I was in Delaware trying to pick up parts at the local Porsche dealership when my driveshaft came undone and I was unable to drive back home. I contact local shops in the area and was recommended to Pinter's. Contacted the shop and they told me they would take a look at the car once it arrives.Car arrived around 4:30 pm at which point the mechanics started assessing the damage. Chris suggested that if the dealer had the bolts to complete the job, I could be good to go. Luckily for me, the dealer did and I was back on the road in no time.Just wanted to thank the team (Gill, Chris, and Mr. John) at Pinter Autohaz for the help getting the car sorted and a few good laughs to calm the anxiety I had. This shop is truly a diamond in the rough with their amazing customer service and vast knowledge of Audis. Definitely highly recommended!!!Service: Transmission

They will not tell me exactly what s wrong with my car. Just keep telling me it s fine and every time I pay them and get it back it do the exact same thing. It took me awhile to catch on what they were doing.

I don't trust many shop's with my car but after seeing and talking with owner and technicians they put any worry to rest. Not only do they highly qualified to work on Audi vehicles but their customer service was beyond my high expectations. They did great quality work, saved me hundreds on unnecessary work from dealership and had it done quick. I'm a mechanic myself and my standards are pretty high they by far exceeded them. Thank you to the great TechsService: General repairs & maintenance

John and staff know their stuff about Audis. I have a few things to get done to my 2009 Audi A5, but they have done great work so far!! I will be back to finish up on some more things needing completion! Thank you for the conversations when I come in, John. lol I also appreciate you and the guy's patience with figuring things out and explaining them to me!!

Highly recommend this shop. Other than the high level of expertise and knowledge they provide, the team does not try to gouge. They have always recommended less expensive options for any kind of work. I will not take my vehicles to another shop because of the manner in which they conduct business.

John and Chris fixed our car that had emissions problems. Initially took it to another shop that charge me and did not fix the problem. Took the car to pinter autohaz and not only did they fix the car, they also took the car thru inspection lane and made sure it passed car runs perfect now. Thank you John And Chris!!

We have had several Audi cars in our family. We take them all to the Audi shop. John Pinterest, the owner, is honest, hardworking and reliable. I have never felt that we were overcharged or underserved. In fact on occasion he has talked us out of what he thought was unnecessary work. He has never been wrong. This place is better than any of the dealers at a much more reasonable cost!

I previously gave this shop a 5 star review.Yes, this shop does good work but I will never visit again. I've witnessed the owner treat customers increasingly more nasty over the years. Today he slammed a door and cursed at me because I let him know I was there before another customer that he started servicing. I'll gladly go to the dealership or many of the other great mechanics in the area. I choose professionalism and feeling safe over F words and saving a couple of dollars here.

John has always been a great guy to deal with. Does excellent work and has years of experience on Audi and VW. I've sent several of my friends who have owned Audi and VW's over the years and they all love his service.

First word of advice - don t buy a used Audi. It may look good on the outside but underneath it is just someone else problem waiting to become your problem. A used Audi is like a bad girl friend. She will always let you down and cost you a lot of money. She will put you through the 5 stages of grief on a monthly basis; Always ending with the realization that you have too much money invested in her to go back.If you are still reading, then like me, you bought the used Audi. The Audi Shop is the best. Hands down, John knows what he is doing. He will give you good service at a fair price. John does not mince words and he will tell you exactly what your car problems are and how he will fix them. If you own an Audi, your problems are many.Without John and The Audi Shop, it would not make sense to drive a late model Audi. His shop is the best independent shop there is. Servicing DE, MD,PA & NJ. Give him a call. You will not be disappointed.

This is the only place I would take my Audi. I have since purchased a different car brand and wished he worked on all cars because him and his team are the only people I trust. He told me what my older Audi was worth for a trade in and that was exactly the amount I received. They are honest and reliable and the prices are half the cost of what you would pay at a dealer without any additional up sells.

We love John and this place is always the best for any Audi service. The service here is far better than Audi Wilmington.

I've been taking my car here for five years--john runs a great shop. His prices are always lower than the competition, so return customers keep him busy. The only drawback is that he doesn't always find time to get in touch after he's looked at or finished your car, so you need to call to check in. On the bright side, he's never tried to fix things that weren't broken to drum up business, and he even tells you when a broken part isn't essential in case you're trying to eke out a couple extra years from your aging Audi or Volkswagen.

