Highly recommend Vernon at Martin Kia! Not only did he get me into my new 2024 Kia Forte & got me closer to the payments I wanted than anyone else, he also connected me with someone to buy my lease for a clean break saving me thousands of dollars in the long run after Hertrich Nissan across the street tried to get over on me. He was genuine, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with!

From purchasing a vehicle to issues with the vehicle to being the only place that works on the vehicle. I would say double-check everything. Nobody is perfect, and things can get overlooked. At times, I get it. I know how it is. They sent my wife out after a service job with the "alignment" of the vehicle misaligned twice in a row. Then, the windshield washer fluid line was disconnected and never reconnected. The clips that held the lines were missing completely.. come on, guys, you need to do a better job than this. You are the only company working on the vehicle, and it's still brand new.

The ENTIRE staff at Martin Kia provided the best experience with leasing. I am normally very anxious when it comes to purchasing or leasing a car and tend to feel pressured by sales people in doing so. However, everyone at Martin Kia throughout EVERY step of the process was patient with me answering every question I had at any point and very knowledgeable. Denise took the time to research inventory to find the SUV that met all of my requests. She was very proactive and would make herself readily available to address any question I had. It was a pleasure working with Denise Moen and the entire staff. They took their time to explain each part of the process and get me the best deal possible with my new 2024 Kia Sportage lease. I am extremely happy with it. Thanks Denise and Martin Kia!

Repair shop has my car with 15 days before i was forced to use my insurance to expedite the repair. They said it would take 4 days, but they held it without repair for 15 before i called my insurance company. They still have it 21 days out for a 4 day repair. They play favorites and have no honor. Avoid Kia at all cost.

Turns out my 2017 Kia forte needed a replacement engine under warranty. It took 4 months. After supplying oil change paperwork, they needed more information. They charge labor to remove the intake valve to take a picture. It was determined that I get a new engine but would still be required to pay the labor. In the end, after all the difficulties and delays, i wasn t charged. I was able to get a loaner car after this was determined. Replacement engine was delayed or incorrectly ordered. Told I wasn t the first person this happened to. Well, that didn t make me feel any better and maybe that person needed to be employees in a less important position. I was required to pay for a replacement battery. The battery for this car was already replaced once in 2019 and had problem again with new battery in 2021. They didn t accept to cover half the cost for a new one considering i was still within 1 warranty period and maybe 200 miles over the expired one. This car although dead sat in their location in winter for months. What did you think was going to happen to battery. Spoke with main Kia Cust Svc. People, if a dealership tells you you have to pay for something and that when you call them they will reimburse you the dealership is sadly mistaken. The vehicle MUST BE on their premises. While this was happening and I was waiting a reply, since my car was technically completed, they would not allow me to hold onto loaner car for a few more days while that was being resolved. And NO. Kia DID NOT find themselves at fault for the battery when THEIR engine died under warranty. Sigh. Also, and lastly as I review the bill. Martin Kia charged me 50.00 TO TOW THE CAR INTO THE SHOP since it had a dead engine. Really? Nickel and dime everything? They say KIA wouldn t reimburse THEM like for the labor at the beginning when it is a warranty replacement? I will NEVER buy a kia again. If I felt that the car was a great price and awesome drive, the after sale service doesn t warrant me being aggravated by the entire process. Also, you re working with 1 svc person, you cannot even speak with the svc mgr because they aren t aware of your repair. How is that for a manager to not step in that persons shoes and help when they aren t available for the day. I rarely take the time to write a good review. I will say good things by mouth and they have my business. And even less time to bother with a really bad review. But this time .. I feel better having put my displeasure out into the universe and hope this helps someone.

My 2019 KIA Sorento has a transmission issue. All I want to know is if it is covered under warranty. They say we don't have any appointments until March. So they won't look at it or anything until March and at that point I still will have to find out if it's covered under warranty.

