i spent about 800$ here just for the car to break down the next day the starter they replaced and wires are fried i had to take it to the jeep dealership horrible service here smh.

Excellent customer service. As soon as you walk in the door you re greeted with a smile and they re ready to listen. Not only is this a business of respect and integrity, but they are here to help. If you need your car serviced, I recommend them 10 out of 10.

Check your car before leaving, I found the corner of my back seat damage and after several attempts to get them to correct it, I had to pay for someone to fix it, still wondering why they couldn't take their time and remove the seat.

I was referred to Sal s garage by a very satisfied customer that said Sal s was well versed in working on European cars and especially BMW s. Being concerned that my engine was making a horrible noise, they recommend I tow it in to not cause further damage. Once they did a diagnosis, the owner did some research and found that what he thought the problem to be was actually covered under an extended warranty he found on a service bulletin. They recommended to take to the dealer and even scheduled the tow and key drop off. The work was covered under warranty by the dealer.Sal s SAVED me THOUSANDS. It s clear they take care of their Customers and my son and I will be loyal BMW customers for all our service needs at Sal s

We've been taking our cars to Sal's for 10 years and only have good things to say about the garage and its owner, Ernie. Honest, on time and always willing to fit you into the schedule, he is a good guy. We trust him and the work he does, whether it's on our domestic or foreign cars. He will pick your car up at your house, work, wherever and bring it back or drive you where you need to go. You can't go wrong with this kind of service or this small business.

A coworker and fellow BMW owner recommended Sal's to me since I had grown tired of my local mechanic always advising me to take it to a BMW dealer after getting back codes they didn't understand. Although I live in Philly I decided to try Sals since I work in Wilmington. I have been there twice and in both issues my repairs were made on a timely fashion and thoroughly. Candida is a sweetheart and Mr. Ernie thoroughly explained by issue. What I appreciate is they look into the mechanics of the car for issues. Not simply put it on a machine, determine its _____ and suggest replacing it. Mr. Ernie knows cars to the point I believe he could take one completely apart and put it back together. I would recommend them to anyone who wants an honest mechanic, but to anyone with a foreign or luxury car if you don't want to get overcharged by a dealership, check out Sal's!

I have been using Sal's garage for the past 13 years. Candida and Ernie are always nice and the work is always reliable and done in a timely matter. Our family will NOT take our cars any where else. If you want honest, reliable, family owned and local this is the place to go.

I have been in the car business for 20 years. I am qualified to give a professional opinion, as well as a consumer's opinion, since I brought my own vehicle in for service. Sal's Garage reasonably priced, well organized, efficient, friendly, and gets the vehicle fixed right the first time. I highly recommend Sal's Garage.

Earnie told me I needed wheel balancing, change of tires, front brakes and an alignment to fix my steering wheel shake. Did all that, cost me almost $1000 and still didn t fix the issue.. took the car back a few times until they stopped picking up my calls to reschedule, took out the wheels just to realize that they had no weights on them. A different professional did the wheel balancing and zeroed in on all the tires and problem was fixed.

For 10 years, Sal's has been working on our cars, including a BMW, Mercedes, Chevy and Infiniti. In all my years as a car owner, I have never found mechanics more straight-forward, honest, reliable and helpful. They only do work if it is necessary and hold off on any repair that can wait. Trustworthy and honest, Ernie always puts my family's best interest ahead of his bottom line. That is a rare thing in this day in age.

I've been dealing with Ernie at Sal's for years! He is honest, knowledgeable and efficient at repairs and diagnosing problems. He works with you in explaining (for those of us who are intellectually deficient in car mechanics) things to you. I've been driving Volvo's for many years and for those years Ernie is the only one for me. He is very reputable.

My initial experience was good. However, this last time they worked on my vehicle, when I got it back there was another problem. Kept telling me to bring it back because he was so backed up with other cars. I dropped off my car at least 4 times. Three weeks later, I still haven't gotten the problem fixed. I am the only bad review I see but I wouldn't recommend using them again. This is the last time.

I have been going to Andrew for help with my vehicles for the past 3 years now. Always helpful, always honest, and quick service. I would recommend Sals garage and the guys there over any other shop around the newcastle, wilmington, Newark and other surrounding cities.

My aunt tool her jeep to this mechanic and her fly wheel was broken, so she paid to have it replaced so 2 days later it ripped apart so she took it back to the shop, they then proceeded to try and charge her for their mistake and she refused to pay because she just picked it up from this shop it should work and if not they have to fix it. So then they told her that they were not able to work on it due to all of the cars ahead of her so they held her car for a whole month before they fixed it and it still didnt work so she took it back again and they told her they did not know what was wrong but they could not refund her money because the work was done.

Explained things well however they quoted me $3500 for a repair and the dealership is repairing my car for $1940! Quite a difference and can't help but feel like they were trying to take advantage of a crappy situation.
