I've bought several pre-owned Hondas from Martin dealership over the past 10 years. The 2 hour travel is always worth it as the service is top notch. Thank you Rick Waterman for helping us to upgrade to the Honda Pilot EX-L. Your service was unmatched and the process was so easy!

Overall, I am pretty happy with shopping my car here. Thanks to Stefanie who is my salesman. She is very sweet and patient with my deal. The reason i only give 4 stars is the sales manager Moe was shady. Thanks to the Business Manager (I forgot his name, he is asian), he explained to me all the charges which never been mentioned during the negotiation. He tried to work things out to save my deal cause I was about to give up.Overall, I love my new car. It is so beautiful.

I have a mixed relationship with Martin. The sales department, I avoid. The service department can do better with their wait times and prices. The body shop is amazing. They back their work even after years.

My sister and I bought an SUV and financed a car from Mark!A 2005 Element for me and a 2018 Civic for my sister for the holidays! Great experience! Came in just to look for my sister but couldn't resist the deals and the quality of the vehicles! Mark had such expertise in the trade in process for my Honda and making the buying process so simple, I couldn't believe I bought 2! Felt like family!Mark had a vast knowledge of his inventory and amazing specials on cars! Gave me the ins and outside of all the bells and whistles each car I saw had to offer and gave me the best car for my price range! I've been buying cars from Martin since I could drive and lived in DE and I've had the most positive experience with Mark of anybody I've sat with! Drove all the way from Philadelphia and I'm very glad I did!7/7 Would highly recommend Mark for buying any new or used car, trade ins and financing!

I took my car into service for a factory recall ,and a oil change at 9:00 am at the repair shop.I got a ride home from there shuttle service and at 12:40 I received a call my car was finished. Also the shuttle was on the way to my house and when I got to the dealership they had my paperwork for the repairs was ready. Then they had a valet pull my car around for me.It was a good experience and I could recommend the repair shop for maintenance on the type of vehicles they service

We've had some sketchy car buying experiences in the past, but Martin Kia really stepped up to the plate. They made us feel comfortable and took very good care of us. We got a great deal and couldn't be happier with our experience. Nick and The salesman were super personable and very friendly. There wasn't a high-pressure sales environment like you often find at many dealerships. They understood our needs and were willing to work with us to make sure we were satisfied.

This was a great experience. They had the used CRV I wanted and worked with me to get a good deal. Karl Mack the salesman that took care of me ensured everything was smooth and taken care of. Financing was great Patty got me a couple options to choose from. Overall they demonstrate honesty integrity and care for their customer. I strongly recommend if you are looking for a car you do business with these folks.

The experience of buying from Martin is nothing short of absolute excellence, professionalism, and authenticity. From staff to product, I could not recommend a better place to get a vehicle. Brett Smith made the whole experience smooth and painless! He was very genuine, personable, and knowledgeable. I feel so safe driving with my infant daughter and I really love my Honda Pilot!

I love this place! Rick definitely came through for me, even though I thought I was a lost cause! But he worked his magic and really hooked me up. I was able to let him know what I was looking for, and he found a great choice for me. I can t thank him enough! The cars are great, the salesmen are great, I highly recommend you stop by and get a car.

I have never had such an easy or stress free time purchasing a vehicle. Tracy made our experience fast and was very knowledgeable in everything we needed. He was very kind and patient with all my questions and never tried pressuring me into anything. I hate pressure sales and will run from them. I felt very welcome and the staff was very warm and friendly. Thank you Tracy! I would recommend you to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle! Love my new car!

From the initial phone contact with Erik Dammeyer, to seeing the inventory in person with Caitlin Osborne, this was a truly enjoyable experience. Everyone was upfront and honest in regards to delivering on the expectations I had as a customer. Very low pressure (but very hands-on) approach to the sales experience. Caitlin was especially phenomenal. She showed me quite a few vehicles, asking me questions to get to know "me", therefore allowing her to recommend a vehicle that would fit my needs (and a few wants as well!). I will definitely be coming back here for future business, and look forward to establishing long lasting relationships with the good folks here at Martin Kia! Cheers!

I've had a lease with Kia for several years now an when i wanted to trade in and get a new one, I knew what I wanted. Caitlin Osborne was my sales associate and absolutely fantastic. She put up with my list of things that I wanted and at what price and went to work. She kept in touch with me through the whole process and in the end, wasn't but a week, I was so satisfied and happy with my new car as I drove it away.I'll always ask for Caitlin for my next purchases!

Martin's service center has always been top quality. Not only is the work done right the first time, but a thorough explanation of the evaluation and work is always provided. Every time I drive away from Martin I am confident that my car is safe and fully serviced.All of that, and they also clean your car!I will continue using Martin for my service needs.

