Visited the car shop for an oil change and full inspection. Extremely satisfied with the thoroughness of the service and attention to detail. Appreciated the comprehensive inspection report provided along with a picture. Will definitely be returning for future maintenance needs. Highly recommend their services!

Popped into the shop looking for some help with a battery on my lunch break. Phil was more than glad to help. I think he even delayed his lunch to assist me. Had me out in about an hour exactly. Awesome job. Thanx

Try to order tires online can only order factory size from them. So what do you do if you have aftermarket wheels which most people do. lol company is a joke and hopefully won t be around much longer

Update from my last review about the oil leak and how long you have to wait at this place. Pep Boys ended up telling my wife, they needed to change the oil pan, because it was just leaking for no reason. The cost was going to be over $600 for a $90 part. I know labor is expensive but this is highway robbery. long story short, call the dealership if this was still covered under warranty. They said yes. Took the car in today, and guess what. It was not the oil pan. when Pep Boys did the oil change last time, they didn't put back the washer on the screw. That was the cause of the oil leak. total cost - $90.00 and free inspection of everything else. not to leave out the cost of my sanity, and the amount of wasted time dealing with a bunch of liars at Pep Boys.. never going back.

I recently took my wife s car to be serviced at 710 FL-436, Altamonte springs, FL, 32714. After my service was complete my wife picked up the car and took it home. On the drive home she discovered that her brakes were not functioning properly and almost got into an accident right out of leaving the shop. I had to leave work and bring the car back to the shop. On my way back to the shop I also almost crashed because of the breaks not functioning properly. It turns out the car was returned to my wife without the vacuum line being connected to the break booster. It is highly irresponsible and unprofessional of your employee to be allowing someone to take a car out of their shop in that condition. My wife and myself were both put at risk under the trust that we put in your company. I'm highly disappointed they would allow something this unsafe out of the shop.

I went to the Forrest City Pep Boys and received excellent service from Elijah. They were quick, informative and I did not feel like they were trying persuade me to get unnecessary things done to my car.

I was happy with my car service I got done. They tried to get me out as soon as possible. It was my first time there and everyone was very professional. If you re going to wait there just take a water bottle since they don t have any water. Excellent customer service and advice on my car service for future.

UPDATE: Pep boys called me about the issues and had the nerve to tell me, The situation was due to my breaks failing when prior to my appointment my breaks were in PERFECT condition. They also told me their boss was on PTO so I haven t had this issue resolved since it happened OVER two weeks ago.I will be sueing since my life was put on the line and the almost accident was traumatic enough.Pep boys forgot to connect my vacuum line to the break booster after they finished working on my car. The car was driven out the lot to me for pick up so I don t understand how the mechanic did not notice my breaks were not working. I had to find out the hard way once I drove off and could not stop. Almost got into two accidents just driving home 5 mins away. I had my husband leave work after I called him panicking and he quickly took it back and finds out they gave it to me without my vaccum line connect. This was severely dangerous and almost cost me my life NEVER again.

Phil was a great help. My battery randomly died, so had to call roadside assistance, enough charge to drive here. He was very quick with getting me the help needed. 20 minutes before closing time and the guys stayed there even 15 minutes after close time to get me up and running. If you re in the area and in need of car assistance, pass by they ll help.

I am deeply disappointed by my experience with Pep Boys in Altamonte Springs. During a time when my husband was in hospice care and I was dealing with a lot of stress, we decided to take our car to Pep Boys because the check engine light was on. We paid for the diagnostic service, only to be told that the repairs would cost a staggering $1300, which included various valve replacements for the code.Feeling overwhelmed and not entirely convinced, I chose to hold off on the repairs. Instead, I took my car to a local place near my house, and to my surprise, they identified a simple gas cap replacement as the solution, costing just $40.34.This experience left me deeply troubled, and I felt compelled to speak with the manager at Altamonte Springs. I couldn't help but feel that they were taking advantage of my situation, quoting $1300 when the actual issue was resolved for a fraction of that cost.It is disheartening that I had to go through this ordeal and that I couldn't trust Pep Boys to provide honest and fair advice. This experience has not only left a lasting negative impression, but it has also made me wary of seeking services from the company in the future.I would advise anyone dealing with Pep Boys in Altamonte Springs to exercise caution and consider seeking a second opinion, as my experience has demonstrated the importance of doing so.

