I brought my vehicle to this location in need of my brakes to function properly for safety. Charged me damn near $1,000 to get my back brakes, rotors, caliper replacements and labor. My front brakes were mainly the issue and they recommended the back brakes to get done. My car feels the same exact way as when I first brought the car to the shop. All of that just to still not being able to drive at least safely on the road until paying for another $400 to get the fronts done. Who really pays damn near $1500 just for breaks??? Definitely feel taken advantage of as far as my time and money. Told them I had a better deal elsewhere for half the price and asked if they can stop before beginning service since they needed the parts that had to be ordered. They refused to put my car back the same way it started forcing me to have to pay all the fees and making my car unable to drive to the next location. I basically got robbed and my problem was not even fully resolved. I m gonna learn how to put my own brakes on and will never pay a large fee of that price again. Or at least have my own parts purchased and just get a maintenance shop to do the labor. Happy holidays they say, definitely a slap in the face and hands in my pocket in my mind.

Went to Pep Boys on 202 and found out it was closed. Except for service. So we went to the Pep Boys on Philly Pike in Claymont, and they were great. The service was great. Definitely a smaller store than 202, but we were able to purchase what was needed. Thanks for the good customer service.

This pepboys in particular was amazing. Car was rattling on a return trip home and was the only place we could find that was open. The staff took care of us quickly, explained all the issues, what the charges would be, and gave us options on how we wanted to proceed. After a quick fix, they had us moving on our way. Big thanks to them, due to their professionalism we are only using pepboys mechanics going forward.

They are literally .02 miles from my house. Very efficient service. I was a little rattled with pricing but the car is in much better shape. Manager was really nice and professional.

I had a tire problem so I took my SUV to Pep Boys. I got a quick assessment and was scheduled for service the next day. Arriving at my scheduled time, the mechanic talked me thru my issue, made several recommendations, and helped me settle on the one that fit my situation. I was heading back home in less than 90 minutes with no tire problems. It was quick and the price reasonable.

This guy named Raymond hooked me up. I was in a pinch with getting new tires mounted on my truck. And he was able to squeeze me in on a busy day. Definitely will be coming back to the Philly pike pep boys in the future.

NEW TIRE INSTALLATION. Simple 45 min job tuned into 3 hours. Apparently the worker had trouble removing tire off the wheel ..??? They try or did something else for 2.5 hours until manager went in and told them how to do their job. They did not bother wipe out sealing residue off the new tires so it looked like crap and did not look professional. Only saw it next day since they finished installation after dark. Another dumb thing they done is sending me my FREE report about my bold tires and telling me to replace it... I WAS THERE TO GET NEW TIRES.I gave PEP BOYS another chance. Brought different vehicle for ABS inspection. They did not have right equipment to perform the testing and give me truck back without any work done. Referring to visit dealership. Wasted time again without any results.This was a last time me bring business to this place.Would not recommend.

I had brought my vehicle to this location to due to my breaks pushing further down than usually. Also my ABS light and break light was on. After being told what the issue was and sitting for almost 5 hours and paying $480.My breaks still felt the same and was told some further bleeding needs to be done. I say ok and leave my car until the next day. The manager contacts me and states that my car now needs front brakes and rotors.I found that odd because the day before after waiting patiently for hours not once was that was mentioned to me. In fact I was told by the person working on my vehicle that the breaks and rotors look fine and that I just needed a left rear caliper and they recommended that I get the right done as well.Due to me already paying $480 I didn't want to spend that amount again.I went to retrieve my vehicle only for the ABS light to still be present and told the reason it's on is because something is wrong with my rear wheel sensor. Keep in my my breaks was still feeling somewhat the same as when I first took my car to this location.I have been to this location before and have had decent experiences unfortunately I feel robbed because I paid for a job that did not get resolved.Tread lightly when bringing your car here, to each his own.

My experience at the location was great, but the lack of info and option to save money while speaking with a gentleman named Raymond was otherwise. I knew what I needed done, and he opted out of telling me I would save money buy NOT supplying my own parts was a bit distasteful.

Seriously only ever go here as a last resort. The fact that our bill drastically changed within an hour of us calling corporate and telling them we felt like we were being taken advantage of and everything felt super suspicious through the whole process a major red flag.

