Was pleasantly surprised to see our good friend Regina during checking. As expected she did a fantastic job. Our room was clean and comfortable. Only suggestion I would make would be to move the ice machine. Otherwise great stay.Rooms: Clean and comfortable

Got a clean spacious room with a very comfortable Queen bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sofa & table, large TV and nice hot shower for a great price on Priceline. Arrived after 10pm and check in was easy. The breakfast was plentiful and the hostess ensured everything was stocked and clean. Good nights sleep and good location. Very pleased.

Excellent night sleep on very comfortable and very clean beds. Pillows and bed were fantastic. The place was very clean and you could see it wasn t a quick clean. Additionally, we arrived late and the front desk night shift lady was so pleasant. It makes such a difference in your outlook so late at night to be greeted that way. This is random but the front desk crews have not been great in other areas lately so it was a nice surprise here. Breakfast also was lovely and homemade. Attended to by a lovely lady as well. All in all a very good one night stay.Rooms: Clean. Had microwave and fridge. Soft and comfortable beds and pillows. Clean carpets. Lots of plugs for charging.Safety: Quiet and very safe.

Overall this property felt very dated. It s in motel format with the doors opening into the parking lot. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower was adequate but there was no extractor fan. The walls are thin and we could hear conversations and TV from the next room. Likewise, I was awakened during the night by activity in the parking lot, and in the morning at 6 am by loud conversations from people who had gone outside to smoke. The breakfast was the usual budget hotel formula with no healthy options other than bananas and apples. This would not be my first choice for future stays.

I rarely leave a negative review but the stay here was disappointing. I was left shaking my head at all the rave reviews and feel obligated to provide balance. The location was just outside the hub of activity. That has pluses and minuses. You need to drive to the town center for restaurants and shopping... and parking there can be a bit challenging. The room... #211... upstairs on the second level with an outside entrance, was a plus for us. HOWEVER, when we opened the door upon arrival, the stench of frebreeze or floral-scented cleanser was overpowering. Neither of us are particularly sensitive to odors but this was literally choking us. We had to prop open the door for the first two hours. There was virtually no other way to ventilate the room.Underneath our room, opposite the base of the stairs, was a room with 4 young men. They honored the no smoking in rooms policy by stepping outside to smoke but, guess what? Our room above them, with our door propped open, drew their smoke.... both tobacco and weed. Now we had a floral-weed-cigarette smell floating into our room.Bathroom lighting was poor; Bathroom door actually rubbed against the toilet when opening or closing; Toilet tank lid was cracked. We couldn't get the refrigerator to cool. Unfortunately we had placed food in it the first night thinking it was on. We noticed it immediately though and turned it to high. We figured it would go on and we'd be fine. The next day, we added a couple of other things to the fridge and found that it had never gone on and that the tray had filled with water and seeped all over the food. Still wasn't cooling. We were leaving so we reported it to the desk and hit the road. For the price, $403.92 for two nights, midweek during the slow season, it isn't worthy of the rating. We have stayed at Best Westerns before and we will likely stay at Best Westerns again... but I'll keep a better eye on the reviews.

At first my thought was it's a little pricey for what you get, but that's common nowadays. The room was large and the bed super comfortable! We slept well and appreciated that.It was clean and completely adequate.

I paid for my room last night with the discover card. Discover authorized the charges that I have a screenshot that shows they did. They called me and said that I have to come back and pay again because my charge did not go through. I went back. I called discovered discover said they authorized it and there must be something wrong on their end but they would not relent they said I have to pay again either with discover or with another card risking two charges. I ended up paying with a my American Express and discover said I now have to watch my account for the next 10 days to see if they charge me again or if it drops off. This is totally unacceptable. It's never happened before. It's Florida and I don't trust this. With all of the problems in today's world, worrying about your credit card security should never be one of them when checking into a hotel.

