I was getting a weird shake at highway speeds after replacing my tires. Took my car up to Tenleytown Automotive and my man Tommy hooked me up diagnosing and fixing the problem. He determine the tie rods were bad, and I was in need of an alignment. He went the extra mile and was super detailed and confident! My car feels new again and I couldnt be happier with the outcome! The whole staff is on point and won t let you down. Appreciate you guys!

I have had numerous great experiences with Tenleytown Automotive over the last 4+ years as they have kept our aging car alive. They have been able to give me good advice on what to get done or skip because we think our car should only last a couple more years, though with them taking care of it, could be longer! They are also priced so much better than the dealer. They have gone above and beyond to track down complex and confusing issues. Highly recommend!

Their online system was easy to use and approving repairs was a breeze. I loved the courtesy inspection and how thorough they were with pictures and explanations. Additionally, the work they did on my car was superb.I chose to decline service for several of the issues they found because they charge much higher for labor charges and parts than other mechanics in the area. The quote they gave me for several routine maintenance fixes including tire rotation, coolant, transmission servicing, and valve cover gasket replacement was over 800 dollars more than I ended up paying at another local mechanic.That being said, If you want a premium service for a premium price I think tenleytown automotive is a good bet

This place has great service, friendly crew. I loved their transparency in the costs breakdowns and when having an inspection of the vehicle, you re able to see (with photos) the parts that need to be addressed. Communication was great as well. My car was in at 8am and out by 2pm. Quick and easy. Thank you Tenleytown Automotive for the excellent service.

I brought my car at TENLEYTOWN AUTOMOTIVE because I noticed some noise here and there while driving I explained all my concerns and they did such a great job. Got a deep inspection. Communication was amazing text and email with pictures and all details of what needed to be done. honest mechanics! the prices are great, and definitely the nicest auto shop I've ever been to. Honest, efficient, and prompt service always.

They are super friendly, informative, and quick at this place. They helped fill my tires last week and when the tire light went on again this week, I knew where to go. The culprit (a nail) was located and a tire plug/patch was applied that should last the lifetime of the tire. Paid $30 and was outta there--the whole experience took less than 20 mins. Definitely keeping Tenleytown Automotive in mind for any future car issues.

Pretty sure this is the best mechanic this side of the Mississippi. Fair, honest, and fast. I had car troubles the day of a big trip to New Jersey, and they were able to get me in and out fast, car running like a dream. These guys are great. Highly, highly recommend.

I brought in my car at 8:30 in the morning and was able to pick it up the next day! Phil was extremely helpful and asked before doing anything to my car. Would definitely return for future car troubles!

Been coming here for a few years now. They are always very thorough and do a good job with the work. They're not pushy or trying to upsell. I recently had some work done beyond just normal routine maintenance, and they finished it quicker than I expected and at a reasonable price.

I appreciate that I can get an appointment in a timely manner. I like that they ask me before they do any work and are always responsive when I ask questions. The work is well done and the car is clean when I pick it up. You can tell that this is a family owned business, they take pride in their customer service.

We brought our 2015 car in for an oil & filter change. Great one day service w. reasonable pricing. Sent us an estimate before doing any work. Recommended we put off a wheel alignment until necessary, maybe 6 mos.While this was a simple maintenance visit, in the past, they have taken on much more complicated problems. Always pleased with timely and reasonable work.Thank you to our regular car guys...

The scheduling, drop off and repairs were down seamlessly via text and email and without any hassle. As always with car repairs, I wished maybe it had been less expensive, but the convenience was unbeatable and the attendants were friendly and helpful.

Very responsive, kept us informed and completed the needed repair extremely quickly. Everyone I delt with was polite and proffessional. We found them by chance while visiting DC but now they are in my list of contacts. If you need a great auto repair service in DC, I highly recommend Tenleytown Automative!

Highly recommend Tenleytown auto. I just bought a car and took it here because they had great reviews. They very quickly identified issues that needed to be fixed and some that were just recommendations. Dropped car off without appointment at 8 am. and work was finished by 4 pm. Great, complete service. Explained why car needed rotors too. I was skeptical because I m an old motorhead. Will definitely be darkening their doorway again albeit next time with an appointment.Service: TiresService: Tires

I think these guys are great. They have had ample opportunity to overcharge me and haven t. I really like their online system seeing and approving work. They ve always helped me out in a pinch. They re in a random location but don t let that worry you! As always top-notch service! Have been here several times and all my concerns have always been addressed and through the courtesy inspection I was made aware of different issues with both of our cars which we had fixed and we are very happy with it. Highly recommended.

Tenleytown Automotive was super-quick and efficient. I dropped off overnight and they had a comprehensive estimate in my email first thing in the morning. (Authorizing was easy, too.) Then the work was done by the end of the day. (They're also very close to the bus stop, for easy access.) Thanks! :)

I ve used Tenleytown Automotive to service my 22 year old Jeep Wrangler for the last 3 years. I appreciate the fact that they take time to explain what is going on with my car. It s almost like show and tell. My car battery could not have picked a better place to die all of a sudden! After pumping gas at the station, I had the unfortunate experience of hearing clicks when trying to start my car again. Stuck at one of the pumps, I went to the cashier to report my situation. At first he was unsure he could help since it was late in the day, and then out of nowhere one of the technicians from Tenleytown Auto came out, inspected, the situation, and changed my battery on the spot! The friendly and super quick service was amazing and appreciated! In all, the entire impromptu experience took 20 minutes. I highly recommend them to anyone who values incredible service from experienced people willing to go the extra mile to provide the best service out there!

Had a disturbing experience at this automotive garage. I filled up my vehicle at the Exxon $80 and parked to get change for the tire machine and when I got back someone had put a giant sticker on the car window as if I was parked illegally. I went in and expressed my frustration and the man running the auto shop was rude and had no care for anyone filling up or using the air machine. No customer service skills nor people skills! I meant everyone choice word I said back to him in response. The man I spoke to worked at the automotive garage not the Exxon.Service: Tires

Best customer service I've ever encountered at a shop. They were so accommodating and truly concerned about the vehicle.