My sales person Stephanie Pender was excellent! My lease process went smooth and quickly. My only issue was with the business manager Nick Lee. His "bed side" manner is sub-par to say the least. After I politely declined all of the "extra" warranties that he was offering for additional purchase his whole demeanor changed. I didnt get a handshake at the end of the deal or nothing. I also called and left him a detailed voice mail message because I had a quick question about my contract. Did he return my call? Of course NOT. Back in 2016 I co-signed for my daughter with her purchase of a Kia Optima and I had an unpleasant experience with him even back then. I suggest you all finding a replacement business manager! Nevertheless, I am happy with my present and past purchases.

Our overall experience at Martin Mazda was completely different than any other dealership we have dealt with. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed having Daniel Carlton as our sales consultant. He was genuinely concerned about our needs and very knowledgeable about all the vehicles. We will definitely buy from them again in the future and refer them to our friends and family.

I'm writing this post because like most people I dread the process of buying a new car up until my recent experience at Martin Kia. I want to take this opportunity to thank my sales consultant Robert Smith for making this process enjoyable. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and transparent. This is so important for someone such as myself who previously had horrible experiences when came to buying a car. Martin Kia and Robert Smith changed my outlook on buying a car and for that I'm grateful. Continue the great work and I high recommend Robert Smith to my family and friends.

We were treated with kindness and respect. That is so important to me because that's how I try to treat everyone.Our car buying experience was wonderful!Rick Rowe Jr. couldn't have been nicer to us if we owned the establishment. We love our KIA Soul. It is such a fun car. We have owned it since 2013.When we took it to our grandsons baseball game, another parent liked it so much that they went down and purchased one.Thank you Rick, we will be seeing you again soon!

I'm writing this review in regards to the excellent service we received while killing for a car to purchase for my daughter. Robert Smith was very friendly, professional and patient. He fully explained everything that was taking place during the purchase without being pushy. I would highly recommend Mr. Smith to my family and friends.

Such a great experience. Everyone was very kind and patient. There was no sense of pressure or rush through the buying process. Beth was incredibly great to ensure all questions were answered and that I was completely satisfied, especially with buying out of state. Would highly recommend that anyone needing a used car should check out Martin of Newark.

Such a great dealership and great salesman. I've bought both of my cars from Rick Rowe Jr and couldn't have asked for a better experience. He is extremely knowledgeable about all of the products and services that come with each car and really makes the buying experience as enjoyable as it can be. It was a very easy, great and exciting experience. I worked with Rick Rowe, Jr. and he was awesome. I used to sell cars over a decade ago and he impressed me with his knowledge of the vehicle I leased, which was a 2015 KIA Optima Limited. His delivery was bar none and he was able to navigate through every single setting of the computer with confidence while making it relate to me by asking questions along the way. For those of you who aren't familiar with the process of car sales, the delivery comes after the sale has already been made and the car is basically about to be driven off the lot by the new owner. This is when a lot of sales people just go on to the next sale, never looking back. But not Rick! He actually came in on his day off just to make sure he followed it through until the end and you could tell he really loves what he does! His added personal touch makes him someone I would gladly work with again as well as refer friends and family members his way. Keep up the excellent work Rick and I will see you when I need another vehicle!

My Husband & I purchased our Honda Pilot at Martin this week. It was, honestly, the best sales experience we've ever had. We dreaded visiting any dealership as our last vehicle purchase (we visited Nissan, Toyota & a Honda dealer in Northern VA) was dreadful. Generally any big purchase could be stressful from deciding what product will meet your needs without breaking your budget, signing forms & contracts, all while worrying if you're getting the whole truth from your salesman. I can't say that at any point I was uncomfortable or felt like I was being pulled or pushed around. Larry in Finance was friendly and mild and did not try to force us into any add-ons or coverages that were unnecessary while still taking time to explain our options. Andre Hilliard, our Sales Consultant, was the highlight of our dealings with Martin. He was informative & caring, kind & pleasant, & above all, honest and seemed truly determined to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. We had an issue with an exterior blemish on our the vehicle we selected (which we didn't notice, the service department noticed it during detailing and contacted sales who then called us to let us know right away rather than concealing the issue even though we had already signed). We decided to take the vehicle anyway and return to have body work performed later. That same evening, we received a call from Andre saying that he was not happy with situation and searched the local inventory for a matching Pilot and had found one that was flawless so we would not have to be inconvenienced with service on our brand new vehicle. The fact that despite the completion of our purchase and his commission having been sealed on the deal, he still thought of us and was willing to invest more time on satisfying us was so overwhelming. We returned the following day to swap Pilots and the staff had already had the vehicle detailed, tags on and set to drive, and our forms printed, organized and ready to sign with the corrections made. We will absolutely be returning to Martin for any future purchases and if you have plans to visit Honda, do yourself a favor... visit Andre at Martin. It will be worth it in the long run.