The worst customer service i have ever experienced. Russel in service is very rude along with Stephanie who is a problem pretty much every time i am here. and if you re stupid enough to buy a car here run from Stephanie in sales.Also just witnessed the young blonde at the cashier desk talk badly and cuss about a customer on the phone very unprofessional

To say the company has a GREAT service representative, would be an understatement . Jordan helped me right away. He was firm, assertive, and patient with me. Jordan provided detailed explanations; and even made the effort to break down the terminology to ensure that I understood all of my options. Not to mention, I made my final decision within an hour of my visit. Jordan s competent service gave the assurance I needed to make my decision confidently and quickly!Thank you for the great hospitality, and positive experience!

Worst car buying experience ever!!! Paperwork signed w finance, No request for money @ the time of signing w finance, no one bothered to tell us 4 1/2 hrs later that our financing had changed to a different lender, & days later after everything had been signed our salesman Vernon Sharper is chasing us down for a $1000 down payment after the fact!!! Who does that? Then we have to drive back to the dealership to sign new contracts because the salesman & finance person failed to communicate properly with each other about our original contract! Highly unprofessional & very inconvenient!!! Very unhappy!!!

I had a phenomenal experience. From the time I pulled my car in, I was treated as if someone very important was entering. I was escorted from my car to the service area where I had my paperwork completed. I was then informed the estimated cost and timeframe and escorted to the waiting room since I was staying with the vehicle. Once the work was completed, everything that was done, every inspection, every recommendation was all explained to me fully in layman terms. My service man waited as I paid my bill, them escorted me to my car, as a proper gentleman. I received a courtesy car wash and vacuum and left a very happy and satisfied customer.

the entire team at this kia location is wonderful and genuinely kind. bought my first car from Vernon in 2017 and after shopping around, came back to him for my second in 2023. I would (and have) recommend him to friends and family 100 times over. thank you for being the greatest!

What a great car buying experience. Stephanie was excellent to work with- she answered any questions, was very responsive and really was so helpful in making the experience smooth.As a new mom, her working with me to make the process go quickly was so appreciated! Stephanie really changed my view of car dealerships- I always hated going because of the experiences I have had in the past with other dealership s sales people. Stephanie was a welcomed exception!If you are buying a car- highly recommend Stephanie!

Quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a car thanks to the salesperson. Don t think I have ever met someone as insufferable as Denise Moen is. There are no words for the level of pessimism and negativity this woman manages to spew. Speaking to her is agonizing because even though you know you are both speaking the same language, she stares at you as if you have 4 heads. Then there s the gaslighting that she is a PRO at. If it weren t for Gino we would have gladly gone somewhere else. We had plenty of options!! Even though the dealership GM wanted to puff out his chest and act like HE was doing US a favor.If you re in the market for a new KIA, I promise just about any other dealership will be a better experience than Martin Kia.Run. Run far and run fast. Especially if you see Denise coming your way.

Ms. Stephanie Pelzer (Sales) was professional, responsive, informative and knowledgeable. She delivered above and beyond. Ms. Betty Mahan (Delivery Manager) was pleasant, professional and honest. She presented products and costs. We said we weren t sure and needed time to discuss and decided to purchase the products 15 minutes later. The Finance Manager business approach was questionable at best. He admitted that he had applied for an increase in our loan amount without our permission. There's more to this story.With that said, we are very pleased with the purchase of our new 2023 Kia K5 GT. Thanks Stephanie Pelzer!!

Recently bought a Kia Sorento from Denise at Martin Kia in Newark. We are very satisfied with the service from Denise. She was patient, diligent and thorough! These new cars have a lot to learn with the technology and she explained everything I needed! The transaction was fast and efficient because of the great service Denise provided! If you are shopping for a new car go see Denise, you won t be disappointed.We also LOVE the Sorento (prestige SX HYBRID). I went from a forte to the 3rd row SUV and was worried about the size of the vehicle. It is an awesome car with so many features to help you know exactly where you are on the road!Very satisfied customer!

