02/08/24 - To continue this, I had to delete some of my original review. My wife brought her 2016 Kia Soul in to get the ignition issue where a child can steal the vehicle. My son's 2018 was scheduled for 2/9. Now this is after they left the oil cap off on my son's 2018. While this wasn't quite as bad, seriously? My son contacted me on the day he was driving my wife's 2016 to school. They left the hood unlatched - not fully open, but unlatched. He noticed it on his way into the university. He even sent me a video. I'm not going to bother posting it because I just give up. Two times, and half the time they get it wrong. But the photos and video of my son's oil soaked 2018 are still there for everybody's viewing pleasure.12/12/23 - After nobody from Martin Kia called me back on 12/9 I took my son's oil soaked car back. The young lady who greeted me and directed me into the garage had such a nice attitude that my BP dropped slightly. . She told me that Mario who I'd worked with at another Kia dealership I trusted was in. Mario got me in and their mechanics got 80 to 85 percent of the oil cleaned off and topped it off. I spent about an hour and got probably 10% or more of the remainder off. Outstanding job by Mario and that young lady who greeted me on my way in. I'm adding one star back to the review based on my interactions with those two individuals. You're still millions of miles from a full 5.Yes, I received a message from the dealership about what they could do better. That message would have been better that morning. Here's what you can do for starters.1. Have your mechanic's work double-checked by ANOTHER mechanic.2. Get a pressure washer so next time you get closer to 100% of the oil off.3. When a customer calls twice - once the night before, and again that morning, call them back.4. Get people who actually care about customer service, like Mario and that young lady who greeted me.My wife brought both our Souls to you against my wishes. You got 50% of them wrong and cost me time I didn't have. Let that sink in.

Had an appointment for an oil change back in December. Took over 2 hours! Well beyond the promised time, what happens when they don t meet the promised time anyways? Got in the car, they didn t reset the oil counter, and they didn t do the courtesy car wash. Pretty horrible experience, texted the service rep afterwards, took him days to respond with a half-hearted apology. Hopefully will have better luck at Kia of Wilmington.

Cannot recommend and the dealership lost a customer because of the service side. Took my Optima a few weeks ago for an obvious fuel pump filter problem. Took it back this week as the check engine light was on.First- they never checked my car in so the day I dropped it off for a 7:30 appointment they did nothing and couldn t even find my car when I called to check on the status. Left it overnight for them to work on it the next day, and sure enough, the fuel pump filter was the code this time. So great, they repaired that but when I picked it up, they hadn t done the oil change requested.Oh, and the cashier desk staff are also not customer service oriented.

The customer service here sucks!!! I called to make an appt to get my 2023 Kia Sportage looked at because the engine light came on. They told me that the first available appt is in May, mind you we are in March! How is this not a priority??? At least they could diagnose the problem to make sure that it wasn't anything serious, but nope!. They want me to ride around for 2 months not knowing the problem!!! The girls that answers the phone & sits at the desk are not friendly at all!!! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM!!!This is not my firstbad experience with service.

Scammers don't repair your car until they feel like it, racking up rental fees. They held my car for over 21 days on a 4 day repair because I was paying out of pocket, and they wanted to prioritize insurance cars. I had to call my insurer to force them to do their job once they took over the claim. It was not a large repair. They just didn't want to do it because they are scammers.

I had taken my car to Kai on cleveland avenue. I have a 2020 Telluride and lately I been having problems with the car starting. I made an appointment on 11/29. They had my car for half the day. I picked up my car they said it was the battery and they preformed a diagnostic testing and said everything was okay. The next day my car died and It would not start and I had to have it towed. I told them the driver side mirror wasn t coming all the way out and they said nothing was wrong sometimes wrong if it doesn t come all the way. The kicker, they can t work on my car until 12/14. WOW. Because of their incompetence, my car is sitting on their lot for two weeks. I don t understand Oh not finished. I taken the Telly for her 30000 miles check up. Get this the next day, I went to use my windshield washer no fluid, took the car back and get this they didn t changed my oil. SMH but on the paper they give me said they did. The service there is not good at all. The customer service reps are nice. The mechanics a different story