This is officially my go to place to get my car worked on. They are wonderful and so kind and helpful. I was having a hard time and Curt helped me more than he will ever know! He was truly an angel and so knowledgeable, kind, and caring. Never thought I d get such good service but I did. Will definitely be back! Thank you Curt for being so wonderful!!!

I made an appointment for 9:30AM for an oil change, was told it would take approximately 60-90 minutes. Returned to the shop at 11AM to find my vehicle had yet to be looked at. I waited till 2:21PM for my vehicle to be finished. If you make an appointment with Pep Boys do not expect them to abide by the appointment time you scheduled.

Phil is awesome. Had low tire pressure and a small nail in the tire, it seemed. They were able to remove the nail and, turns out, the tire wasn t punctured and was good to go. So they put air in all tires and rotated, as well as a free complimentary vehicle inspection, ALL FOR FREE! Super nice staff. Definitely would recommend this crew.

Had half of a screwdriver in my tire. They replaced the tire, not buy upselling, but per my request and changed my oil. This is my second time here and the service is always great.

Been going to pep boys for my car maintenance for years, but will not be going back after this experience. I would say avoid this location in particular if you can help it unless you just need your battery checked.My car did not start one day, so i got it jumped, it started up and took it directly to this pep boys because I have a battery on warranty with them. I told them what happened and paid for diagnostics on starter, alternator and battery. They tell me later the did not find anything wrong, even though it had not cranked just a few hours before. It was able to start and I drove it home. Over the next few days the car is cranking slower and slower and I'm getting worried, so i take it back in about a week later. I specifically ask them to figure out why its cranking slow. They call me later that day saying car is done, and battery is fine. I said I didn't ask for a battery check, I asked about finding whats causing the car to crank slow, did the mechanic notice it? They say yes he did notice it and its not a problem, also the battery is fine. They offered to charge me again for diagnostics on starter and alternator, but I declined because I was just in there a week before for the exact same check and was told nothing is wrong there either. So that was it, nothing can be done, they basically stonewalled me because according to their tech there is no problem. Graciously they did not charge me for this inspection.Well literally the next day my car breaks down in the middle of the day. Exactly what I feared would happen. I had to get a tow and spend the day getting my car fixed (not by pep boys). Turns out the starter was bad, it took this mechanic less than 5 minutes to determine this and said it was suspect after a visual inspection because it was covered in oil from an oil leak. I don't know what the heck they are doing at pep boys but they were really dismissive of my concerns and made no effort to really help me. If their mechanic cant tell a car has a problem the day before it breaks down, do they really have any business fixing cars?

Don t go here unless you want rude customer service and insane waiting times. I brought my truck for a simple alignment. I walk in and immediately Dave was really condescending and seems like he simply didn t want to be working there that day. I brought my truck in at 10:00am sharp and at 12:30pm i am told my truck is NOW being taken in to be worked on. I was told 1hr to 2hrs max. It has been 2 and a half hours and my truck was just brought in. Completely unacceptable. Save your money and go to another auto repair spot or a different pep boys with better customer service.

I arrived at Appointment at 9:30 but they said they would only finish in 3-4 hours. I decided to wait this time outside, but they started working on my car only after 5 hours. In the end, I waited outside for 6.5 hours.

Stay away from pep boys at all cost!!! This is second time at two different locations where I was lied to about services performed on my vehicle. Went in today for a simple oil change and tire rotation, and before taking vehicle in, I took pictures of rear tires to verify that tires were rotated properly. Upon pick up tire on rear was never rotated to the front; went inside to be told that my vehicle due to air ride suspension which it does not have cannot be rotated. My first question was why was I not told when I picked up the vehicle and why it was listed as done on my invoice regardless if the tire rotation is included or not. Very misleading business practices as the whole point of going to Pep Boys was to get my tires rotated properly evert oil change for proper wear. I was told after I explained that bags that are on my truck are simple load assist bags that would not hinder a tire rotation. Mind you I have been to Pep Boys no less than six times in the past on my 2020 ram pick up and tires were rotated each time! not happy, wasted six hours for a simple oil change to not have half of the job done also making me question whether the oil was even changed. I was originally told they couldn t change oil because no filter existed!! Seriously on a 5.7L ram engine produced for over 20+ years. Finally he found correct specs for truck. I joking said I bet you don t have a water pump got a 65 bug to which I don t think he even knew they are air cooled not water cooled. $80 for an oil change that I had a 25% off coupon to bring down to. $67. Maybe the 25% off meant the will not do 25% of the job or 50% In. My case when they finally realized I know what I mtaking about they said they could get to it after the tech got back from lunch . Not I m sorry not let me get someone on it right away for our mistake! This was my last chance with pep boys.

