Purchased a 2016 Ford trasit, they did the installation of trailer hitch and lights. Lights didn't work, they said a recall on the part they installed. Took it back with same results. Lack of knowledge at this place. As of February '17 still not working. They did have it working for a little while. I've lost a lot of time messing with this issue. Finally the dealership told me to take it to brass sales. They fixed it correctly. They said it was all wrong. Wrong size wire, not enough wire and wrong size fuse.

Made an appointment to have our lift gate repaired in December. It had a hydraulic leak and was drifting down slowly, also the torsion spring was broken. The truck sat for a week before they even looked at it. Finally picked it up a week and a half later. Two weeks after that, the new torsion spring broke and it was leaking fluid again. I called to let them know what happened. They said to bring it in right away. I called a week later and they told me that they haven't even looked at it yet. I got annoyed and finally got transferred to the service department. They told me that they were too busy to look at it, and they were going to contract the job to a guy down the street. They told me that he wouldn't be able to look at it until next week. They still have our truck. I can't get a return call.UPDATE- Finally got a call fromAutoPort Inc 3 weeks after we dropped it off for the second time for the same repairs . They said that the truck is finished but they are refusing to release our truck because the December bill is not paid. Payment was being withheld because of faulty workmanship. They are demanding December be paid in full by check and will no longer accept our purchase order. But wait, they are ALSO charging us for more repairs even though it wasn't fixed right the first time! AVOID this business at all costs! FINAL UPDATE- We released payment in the amount of $2202.00 to AutoPort and picked up the truck. Our driver immediately reported the lift gate is still drifting down slowly and there still is a hydraulic leak. We are never going back to AutoPort. Our business is going elsewhere.

Found the company info off of Reading Truck Bodies website. Emailed the contact listed with information and photos of what I was looking for. 24 hours later no response. Called the location and spoke to the receptionist and she explained that the gentleman I had called was on vacation for 2 weeks. Vacation response would be a good idea first, and second I asked about whoever I could talk to about parts. The other gentleman was on his cell phone so she gave me his email. He did not respond within 24 hours so I went to another Reading Parts dealer.

The communication needs improvement. Need better call backs and parts status' especially if a part ended up going on backorder for another month. I have a time sensitive truck I have had to call there even after the part came in every day because they have told me the truck is in the shop and it should be finished by the next day. But the days kept going by and I kept being told it is not ready. Then I waited and gave them 3 days of not calling and called on a Monday morning. it was ready. My time sensitive repair quoted in middle of month took 2.5 weeks longer due to communication issues.

I initially contacted Autoport Inc. on May 29th regarding 7 handles that I needed for an older Reading utility body. I had the serial and model number. Austin from parts was able to figure out exactly what I needed. He said that they would be about 3 weeks from ordering until they came in. They were a little expensive so I wanted to check and see if another type of handle would work. We weren't able to find anything else that would work in place of Reading handles so I called back on June 4th to order the parts. Austin wasn't available because he was on vacation and no one in the office was able to find his notes or help me so I had to wait until he came back to order the parts. I called in multiple times while he was away because I didn't get a clear answer when he would actually be back. On June 18th, I called in and ordered the parts. Shipping was going to be an additional charge so I opted to just pick the parts up from Autoport in New Castle. There was also a hefty percentage charged for using a card so I was told to bring a check when the parts came in. I made approximately 11 calls to Autoport from the time of ordering to check up on the order. I was never given an ETA or a tracking number. Every time that I called in there was some reason why Austin didn't have the info. The system was down, Reading switched to a new system, the guy he was talking to was on vacation, no one has called him back yet. On July 22nd, 5 weeks after ordering I contacted another Reading distributor. Before ordering with another distributor I called Autoport 1 more time. Austin told me that he did have confirmation that the parts shipped, he just didn't have a tracking number. So I opted to just bag trying to find them a different route. He said the parts would be in the next week, Wednesday at the latest. I got a call on Wednesday at 4:12 that there was some sort of mix up with the PO and my parts were never ordered. It would be another 3 weeks until they came in.I cannot even begin to describe how upset I am with the level of customer service. I left multiple voicemails and messages with the receptionist and never got a calls back. I had to call your business about 20 times throughout the process to get any information about what was happening. Even touching base that many times, it took 6 weeks for someone to find out that my order was never even placed to begin with! I am furious. I have a truck that has been down for 5 of those 6 weeks because I am waiting on the handles. We can't use it as a service vehicle because the doors don't latch. I emailed this to the company on July 31st giving them an opportunity to address the issue. As of August 5th, I have yet to get an email acknowledging they received my complaint.