No mechanics on staff just lube guys. Martin Kia was great when purchasing a car but service dept is a whole issue. My 2020 Forte engine light came on Oct 5, 2022. I called service dept and no appointments available until Dec 1st and told shouldn't drive the car but when I asked for a loaner they said they could not accommodate me. I called a dealership in NJ and got and appointment within 2 weeks. Car was fixed, needed a new transmission and was returned to me before Martin would even look at it!

The dash cluster on my wife's 2023 Kia Sportage stopped working and started smelling like burning electronics while her and our daughter were in the car, stranding them. This vehicle was purchased brand new and has approximately 23,000 miles on it. This is the second time the car has left her stranded, the first time we're bad fuel injectors "supposedly".When my wife called Martin Kia to rectify the situation she was told they would look at it when they could as they were busy. When asked about a loner car they replied we don't have any available and it's a courtesy to get one. Well I would expect this from a dealership who sells brand new car that catch on fire after 20k miles. Inferior product, inferior service. Don't buy a Kia or deal with Martin or you'll be left with a 700 dollar a month car payment and no car.Here's an update on my 2023 Kia Sportage, It's left my wife on the side of the road for a fourth time with less than 30,000 miles on it.I've reached out to my local representative about it. Given all these facts I do not believe Kia or Hyundai are selling vehicles that are worthy of American dollars or up to our standards. It's time for the federal government to do their job.

Had a great experience from start to finish. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and there was no pressure to make a purchase.Worked with Jordan and Mark who were very helpful and worked to find thee right vehicle for me.Even had a issue with my bank for the payoff of the car I traded in. Mark in finance was extremely helpful in identifying and helping work through the issue.Martin Kia has earned my future business and referrals.

Shopped for and bought a new Kia K5 last week. Stephanie was our sales rep. She was very helpful and patient with us as we narrowed down our decision on what make and model to get. Once we bought the car she helped give us an orientation on all the features of the car and set up the phone app for remote start, locking etc.Really like the new car! This is the second car we bought from Martin. We've always been happy with the servicing as well. Phil the general sales manager was also great. Most of the folks working there have been working together at the dealership for many years and it speaks to the good culture they've built there. Kudos to Martin Kia.

I cannot say enough about my fantastic experience purchasing our 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX prestige. Phillip Rockwell went above and beyond to take care of a loyal Martin dealership customer. He did everything possible to obtain this vehicle as quickly as he could! He had Vernon Sharp work with us on the delivery of the Sportage and we could not have been treated any better. Vernon made sure that all are questions were answered and that we got the best possible rates with the finance department. He took the time to go over all the features of our new Sportage.Thank you Philip and Vernon it was a real pleasure working with both of you! I contacted KIA dealership in Newark, De asking is they have any availability because my car window on the passenger side will not go up. I also explained my car was getting serviced Saturday coming. I was advised I could bring my car and leave it because they are booked and don't know when they'd be able to look at the window a diagnostic need to be done. I advised I don't have any other car how would I be able to get to work, and I was told sorry there are not rentals available and I'd have to get on a waiting list. Is that not crazy! not to mention if I am able to wait until Saturday with my window open there is no guarantee they will be able to fix it because they don't do diagnostics on Saturdays. This is how they treat people who spend money buying a car from their dealership. In order for me to pay for their services I need to be able to get to work. Every time I turn around it's a problem with their cars from recalls, batteries, etc. Now I'm forced to go outside to a mechanic instead of using the place where I purchased my car. I find this to be unacceptable. It's time for me to return this car and go somewhere else where the cars are more reliable.

I had an issue with service and was very upset. I was so upset that I previously came on and gave a 1-star rating. I have since deleted that post and I'm now posting a rating with 5 stars. I'm very happy with the customer service that I received from Mr. Murphy. He really does care about the customers. He's honest and fair. I would encourage everyone to contact him, speak kindly, explain your issue in a civil manner, and give him time to investigate your concern. The results I received were phenomenal! Thank you Mr. Murphy. You truly deserve much much more than 5-stars.