Terrible service. We bought a used car from Martin in September. After a week the car would only start sporadically and we got it back to service. They replaced the battery, still wouldn t start. The car finally just died and we called Kia to have it towed to them. They said they d send a tow truck. Never arrived. Called again, new person told us they don t send out tow trucks. Now I m having it towed to a better mechanic. Never again Kia, never again

I called because I had a flat tire that morning. I had the car towed from in front of my home. I called Martin Kia, I was told the car arrived, j was told the driver front tire was flat, I was also quoted a price, I believe of $164.00, and told I'd receive a call when done. I received a call from Steve who said, were going to take a look at your call to find out what's wrong with it. I explained to him that they had already looked at it, and given me a price. Steve then said I'll call you back. He didn't call, instead he text me and told me that I had 2 flat tires, also told me I needed brakes,and 4 tires,and bunch of other things.I asked how I got a second flat tire, Steve persisted that when my vehicle arrived there, it had 2 flat tires, I told him that when I took pictures, only 1 tire was flat, and whatever else the car needed I would take care of later.I didn't receive a call at the end of the day as I was told, I called my daughter to pick me up. I called and spoke with Steve, I asked if the shuttle could pick me up when done, I was told yes.When the car was done that Saturday I asked about the shuttle and was told they don't run on Saturday's and Steve didn't work that day. I was dropped off by my daughter. It was very unhappy that I had to pay for an additional tire, I also told Steve that I would dispose of my own tires, to save on the cost, I didn't get them, because I forgot them, and remembered when I got home, and ofcourse it wasn't offered when I got there.I then received a message from Steve saying that I could do the survey with him, and, if I had any problems, I could let him know.

My 2021 car broke down and i had it towed to this dealer overnight via road side. they called me and told me i needed to have my car towed off their lot at my cost because they don t have room for me and said their next appointment was 30 days away. said they could not give me a rental until diagnosed. i called a day later and was told they never put appointment in and now it was out 5 days further. i spoke to service manager and he said he could tow it to an impound lot for free but not to my driveway. This was the worst service experience i have ever had anywhere. i ended up towing my car to west chester kia they diagnosed my car the next day after it was towed in. i had a seized motor it was covered under warranty they ordered a new short block and gave me a rental. they were nice and communicated to an exceptional level. I wouldn t go to martin service if my life depended on it. I hope this may help someone out there.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Service department customer service is horrible! Do not take your car here it s a woman that answers the phone can t remember her name exactly but she out right lied from jump saying they wouldn t be able to see my car until way September-October I go online and was able to book an appointment with them in august. My engine recently blew and Kia is basically under recall right now so I would need to take my car to the nearest dealership I opted to wait until end of September just to take my car to the dealership in Wilmington. So I can have better customer service and my car be looked at properly. The treatment over the phone and tone of this woman over the phone I could just tell I should save myself the head ache in already a stressful situation. Even when I called today to cancel my appointment with them because of their trash customer service the same woman I m sure answered and she sounded as if she could careless of how they made a potential customer feel. So I m still waiting for my car to be seen so I can be back on the road which is unfortunate but I refuse. To be treated unfairly or like I m a bother when that s their job to service cars so I ll just wait until my appointment In WilmingtonAgain save yourself the breathe and headache and just take your car to Kia Wilmington! There service guys actual are excited about their job and willing to hear the situation pre even coming into the location instead of rushing someone off the phone because they don t want to deal with it. Do better Martin Kia !!!sad because numerous locations have said this isn t the first complaint they have heard from customers about the customer service at Martin Kia service . It s so sad i bought my first car from this location years ago but I d never even return to buy a car now nevertheless have my car serviced here now , do better !

I ve had a horrible experience. I purchased a new car from Kia in Newark, de my gas cover came off when I went to get gas and Kia tried to charge me 300.00 I explained that I myself did nothing to the car nor was it tampered with. Simply that it looks like it was cracked and fell off. The representative was horrible In the service department. I was not helped I was not treated like a customer who just spent 30k on a brand new car with this company. I m very disappointed and dissatisfied with Kia as a whole.Service: Body & Trim

I've never had service at a dealership before so I can't really compare it to anything but the service was great! Everybody was very nice. They had a shuttle to bring me to work. Overall my experience was fantastic!

Communication is terrible. They kept my car for half a day, didn't do what I asked, and didn't do what they thought they were there for. All due to poor communication and zero listening on their part.
