Wish I could give them a higher rating but I just can t. Dropped my Tahoe off after an extremely long wait. I get called after almost 2 weeks to pick up my vehicle and find the worst repair job possible on my inner door well. (Picture attached) I tell the guy that I am not signing off because of the poor work. He tried to explain that the whole panel would need to be cut and restored. That wasn t my issue, this was an insurance job from someone that hit me. They then agreed for me to leave my vehicle there for a proper repair. A few days later I get called back and the repair was done perfectly. Just as it should ve been done from the beginning. I then start moving stuff from my rental back into my Tahoe and notice that it s covered in dust inside. (Picture attached) After not having my truck for almost 3 weeks I decide to just continue moving everything and deal with it myself later. I told the woman at the desk that I was not happy with how dirty the inside was but that I would clean it since I couldn t be without my vehicle any longer. She was extremely nice and professional but still didn t seem too caring about the shambles it was left in. Ultimately it took me about 2 hours to clean the interior from all the dust.I will have to give the guys credit though they repaired a small area on my front bumper and the major fix on the outer rear driver door flawlessly the first time around. I just wish they would ve done that with all the repairs.Update: My vehicle does not move much from the drive way. In that position it gets sun mostly from the front to the back. Today I had my vehicle parked with the sun hitting the drivers side. I had a coworker approach me and ask what was wrong with my rear quarter panel and door. When I went over to look I noticed swirls marks from poor detailing. (See picture attached) I m beyond fed up with this chop shop. SEND YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!

Vehicle was not finished as promised and received no updates. I had to call. When I notified them of problems, they scheduled me out many days later. Said they had people shortages. Asked to speak with either of the Ellmores, and never heard from them.Heard from the desk lady that the tech was getting frustrated because VW was difficult to work on, and the tech said the same thing to me in person. I told him I don't want to hear that. I came here to have my car fixed, not made worse.Paint job was great, but received very poor communication regarding the side view mirror that had the blinker lens replaced. The glass was installed off center, and the mirror will not adjust up and down, and now also makes a loud sound when activated. I was told there was some type of glue elsewhere that did not come close to the area in question (not notified of the problem until after I had problems later and already PAID).The gas flap mechanism was installed upside down. Their own OBD scan did not indicate a problem with the airbag, and now the airbag warning light is on. The car never had problems starting, but a few days after picking the car up it would not start.There are 2 missing nuts on the rear bumper which had to be taken off to get to the fender which they say were missing already (not notated on bill before being PAID), but even if that's true one would expect a little decency. Conflicting information about what they will fix, and refusals to even research the airbag warning light issue. My impression is they feel inconvenienced dealing with the problems they created, and would not accept full responsibility in the end.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I have been using Ellmore's for more than ten years as my body shop - and I will NEVER go anywhere else. I just had my car fixed from a hit and run, and it's a Jeep with a rare color, yet they matched it perfectly. It was cleaned and shined up like a new penny!In addition to that, the staff is WONDERFUL, especially Niki at the front desk. Over my many years as a car owner I've been to a good number of body shops in the Wilmington area, but now I'll only go to Ellmores Auto Body. They do great work for a reasonable price and they couldn't be any nicer!

They installed a mirror and when we had an issue they resolved and replaced free of charge and around my schedule. Great place to have work done.

If your car is ever towed you'll be blessed if Ellmore does the towing.