Worst service I have ever, ever experienced in my life when buying a car. I'll go to Newark Dealerships next time across the street. I've been to them and they are exceptional. Martin Kia however...People don t know how to sell cars here. You have to help yourself and sell yourself a car. You have to know the process to follow, call the insurance yourself, test drive by yourself, ask them if they need proof of insurance (which they wanted me to send to her personal, not dealership email), ask them if you can have the second set of keys, ask them if you can leave, ask them where your license plate is at, when it s been in for a couple weeks. Long story short, came in and nobody wanted to help me. Shannon was all about me buying a car on the phone, asked me for what I wanted and said she would find it (even said she found the color I wanted and when I got there it wasn t charcoal it was silver), but in person, when Shannon finally showed up after waiting forever, was unenthusiastic, tired, delayed, distracted, disorganized, unprofessional, and an irritated person. She literally said I could wait to buy a car from one of the other salesman in a couple days, coming from the manager of the place. So after prompting the questions from her (vs. the other way) throughout the whole process and waiting 4.5 HOURS! to get a car I already had a pre-approval on, had the car in stock, and had an appointment. I left with my car completely disgusted. The only people that acted like a person working at a car dealership were some lady that kept saying: She s still not back yet? (talking about Shannon) throughout the evening, the finance guy, and the guy showing me the technology. However, I had to sit and go through the technology for an extra 30 minutes because the guy mixed up the systems and insisted it was another way, when I said I didn t think so. I also showed him a feature he stated this vehicle didn t have. I never received any paperwork for the warranty I purchased, I never received an IOU paper for the accessory they promised me, or a receipt for an accessory I purchased. I called and reported all of this negative experience to Vernon. He was apologetic, and was niceish, said he was Shannon s manager (later I caught him in a lie stating she was his manager), and he would make sure we get the accessories ordered. I said, I thought they were already ordered.? He said they were not! Frustrated yet again, I told him specifically I wanted a Cargo Tray and Cargo Cover. He said they should be in, in a few days. Called him after a few days, he says a few more days, called again, still not in. Finally came in and the Cargo Tray was a Cargo Mat. I texted him and frustrated as I should be as it's been weeks, asked why the correct product wasn t ordered when I verified with him twice when it was already supposed to be ordered by Shannon, and Vernon immediately called me back (not text) with an attitude stating No, you did not say Cargo Tray and in a condescending tone says I ll order it and it will be in....in a few days. Not "I'm sorry for the confusion, we'll get that right in." Nothing like that. I was appalled. Two weeks later I finally got the Cargo Tray. I just couldn t believe he had the nerve to call me back with an attitude. Completely unprofessional. The whole process WAS A NIGHTMARE here, was quite frankly TRASHY, and I have never been more DISAPPOINTED in my life. The lady I called asking for the license plat when my registration expired expected me to know it was ready for pickup. They did not tell me anything. I asked where I needed to go and they expected me to know to go to Honda. She even had an attitude. You would think in this economy you'd have customer service, NOT HERE. DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place seriously needs work and I'm surprised they are still in business. CRAZY! - With Love, your Level 7 Local Guide.

We are driving the car of our dreams! Thank you, Stephanie Pelzer and Martin Kia for providing amazing service while helping to get us behind the wheel of our new car. Stephanie was welcoming, not pushy, and extremely helpful. At other car dealerships, we felt pressured and knew that they cared more about making money than taking care of our needs. This was not the case at Martin Kia!They catered to our personal situation and worked with us.I really love my car and i tell everyone that Martin Kia got me a great deal! I have already recommended one friend who is shopping for a car; and from one car shopper to another, I highly recommend you ask for Stephanie at Martin Kia if you want to get a great deal from a great salesperson!

Stephanie Pelzer is always available to assist my husband and I if we every come across any issues. Only purchasing my car a few months ago I am still very pleased with the services and the choice we made for our brand new Kia. Stephanie was very professional and provided amazing service. Stephanie was very informative with the car and features and went over most questions before I could get a chance to even ask. Martin Honda is my go to dealership! Car buying can be a daunting task but as soon Brett Smith approached and introductions took place, I felt at ease. Brett is genuine and personable making the search for my next vehicle actually enjoyable! I knew exactly what I wanted to which resulted in the only reason I didn't buy from Brett because their used inventory didn't have the color or trim I desired. When I am in the market for my next vehicle, I know I will be going to Brett Smith at Martin Honda!

It was a great choice of me going to Martin Dealer to but my first dealer car. My sales person were Tommy & Jose and thanks to them I bought the car i was looking for (While Lexus IS250 W/ Navigation). Both sales person have a great personality. They made my choice to be smooth and they helped me as much as they could with no pressure and no rushing me to buy the car. They are straight forward and honest. I have no words to explain the way they treated my dad and I. After all they also worked things out so I can could of bring the car home withing my budget. The work on my car was fine, and the waiting room is nicely stocked. That being said, when I was being checked in, by Art, and I said there was a problem with my air conditioning, I was giggled at incredulously and then marched outside so he could check it himself. Once the car was looked at by the mechanics it turned out that there was quite a bit wrong with my air conditioning system. I don't care what season it is, I know my car and do not need to be giggled at when I express concern. Additionally, when I said that I would be waiting for the car he raised his eyebrows but did not indicate to me how long the work might take. I ended up being there about five hours. Considering the [well-earned] reputation the car service industry has for being sexist, you might want to work on communicating with your female customers better.