I ordered 4 tires from Giga Tires and had them shipped to the PepBoys on 729 Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington, DE for installation on Sat 01/27/24 at 9:00 am.Even though I prepaid for the tire installation service (through Giga), the employee,Raymond, was unable to process the PO. He was very rude and disrespectful to me. He made me wait an hour before he told me that I needed to come back on Monday (to have my tires installed) because he needed to contact Giga during their business hours for payment authorization.I called Giga on Monday and I was informed that Raymond processed the payment incorrectly and there was no need for my installation to be delayed until Monday. Note I stayed home for work for nothing!!!When I dropped my car at Pep Boys on Monday, Raymond had an attitude and accused me of informing Giga that Pep Boys refused my service (which is not true). I told Giga that Pep Boys would not perform the service until they received payment. When I went to pick up my car, Raymond was very rude to my boyfriend and I. He said my tires were cheap and his team had a hard time installing them. He claimed my rim was broken (when I dropped off the car) so I went to the car to investigate. When I started the car, I noticed the low tire pressure light was on. I immediately returned to Pep Boys to report the issue. He claimed the low tire pressure light was on when I dropped off the car. He also claimed that two of my pressure sensors were broken. Note, he did NOT call me beforehand to inform me of these issues. My rim and sensors were NOT broken before I went to Pep-Boys. The Toyota Dealer performed a multipoint inspection on my car less than 2 weeks ago and did NOT identify those issues. The dealer only identified that 2 of my tires were bad.

Excellent customer service, I came in with I would call a crisis tire was blown out beyond repair and these great individuals Ray, Ms.Jill, Jaida, Joy came to my rescue, prices were great for a full set they all had patience of a saint (car has a ton of issues regarding the tire) they were amazing 6 out 5 stars!!!!!

Had my front brakes replaced. Andre did a great job of explaining what was going on, as well as letting me know what other issues I'd be dealing with down the road so I could prepare for them. Definitely a quality experience. Being from out of state, it's also a bonus having a nationwide warranty.

We had an emergency tire repair and this was the most convenient location for service. We were highly pleased by the kind and professional support from Abby as well as the customer service - even staying past open hours to make sure we had same day service. Highly recommend.

I usually dread going to any mechanic but this Pep Boys location was a pleasant surprise. Andre worked the front service area and was very helpful and knowledgeable. He kept me well informed while I was there. I got 4 brand new tires installed. Seven was the mechanic and she was great as well. Will definitely be going back if my car needs any services.

Place is bad. Bad customer service. I went in there for an oil change and my brakes checked. The oil change was selected by the tech as the most expensive. Inspection on my car half assd. I was told to bring it back when someone there with more knowledge could check my brakes. My cv axle is leaking grease, he showed me, but couldn t tell me what it means, how to fix, the cost, anything but soon I ll hear a clicking noise and my car won t accelerate and to bring it back when someone with more knowledge could go over it. The inspection was just filled out no maintenance done. My tires weren t even inflated. After I got my car back I was told just to bring it back when the guy with the knowledge was there and it cost me 72.00. No tire rotation, they didn t have my air filter and I could do it myself , I was t even told how many miles till my next oil change. Just stay away from here

Unfortunately I went there for a last minute oil change, the staff was nice and accommodating. However they left a gasket Lewis on my oil filter on my car league more than 4 quarts of oil and could ve damaged my engine. When I took it back and hold them and showed them the video of the oil leaking they promised to remediate right away. However again they failed and it took them three hours to get it redone. Never again.

Good experience overall. Nothing over the top or noteworthy but I was getting a tire replaced so no real opportunity to be wowed. All I ask is that I am treated fairly and the business is honest and acts with integrity. For that reason, I was completely satisfied with my experience at this PB location. I was underpromised in regards to an ECD for my tire replacement and it was finished earlier than expected. I paid exactly what I was quoted which is not always the case with a trip to the old mechanic. I wasn t badgered or told to get things I didn t need and was in and out in 5 minutes of walking in and the same on my return to pick up my wheel and new tire. I asked if they could put the wheel back on my vehicle despite me only leaving the tire and was told they could with no charge but how quickly that could be done would depend on how busy they were at that time. I understand that completely and chose not to have them do so for my own time constraints.To summarize- I can refer anyone I know there and not lose any sleep at night in doing so.

I made a last minute call to have my oil changed and Doug said I'd need to leave it for awhile, but to bring it right over they could fit it in that day. I anticipated a several hour wait and as there are several shops and restaurants near there has no problem filling in the time. They are very professional and friendly and texted me when it was ready. The shop itself was organized and neatly arranged. Highly recommend!

Wonderful customer service from Matt and the crew. Had my oil change done quickly and even made sure to give me a coupon for it even though I didn't present one. Will definitely be using this location for all my future services!