We stayed here on 11/4/22-11/5/22, we came for the Seafood Festival and was very disappointed. This seems more like a Motel than a Hotel. The room was somewhat updated but the bath tub was a very old and deep jacuzzi tyke tub, that I would be afraid to even try to turn on, for fear of mold coming out. The drain in the tub and sink were closed, and I believe it s to keep bugs out. The bed was comfortable enough to sleep, the room had a couch which my husband and I wouldn t even touch, it just looked dirty and stained. There was a live roach that came across the bathroom floor in the morning (which I stomped to death) and beside the air conditioner was a spider wed with a couple dead roaches in it. I kept all our belongings in plastic ziplock bags and in our suitcase. I ll stay in another town if we come back next year. The staff was friendly and the air worked fine. Just very disappointed for the price of $299.00 for a Saturday Night!!??

We were never told about the construction, or v there was no elevator, no room open on first floor. We were so tired from driving, and it was to late. To find anything . Being unfirmilare with the area.We are not a young family. Our room was good. The breakfast was cold, the person working the breakfast area. Was more interested in watching a local church on the TV.

My only regret was we got here so late and had to leave early. So kind and accommodating. We got some frozen meals at the piggly wiggly up the road cause it was late and everything else was closed already. We forgot silverware and the kind lady at the front desk got us covered. We had to leave early and they even provided us with some warm food before their start time. Felt like family almost and not just hotel guests. Adding this hotel to the great stops list. We will definitely be back.

Nice hotel. I'm a Best Western Rewards member and stay with them frequently for work and vacation. The location was great. Just on the edge of Apalachicola, but in the middle of so many things to see and do if you're on vacation. The rooms were clean and modern. No frills, but they get the job done. Service was pleasant getting checked in. I would stay here again.

Five stars for a very nice motel. (7/20-7/22/21) Pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and neatness of this motel. Neatness meaning the paint, carpet, counters, etc. This is clearly an older building that has been renovated, and the face lift was done very well, not sloppy at all. Everything was clean. The room didn t even smell like mildew (I expect all hotels in FL to smell like mildew)Sheets and towels were both soft and new.Breakfast was basic, as to be expected: yogurt, oatmeal packets, eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffle maker, coffee, juice machine.Staff were all very kind and helpful!

Very clean hotel. Rooms inside were nice. Property was very well maintained. Staff were all wonderful. Front desk receptionist was very helpful and sweet. The lady managing the breakfast area was wonderful. She packed our kids snack bags and continued to check on us and ask if we needed anything. Probably the best hotel we have stayed at.

The BW Apalach has been refreshed since my last stay there years ago. It's better than it used to be. Room was clean and the a/c cooled fine. Only minor complaint was the exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work so it got pretty steamy in there. Looks like some mold starting on the ceiling due to that. We put in a maintenance request for it before checking out.

I WOULD NOT recommend Best Western Apalach Inn.The staff was rude and appeared bothered when you asked a question or requested any amenities. Attention to detail and cleanliness is something to be desired as we had someone else's hair on our hairdryer and vanity, the sheets were stained, the floor was suspect-we weren't comfortable waking barefoot, the tub and toilet condition was unsettling and poor repair jobs from past water leaks, etc. were noticeable throughout our hotel room.Hot water was intermittent and the A/C was obnoxiously loud. While it did state that the rooms were non smoking, it became a moot point, as we were constantly being bombarded by smokers, both staff and guest, smoking outside the guest rooms and in the stairwells, upon exit and entry to our hotel room. The beds were only slightly better than a straw stuffed bag and should probably be replaced as they have zero support. The pillows were just as bad--lumpy and well past their prime.Definitely overpaid for the lack of value we received in quality, customer service, and overall cleanliness.

Arrived at hotel about 4 p.m. Front desk member very efficient and friendly. Only took a minute and a half to check in. Wife and I got to room, opened door, and amazed that room looked exactly like picture on website. Room very clean. TV, microwave, and mini fridge were newer models. Only issue was bathtub was whirlpool and fixtures had rust and scum buildup around them. We did not use whirlpool tub, and the shower, like most hotels, had low water pressure. Water was hot so shower was pleasant enough. We had breakfast 2 of the three days we were there. Served 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Due to covid they had a prepared bag with a pastry, piece of fruit, granola bar, yogurt and eating utensils. Also offered oatmeal or grits, and a hot serving. First day was scrambled eggs and sausage links. Second time was choice of biscuit and omelet or biscuit and gravy. Juice and coffee available 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. We went to get away and relax and this was the perfect place for it. Thank you for making this a great getaway trip.
