Went early Saturday morning and was in and out quickly and no problem. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Honestly I was preparing self for a long wait and rude staff but my experience was completely opposite. Only inspection station in DC but by far the best I've been to in 6 states.

Every time I visit the DC DMV and in particular the Half Street inspection station I come away happier than I arrived. The staff here are efficient and friendly and I'm always in and out faster than I could ever expect.

Went at 720am on a Saturday and was done in less than 10 mins. Very efficient and all staff were friendly. No need to bring or show any documents.

Pleasant and surprisingly fast service. I went there for inspection after 2pm Friday and it was pretty empty, was in and out in under 10mins. All employees very pleasant & friendly!

I have been to the Half Street Inspection Station many, many times over the years, and it s always super fast and totally professional without exception. Completely painless experience that runs like clockwork with impeccable service. Literally in and out within a couple of minutes at most. The most recent trip was no exception. D Angelo was fantastic to deal with-very friendly and very efficient-and, once again, had my inspection sticker in a flash. Wonderful experience!

Went to get our infant car seat installed here this morning. Had a great experience. Mr. Walker, Leonard and Brittany were fantastic - so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Feel much more confident knowing that was done correctly.

It would have been nice to get my car inspected before work! Their time says it opens at 6 but yet they don t open up on time at all! So anyone trying to get it out the way during the time it says it open! Will be short and a Waiste of time! They don t open the lot until a little after 7 .. and that s their fall hours! It s not fall yet.

I ve come to this inspection station for every inspection over the last few decade as well as a car seat installation check recently. Everyone who has helped me is incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. They make the experience incredibly easy and even enjoyable

My inspection here was so fast, I blinked and almost missed it. No joke: I was in and out in 3 minutes. Everyone was so friendly. I went on a Thursday at 9:45 am. Highly recommend this location!

I was in and out in less than 10 min. The only reason it took even that long was the personable conversation I had with Herb. Great service, super quick, professional, great crew working this location. It's rare to have to do something with the DMV and having an enjoyable time doing it. These employees make that a standard.

It was a Saturday around 12:00 when I arrived and the line moved quickly. When it was my turn the machine would not read info from my car. The attendant was patient, tried a second handheld device, and called for a supervisor. The supervisor was nicer than the attendant. He went out of his way by trying himself on a separate lane that he opened just to let me know it was my car and not their machine. Even though I didn't pass I got A+ service and treated like they were trying to help me not just move along. Best fail ever.

I used the self service kiosk July 15th and I did not received inspection sticker in the mail. I was able to go into the station and easily retrieve my sticker at their office. I recommend going to the inspection station instead of the kiosk. I drove in at 6:15am and each worker I spoke with were helpful and incredibly friendly.

Inspections here are so efficient and fast. I was in Lane 3 today and all three individuals I encountered were so polite and kind. The efficiency, positivity, and kindness were so appreciated. Thank you!!

The service staff here are very nice. Unfortunately they need to update their hours of operation online and on the sign outside. It says they are open untill 2pm on Fridays and Saturday spring and summer and says untill 3pm in fall/winter. I have come the last two days at 2pm and nothing they are closed. I don't understand why it's so hard to update :( extremely difficult to follow the law and get my car inspected when they can't up they right hours of operation up. People take off work following the hours you guys place online and it costs gas money, time, and lost wages to get over here, just to have them closed. Again the staff was incredibly nice the last time I came over here but man come on.

Sept 9, 2023 update: Went for an inspection at 10 am and it was 15 minutes in and out. Awesome and so nice.****I have only had excellent experiences getting my car inspected here. Whoever runs this station's operations is amazing because this place is incredibly efficient. The last time I went for an inspection was December 2019 and I didn't have an appointment. I was there before they opened and didn't realize a long line had already formed. I got in the line late and I was still impressed with how fast I was done. Thank you for making a government service we all can be incredibly proud of.
