We had our food truck engine repaired at the shop. When I tell you these guys do great work, I don t just mean mechanically. They have outstanding customer service, provided me with picture updates of the work, reliable tow service, the whole 9 yards. Couldn t have asked for a better experience and grateful for the fast accurate work. I d definitely use theses guys again!

I highly recommend Fred Drake's Automotive for your car/truck repair needs. I was stranded right before the William J. Roth bridge toll plaza on Rte. 1N. I am so thankful my insurance paid to tow me to Fred Drake's Automotive. I got there just before closing. The owner Fred Drake stayed with me while I arranged for a car to pick me up. He even allowed me to use a shop desk chair outside while I waited for my uber. My car is running great now due to the expertise of the mechanics there. Customer service and communication was great. I would go there again for service and/or repairs.

These guys saved the day for my wife and I when a turkey vulture took out our windshield on rt.1 headed to the beach. They had us towed, glass replaced and back on the road in under 3 hours. We were able to enjoy the rest of our day and are very thankful for the service they provided.

I recently moved here to Townsend DE from NJ. I have 3 cars and car care was a big concern for me as I don't know any mechanics shops around here. I visited couple of mechanics around here but was not very happy from their work. Finally I got an advertisement from Fred Drak and give it a shot. Called them for an appointment and went there on my schedule date and time. I found them extremely professional and caring. They treat me with respect and very good customer care. Changed the oil and charged the exact amount what they listed in the advertisement. Rates very standard. I will go back if needed. I am very satisfied..

The guys there are very knowledgeable, about even the little details of my vehicle. They could of charged me for services I requested, but informed me that it wasn't necessary for the issue I was having with the vehicle. I definitely appreciate the honesty and integrity the company showed. It's rare these days, especially in that industry.

Unbelievable service from Fred Drake Automotive today. My car broke down, and I called in a panic from the side of Route 13. Buddy was there so quickly with the tow truck, and they went to work on my car as soon as we got back to the shop. Everyone here was wonderful, and I can't say enough about this family-owned business. I trust them with both of my cars.

Chase has amazing customer service skills. I particularly had a time schedule for my vehicle to be repaired due to military schedule... and he and his team made it happen. The other part was he addressed all my concerns and explained the parts that were needed for repair... and made my vehicle way better in drivability. Definitely am coming back for all repairs and maintenance.

This review is a month late. I had my SUV serviced here with reservation as I normally take my SUV to the dealership. I took a chance and was not disappointed and will be returning for additional services again. The online appointment schedule was easy to use and if Drake could not accommodate that date, they'd be in touch asap to reschedule.I dropped my SUV and all staff were pleasant upon greeting including My Drake who appeared out of nowhere . His staff catered to my needs and was in touch with any additional services if necessary. They took photos and sent them to me to update on the vehicle's status. Drake even allowed me to pick up my SUV after hours which worked out great for me. My vehicle runs smooth and the price was in my budget versus the dealership price with same results. A family owned business, that treated me and my family like family ! If you have any car issues and are looking for amazing customer service as well as a mechanic/automotive place you can trust, this is the place. The receptionist Ms Sandi as well as Mr. Kevin, Mr. Fred Drake, his son Kyle Drake and the mechanics I interacted with were all amazing, professional and understanding. Fred Drake Automotive is trustworthy,reasonable and just a good all around company to due business with.We are new to the neighborhood and it is a pleasure to be down the street from our extended family at Fred Drake Automotive!!Thank you guys

I have always went to get my car done at the dealership. I am a creature of habit, and going to a new place is a different level of anxiety, I looked at the reviews & decided to give them a try. I am glad I did, everyone was helpful & I was able to get a ride to & from my home. They communicated properly when my vehicle was done. They explained thoroughly what was done on my vehicle & put in chronological order on what is needed to get done next. Also check their website for some specials they offer. Thank you for making my experience a pleasant one & I will be back in the future on my maintenance for my car!

This a shout out to Fred Drakes Towing Company in Townsend, De.During the snow storm, my company truck was involved in a situation after hitting ice. John with Drakes came out to help with the recovery, this beautiful 2023 Ford was recovered with a scratch on it or a dent no I wasn t the driver, yes it was in 4x4 drive which doesn t matter with ice

Wonderful job fixing my steering wheel column. Service people finished the job in a timely manner and were efficient, too. They front desk even picked me up, once to drive me home, and once to pick me up to get my finished auto. A very convenient service, too!

I have been going to Fred Drake for years. They have been fantastic. They are really good at what they do, but most importantly, they are upfront and honest. They have gone above and beyond on a number of occasions. Highly recommend them.

First time using Fred Drake. Scheduling was easy, detailed estimates were sent via text, staff was friendly and good with calling to provide updates throughout the day and work was done quickly. Will definitely use them again.

This is a review of the customer service I received. I went in to see if they were a repair shop and cared about getting people back on the road. They seemed very nice and said they cared. I had them tow my vehicle it wouldn't start or anything. They were very careful with the tow and nice. They told me the ignition was bad. I had the ignition replaced they said it was all fixed. I picked up the car and it left me stranded several times still not starting. I called they stated to bring it back in and they would look at the car. I took off from work and went up there. They called someone out to talk to me the one that put ignition in. He stated at least three times that he was the ignition specialist. Told him about not starting again he stated that it was the remote start that was in car. He stated that he wasn't even going to look at car until I get that removed, then I could bring it back and he would look at it. I am thinking so You made a appointment for me and you aren't even going to look at it. Could have told me that without me taking off work and coming up to be told that. I left called later talked to manager he told me that he thought I just didn't like what he was telling me. Ok if that is your customer service. Long and short did get it fixed it was the pass lock system programming after ignition was done, car wasn't done right Reprogrammed the anti-thief and haven't had a problem since. So, I wouldn't go here for anything but tire oil and brakes. But I won't be back plenty places like that out there.

Did a great auto body job on my son's car due to a collision he had with a deer back in August. Finally got the car to them in mid September and was done in the beginning of November. Very kind staff. The only thing that can be improved is communication on status of the progress. Can't fault them or any auto body shop nowadays for the length of time of repair. With parts being hard to get. I realize it's really tough on everyone in the auto repair business, and I thank you.

This company gets all of my business!!! Chevy in Elkton, MD told me I needed over $1,600 worth of work. I went and got a second opinion from NU Car Chevy who told me I needed different things done. I finally came across this company on google, when I tell you they are honest they are honest! I told them everything the other car companies said I needed. I was told that I did not need ANY of these services done at all. I only needed a schedule oil change and transmission flush next time I come. They could have lied and said I needed all of the work done and did nothing to my car, but because they reassured me my car was fine and didn t charge to make sure my car is safe to drive knowing I have kids is what sold me to give allllll of my auto needs to this company!

I was having a very hard time finding someone with a fair price and Fred Drake Auto fixed my car for a quarter of what everyone else had given me and also had it fixed in a day or so,. I will be bringing my car to them for everything from now on

Fred Drake Automotive is a great Auto service group. I love the fact that they run a honest dependable business that looks out for their customers. If you take your car in for a job and it's not needed they will let you know that and not just do a job simply to earn money. I trust them and they are my chosen professional Technicians.