Pepboys helped me out so much! They were also sympathetic to my issue, a previous auto shop didn't do their work properly and I ran to them for help! Curt was welcoming and professional. They will be my shop from now on! Thank you guys!

Phil is amazing, he will not quote you a time estimate for repair, but he truly means it when he says we will call you as soon as it is done

Curt is absolutely the best. Every time I have come into the shop with any sort of problem he fully listens to what I m explaining and does his best to explain the process and plan going forward. He lets me know about coupons that would be helpful to use as well. They never try to add on things that aren t needed at that time, and always explain to me that if anymore problems arise to give them a call (not that there s ever been any problems after they work on it though). I am so thankful that they treat me with so much respect every single time. Can t thank Curt and his team enough. Will never go anywhere else!!

The level of incompetence here is astonishing. Brought my vehicle in for a simple tire patch after waiting 2 hours and watching all the techs stand around on their phones I finally said something to the so called manager at the desk Phillip. All I got was a rude reply and smart remarks. Mind you they had 2 vehicles in the shop so not busy at all. One day later and you guessed it my tire is already leaking and I m out of town. If they can t do a simple tire patch I can t imagine taking my vehicle in for any other mechanical work

I had an appt for 9am on a Saturday for an alignment, went in and was told that there s six people ahead of me (seen only two people sitting down) and manager asked if I would be dropping it off. Stated that I d be waiting an hour per person ahead of me and when asked what was the purpose of an appt, manager replied it s Saturday and we re really busy . So I drove ten mins down the street to Tire Kingdom and was taken care of within an hour. So don t waste your time setting an appt, apparently they don t hold any weight. Never again

I had booked in at 10:30am for the free wheel alignment check and a $100 wheel alignment at the Altamonte Springs Pep Boys. Wheel alignment is something that usually takes a hour or two at most. When I handed in my keys at 10:25am, the manager did not inform me that their alignment machine was busted. Two hours later, I see that my car is waiting outside untouched. When I ask, he tells that technicians are fixing the alignment machine. I cannot understand why the guy didn t tell me this when I arrived in the morning. If I had been informed right at the start that there was going to be an unforeseen delay I would have rescheduled instead of having half my day wasted. When I told him I would reschedule for later, he was annoyed and threw my car keys at me. Rather than apologising to me for not informing me of the busted machine, his behaviour seemed to suggest I had wasted his time. Not going back, for sure this Pep Boy workshop does not value its customers time and seem to lack common sense plus employs a manager who lacks primary customer service skills.

I loved pep boys and have been a customer for a while now. I had made an appointment to get 2 tires changed but I had moved earlier in the year and there wasn t a pep boys near me so I drove an hour to see them in the next city. When I went in I explained I had an appointment and the gentleman at the front desk said hope your dropping it off When I asked why he said that a big order came in before me, no explanation, then said it would be done tomorrow by the latest and shrugged his shoulders when I asked an estimated time for tomorrow. Even a simple phone call would have saved me $20 in gas.

Everyone was so friendly and they got my tire all fixed. Pep Boys is highly recommended when you are in a jam. Thank God for Dave he took care of my car. People come down and check Pep Boys out.

Always have a great experience with "my" neighborhood Pep Boys! My latest experience was I brought a slow leaking tire in late in the day, and the manager and staff spent the time and effort to find and correct it. They then Replaced a valve stem that wasn't leaking at my request, and sent me on my way, and they didn't charge me for what I would have been glad to pay. Thanks to all involved!
