This will be my second time at this shop, and each time, Al went above and beyond. Al and Ben are who I've met so far are very nice. They will take time to explain everything from service options to payment arrangements. It's nice to have met mechanics who care about their customers. Again, thank you for all you do.

I discovered R & M through a Groupon for an oil change. I was in the market for a new mechanic who is trustworthy, efficient, fairly priced, and who explains things in an easy manor. Since my oil change several months ago, I ve been back for some repairs a few times, that I couldn t pay for all in the moment. I have received the best care and fast service, along with all that I m looking for in a mechanic I ve found my new place!

Our experience was positive. Al was able to take my car in the next day, identified the problem, which another mechanic could not, was upfront about pricing and held true to his word about time frame.

I went there on Monday after the car Dealer ship gave me a long invoice of things needed on my car and told me to basically just get a new car. And it wasn t worth fixing. RM LOOKED AT THE LIST INSPECT MY CAR LET ME KNOW WHAT WAS RECOMMENDED LET ME KNOW WHAT TO GET DONE AFTER THE FIRST REPAIR AND QUOTED ME ON IT. They were very informative communicated well .

Al and his team are top notch! Not only is their pricing fair, but their work is second to none and fast! Al is great at explaining what is wrong, what is needed and the most cost effective approach. You never have to worry about being taken advantage of or price gouging. My truck will only be worked on at R&M!!!

I have been getting my truck done here for the past year They are affordable and the customer service is great when they didn t have availability the day my car broke down they made a way to get my car in the next day and out less than 24hrs. Problem solved and If you are around this area I highly recommend R and M Automotive. Not to mention if the cost of your car is pricey, they have 3rd party options for payment plans Thanks R and M Family for your dedicated professionalism

I bought my car across the street at Carmax.. they recommended R&M for any services .. I am so happy they did! Locally owned. I have been very happy with simple oil changes to more difficult work . Callibar collusion had no idea how to adjust the alignment on my car. Al had it done with no problem . I have a mini cooper . R&M is not a franchise , local , honest, tells it like is.I ve talked to other places , but i always go to R&M for the reasons above .

They do excellent work and my vehicle was ready when they originally told me it would be completed. I also received a 1yr. warranty on the repairs performed by the shop. Great job Al and thanks to Ben also for his quick responsive and help.

As someone who admittedly knows very little about cars, it's extremely important for me to know that I can trust any auto mechanic who I'm going to pay to work on my car. Al and his team have always been those people that I can trust. Reliable, professional, TRUST-WORTHY, and always very kind and honest. I'm very grateful!

This guy is a crook. Lied about everything. 800$ for a coolant leak. You should be ashamed of yourself. And held my wifes car hostage for two weeks. What comes around goes around . Terrible just terrible. And now this guy is harassing my wife on the telephone asking her to tell me to take down this review you re unbelievable and your response underneath this is lies lie after lie how do you say in business . Please don t call my wife anymore. She s upset enough as it is.

Al at R&M is great! He is responsive and very fair with his pricing. He has worked on my son's car several times and always does a great job (diagnosing the issues and fixing it quickly). We have taken the car for some difficult repairs and R&M has always done everything perfect. Great communication, excellent work and fair pricing. The only one to go to in the Newark, DE area! The service was not done. I brought my car in so they could fix the valve cover gasket. After they had "repaired" it, they charged me $395 and told me to wait 2-3 weeks to see if there were any more oil spills, so I waited and oil continued to leak. I said ok no problem, I'll bring the vehicle back, so I brought it back. Then they told me that the gasket was still leaking oil because of a hose, so when I brought it back a second time they "cleaned" the hose, and added tint to the oil, no extra charge. Then they told me to wait another 2-3 weeks to see if it leaked, so I did, and it was still leaking!I finally decided to bring it to another mechanic shop and they fixed/replaced the valve cover gasket, and told me the R&M had not changed or fixed anything. I called R&M and asked if I could get a refund and they refused, they told me to bring my car in AGAIN so they could check it out, but I refused because now I don't trust them with my vehicle, and what was there for them to check out?... the other mechanic already fixed it.I respect mechanics work, and will 100% pay full price if they fix the vehicle, but they didn't! They did not have integrity or fairness. It felt like I had been robbed.