Initially gave this place 5 stars 4 months ago after changing my tires with the shop. Reasoning was because of the pricing and how respectful the mechanics were, but I'm now giving Pinter Autohaz 1 star for the customer service experience just displayed. The owner, John, lacks customer engagement skills and has completely destroyed my previous experience with his shop.I came to schedule an appointment to replace my brakes and rotors, he responded with a slurry of F bombs as to how he doesn't schedule appointments anymore because "customers continuously cancel their appointments or don't show up" and that this morning he had two customer no shows. Still trying to understand how I did this to him.Long story short, John should retire if he cannot manage his emotions. He obviously is hanging on to a string and this will eventually emanate throughout his business. I do not appreciate the language and how he manages his business with paying customers. He lost my business. There are other places that provide affordable service without sacrificing customer service.

Really good service and price, I just had regular filter replacement, cannot comment on their skills. But I guess they are doing great job and Audi is sueing them for their shop name. Must attract lots of people away from the dealer.

I do not write bad reviews EXCEPT in extreme cases of customer service neglect. Our saga is too long to post in a review. In summary, this mechanic had our car for over 30 days. He started work on the car BEFORE getting permission and not once did he proactively call to communicate updates. We paid $3,388 (due to a timing chain tensioner issue and bent valves) after 30 days of having car towed to shop. Less than 3 hours after paying $3,388, the car engine completely failed while driving home. We went straight back to their shop and informed mechanic we had to abandon our car. Mechanic had us call their towing company and informed towing company and us that Pinter would absorb the towing cost. This promise was then revoked and we had to pay saying it wasn t their fault as the alternator failed. This mechanic lacked the ability to proactively communicate costs and manage expectations . even after we informed the owner to CALL first BEFORE starting work. This mechanic failed to see the duress we were under through the customer s eyes . that when you DO NOT HAVE your vehicle, it is extremely stressful trying to manage logistics and finances. Not once was there a phone call from the owner or shop. We had to call EACH WEEK for an update.. even after his mechanics told us that he was being left messages of our concerns and frustration. Not once was there an attempt of concern or gracious customer service to feel like you are being heard or cared for. We finally got our car back 36 days later. The full chronological details are too long to post in a review. I am happy to share with anyone who asks.

If you have an Audi or VW out of warranty (heck even to check the stealership's work on a warranty job) take your car here to get it serviced. John and his staff know these cars better than any dealership tech inside and out. Like someone said here, owning an aging Audi will likely be a losing proposition, but John makes it possible. I'm on my second Audi and have a love hate relationship. I love the way they ride when they run well but hate that I can't move to far from the Audi shop to make owning one possible. Correct diagnosis, correct parts, best advice on alternatives, best price for pro level work, just go there.

John and his staff are a great bunch with really good knowledge of Audis and VWs. Definitely the most honest with what s needed as well as pricing since day one. Take it to the dealership if you want to be pampered and treated like royalty but trust me, you re paying for it! They may even suggest add-ons deemed essential if you re lucky and appear to have deep pockets. If you want your car fixed honestly with no Fufu dust sprinkled on you, give this place your business.

My car was miss firing and I've taken it to other places. Every where I went wanted $100 to just look. My a/c wasn't working as well. Went in here, they right away took my car, 20 minutes later my car was working like new. Only cost 45 bucks. People in there were great. John was hilarious. They really know what they are doing. only problem is they only work on audi and volkswagen. I wish they did other brands. I'd definitely recommend this to everyone

Very honest people. He did quote me the wrong price (he was off by $250). With regards to pricing he's about $100 cheaper than the dealer. However, if you can find a coupon for your dealer they will be cheaper. However, I'm pleased with the service on my car.

Is there a ZERO !!!!After all the good review I've seen and heard I figured I was taking my car to the BEST . Oh how WRONG I was .With this continuing saga , they - The Audi Shop or he - John owner or manager has had my car all summer stating a time issue meaning hogging up his shop , along with being baffled is the reason for it not being done . Alone with that this all summer long stretch , they or he has NEVER called me I find myself having to go visit my car as if it's an inmate. I've been given no estimates , no time frame , simply no communication .I find myself stuck because really EVERYONE is recommending this shop this is where my car should be , but I mself have seen NOTHING to resemble what there are talking about

Great mechanic. He knows Audis and VWs inside and out. He doesn't charge diagnostic fee to scan your car. I have been taking my Audi and VW to him for several years. He is very honest with his work. Best Audi/VW mechanic in the tristate area.
