did it again .Brakes , rotors , rotation , oil change, a tire repair and a new tire, balanced and out the door for half of what others in the area quoted me , on my 06 civic.I'll be bock ..Hope not to be , but if I need any other repairs this is where I'll go. With my other 5 vehicles.

I set a reminder to review this place one year after I got my AC fixed in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. AC is still going strong. Good job. The price was much much much cheaper than what the dealership wanted.

Great friendly honest service, More than I expected from just getting a price quote for a tune up. I usually don't shop around much but was on a tight budget and am very happy with my choice. I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid R/T and not many shops have domestic, imports and classic muscle cars being serviced 90% of time . When I spoke with rob I told him I only just want the tune up and nothing else he gave me a quote of $169.00 dollars which I thought was awsome considering the fact that i was getting prices like $289.00 dollars; packaged with other things i don't need from the other shops in the area . At this point rob and his certified technicians have earned my trust so I left my car to have the work done . They called me about 1hour and 30 minutes later and told me the vehicle was done. I went inside paid, and drove away. They did not hassle me or tell me my car would blow up if I did not get .. done. It was actually a very pleasant experience; they even showed me the old parts that came off the car when I asked to see them . I would highly recommend them for any vehicle repair and maintenance they exceeded my expectation and earned my future bussiness .

Worst shop ever!! Thought this was going to be a good shop since we were referred by a friend of a man named Marty who is a mechanic there. Worst decision to come here!! Overpriced, very rude, and didn t tell me that they were going to charge $100 to look at it. Then told me it was 460 to fix my one brake caliber.. the part they said was 150 and the rest was labor. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

Awesome experience with some great people and truly gifted mechanics. They were able to diagnose and repair a squeaking sound on my Hyundai Sonata after the dealership at Universal Hyundai looked at it twice and couldn't figure out the issue. Needless to say I'll no longer be going to the dealership and instead take it to the pros at 1st Performance Automotive and have the job done right the first time around.

So AAA recommended this location to me over the phone after waking up and finding my car wouldn't shift out of Neutral, as my automatic car was literally stuck in Neutral like it was in park, but luckily I wasn't on an incline that my car didn't move.Towed to this location. I was hesitant because it was small, and not busy, and one mechanic. I have had great experiences with Mom & Pop shops and small businesses, but also have had the WORSE from them as well.So they jack up my car, and the guy shows me some things that needed to be done. I examined it with him, and he knew right away as did the tow truck driver what needed to be done.So I was told it would be done by 12/1:30ish. I went home, and what concerns me is this. I got a phone call from them telling me they got the part but GM didn't tell them they needed to get an additional part as well for my part they were replacing. So they had to have GM deliver them this component to finish the job. Mind you he looked up the labor cost to replace this part on my car. So now he quoted me a higher price than what was quoted before to finish this job. That's my issue.A business should know its prices based on a chart and GMs labor book on parts and labor. I am not new to this business and I am fully informed and aware of what most parts cost to replace in MY vehicle. Heck I have the PDF on my computer so I know the round about cost and if I am being ripped off.Lastly a mechanic should know the parts needed to do the job. It's not GMs responsibility to know what you need and what you already have in stock. They merely deliver what you ask for. It's the shops responsibility to purchase and mention what it is you want them to bring to you. By not doing this I wasn't able to pick up my car until 15 minutes before you closed, and paid additional costs which was in all honesty a costs I wasn't expecting and any other person hard up for cash, would see this as a hidden or blind costs and would be more upset than myself.Now I will say this, they were not rude, they were friendly. I got a call from another mechanic shop checking on the transmission they replaced as a courtesy call or follow up call. I almost went there but decided against it since this was a new business for me and I was stuck there. No since in re-towing it right? The car has had no locking up since they did the repair. I can't say they have space for waiting for the work to be done if any long waits. You may wanna get a cab/Uber or have a friend pick you up and bring you back if possible. Also they will install your items you purchased for your car for you but they will not warranty the part obviously for obvious reasons. What they will charge for this I have no clue.My biggest reason for this rating is the not knowing they needed to order a 2nd part and slapping me with additional costs to do what they already quoted me. The reason for this is because if you already started the work, and nearly done but cant because you the business didn't know you didn't order all the parts, that would leave someone out of a car for extended periods of time, and if the additional costs wasn't affordable, now you wasted their time, and money, and possibly left with no car. This is a HUGE fear factor.I may give them a 2nd chance but we will see.