Got my oil changed here. A few days later I noticed my car was leaking oil via oil stains in my driveway. I called R&M to tell them about it. They told me to bring it in and after assessing the situation told me it would cost $310 to fix the leak and would take them 3 hours of work.I took it home and worked on it with my 16 year old neighbor and we fixed it in 15 minutes. All we had to do was tighten a bolt where the leak was.I m not a negative person in any way and never want to make accusations that I can t back up, but it s just too coincidental that I I ve never had an oil leak and then days after I get the oil changed a bolt ends up loose on the oil pan.The pictures are the original oil leak; & the second picture is after we cleaned and tightened the bolt and let it sit for 24 hours... no oil leak.Service: Oil change

I finally found an honest, professional and low cost mechanic. I have tried four different automotive shops within the past two years and each one of them either tried to overcharge me or give me the wrong diagnoses. I wish I had known about R&M sooner.

I couldn't be happier. I came from another mechanic who ripped me off so needless to say I was wary but but I'm so happy I ended up here at R & M. They were very honest, got the work done fast, and kept me informed the whole time. I can't believe how nice my jeep drives now. It feels brand new. I will absolutely be back and will recommend R & M to all my friends and family. The honesty was the biggest thing that made me so happy, I was told my transmission was going bad by another garage and when I came here they didn't take advantage of me, they told me the truth that it was something way less expensive. That means so much.Edit-2.5 years later and I'm still a happy customer at R&M, Al always takes care of me. Having a mechanic you can trust is so valuable.

Ive known some mechanics. But only a few were alright. But i just found one that im going to become a regular at. R&M motors. What can i say. The prices were great. The work that was done was top notch. Had a 92 buick with the r-12 system. This shop was the only place who would even touch it let alone convert the whole thing to r-134a. And talk about service. They converted my whole car in almost 6 hours. Never have i ever had mechanical work done that fast before and actually have a high quality to it as well.My only complaint is i didnt find this place before when i needed more work.20/10 would go here againScratch that.Will go here again

Just moved to the area ...I Google r n m to replace a sensor al answered n gave me my price n took my car in the next day I met Ben n it was a blessing very pleasant explained everything in detail and gave me recommendations had my car back in time for me to go to work I can't thank them enough

I have had so many issues with my jeep and shops lying and keeping my car for days and weeks on end. Not R and M! I came same day and I picked up same day, they charged reasonable labor hours and completed all that was needed to be done and also advised on preventative maintenance. Gem of a mechanic shop.

After trying to figure out the power issue my vehicle was experiencing for over a year, and taking it to my regular mechanic each time to only be told the issue didn t occur when they had the vehicle so they couldn t determine where the problem was coming from, I was finally referred to R&M auto by the provider of my vehicle s extended warranty.I had my vehicle towed to their shop because it kept cutting off on me, and at times not starting back up without a jump, so I was afraid to drive it there myself for fear of it cutting off on me. That was the best thing I could have decided to do because the source of the power issue was identified and fixed in no time.I often feel like the possibility of being overcharged for car repairs is probable but at no time did I feel taken advantage of at all.The mechanics kept me updated on the status of my vehicle findings and were clear about the plan to resolve the problem. I was even given a discount on a portion of the original total for the repairs, which in my opinion was still not too much, for the peace of mind I now have.My vehicle actually runs like a new car now and I will be having my vehicle serviced here from now on.

I recently had my drive shaft replaced along with transmission flush, front and Rear brakes. Al and team were kind patient and went the extra mile to ensure my repairs were done to my satisfactionA key point to my experience was the extra care Al provided by taking me on a test drive for me to experience the repairs made and guaranteed if I wasn t satisfied to bring the car back. Needless to say I have found a new mechanic. This kind of service is rare to find.
