Tom and Christian are amazing!! They really know their stuff and have diagnosed my car on a few different occasions. And not only diagnosed it but took my car in right away and fixed it within a few days. Would have been even sooner if we didn t have to wait for a part. 100/10 recommend! Definitely found my new go to shop.

Absolutely the kindest people in the automotive industry. I was stuck in Delaware with a bad alternator. I had the part under warranty and they helped me navigate a warranty situation expertly. They quickly fixed me right up and kept me completely informed on the whole situation. Without their knowledge and kindness, I would ve been stuck paying for an alternator and labor again. They completed the job in less than 24 hours. I can t stress enough the good nature of the owners of the garage.

Best customer service I ve ever received and I wasn t even a customer!I ve had my car at another mechanic (dealership) for over two months with no progress and I called just to get an estimate on what a brand new engine would cost at this establishment, and to see how much the other place was potentially over charging me. I ended up explaining my situation to Tom (sorry if that s wrong!) and he answered all my questions about what s going on with my Jeep and explained why the other place I sent my car was overcharging me, and most importantly what I can do about it going forward. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone and within those 30 minutes I felt more educated about the situation.My car isn t currently at this shop, but from here on out this is where I will take my Jeep. I appreciate the honesty and customer service!

Avoid this Shop!!!Had a transmission problem. Went there, and they "fixed it." A few days later and $1300.00 later, it leaked again.To their credit, they took it back, replaced the valve again.Still leaked (by the way, after I picked it up, parked at the Bank and I could not get it out of park. Guy came, went under the truck and "tightened" something. I guess they forgot.)I have now called at least 8 times. Every single time, I get the owner, "Well, we need to order a transmission pump." I say "ok, how much is that?"I get no answers. Every time I call, they are looking for a transmission pump. Over and over.I am assuming it costs a lot to take the transmission apart and they want nothing to do with it.It is not good service to say the least.I called again this Monday, again Wednesday. To the same old song and dance--we can't find it, someone is going to call me and I'll call you right back.In this case, 1 star is warranted. How many times do they want me to call?

Found Tom while passing through. Arrived on Sunday to find the drive train failed.Tom and family spent a lot of time finding the correct part to get us on our way by Tuesday. Honect friendly folks. Can't say enough. Thanks Tom

I was on vacation and had vehicle issues. This was the only shop to properly diagnosis my actual issue (clogged fuel filter and rotted fuel lines). They were honest with their price and install hours. The work they completed will outlast the vehicle and I'm grateful for it. They are a knowledgeable and great place to get your vehicle worked on. I would highly recommend them

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Found this place 30 minutes after another big brand shop told me I d have to wait 2 days for a repair. I traveled from two hours away and needed to return home no later than the next day. They told me to come within minutes of making the call. Quick, honest, quality service. And Diane is an ANGEL. I can t say enough about how beautiful she was to my mom and me while we waited for the repair. Truly an amazing place. Highly recommend!Service: Auto maintenance

Great group of people and very knowledgeable. I was tired of waiting for days to get my oil changed at a "national" chain up the street. I came in without and appointment,it was done! Ever since, D&T are my go to guys. Always, honest and never took advantage of any work that was needed. I walked out many a time,when there was nothing wrong(doing a thorough check). No charge! It's not only great to "go local",as with these group of folks, it's well deserved.Services: Auto engine tuning, Transmission repair, Brakes, Oil change

I brought my car to Tom for a bad alternator. first one I brought to him from a local parts dealer was bad. He got another one it was bad and another again bad! (Total 3)So he picked one up from ford and good news it worked!Even though he replaced it so many times and all the extra laborTom worked with me and gave me a very reasonable price and Made me happy.I want to finish up with it would be in your best interest to seeTom for good work, fare prices, and friendly people.STOP in and see them sometime. Very impressed! Finally found a garage who knows what they are doing! Ford wanted to charge $3,000 for a new Turbo when all that was wrong was an incorrect air filter! Big difference! Highly reccomend!

I cannot endorse this garage more strongly. I was in a jam where my teenage son was traveling through DE by himself and the engine quit when he was in Lewes. Tom agreed to take a look at the pickup truck Saturday afternoon. He drove an hour + each way on Sunday to get the replacement fuel pump. He then worked on it all day, finishing the job by 10:00 pm. All this for a total stranger who lives more than 100 miles away! Such unexpected kindness. I am truly grateful. If honesty, integrity, and competency are important factors in your decision-making process, GO TO D&T GARAGE!! I was on vacation and I had a significant transmission fluid leak. When the first garage AAA towed me to said they couldn't take me for a few weeks, the AAA driver suggested D & T Garage. Diane and Tom were so friendly and welcoming - much needed as I was a bit distressed. In the end, I needed a new radiator, and Tom gave me the thumbs up that my transmission survived the ordeal. I had to leave town before the work was completed and Tom was so gracious and patient with me as I figured out a way to retrieve my car. Tom and grandson Chris are knowledgeable and honest mechanics and if I ever need work done when in Lewes, I am going to D & T!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

When my car threw an AC belt prior to my family driving back from the beach, I was surprised to find D&T open on a Sunday evening.Tom & Diane were both great to work with. They reviewed my Suburban, confirmed not only did i lose the AC Belt, but my compressor was shot.Instead of trying to keep us at the garage (we really needed to get home) he charged me a small diagnostic fee and confirmed it was safe to drive albeit a hot ride home.Highly recommend this garage.Service: Air conditioning

Wonderful customer service! After vacationing all week we were packed up to leave and the car wouldn t start. Oh no! How are we going to get home?! I started calling mechanics near us. After a few calls of being told it could take days and me in tears, I called Tom at D&T Garage. He said Don t worry I ll take care of ya. 4 hours later we are back on the road to home. Thank you so much Tom!

Got us out of an ugly spot. Our family had nowhere to stay on a Saturday evening when the car unexpectedly broke down (Mercedes E350) and Tom worked on our car and FIXED IT in 4 hours non-stop. He was going to work on Sunday if necessary so we could continue our trip to Virginia. He and his wife are sweet as pie and just good people. I live in MA but would take my car there if I could. 100% recommended, the reviewer that says had a car there for 7 months and everything broke must be either a lie or sour grapes for other reason, I do not believe it for one second Tom did that. Excellent and quick service that is reasonable and honest. Came in with a check engine light which needed a repair and was back on the road the next night. Tom was very knowledgable and checked out a few other things to make sure I didn't have any other issues with my vehicle. Honest, dependable, knowledgeable, great communication. Tom and crew took care of my son's Jeep. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. After a year of throwing money to three mechanics I came to Tom and Dianes and he saw my wheel was about to fall off because of bad bearings in the drivers side wheel. He diagnosed it immediately, fixed it overnight reasonably, and I m driving a safe car for the first time in a year. Good people too. I called on a Wednesday ,spoke with Tony, one of the owners, told him that my car wouldn t start and that I would like to have the car towed to his business the following day. Tony told me that was fine, to come by. I checked the hours on the website which stated the business opened at 8am. I arrived at 8:30 only to find the gate locked and the answering machine said to enter a passcode . I waited until 9 am when I finally left.VERY unprofessional

The owners of D&T Garage, Tom and Diana, were very helpful. We were in town for a family funeral and as we pulled into the church's parking lot our car began to misfire pretty badly. Frantically we searched for a service center and it being a Saturday, most were either closed, or they couldn't see us until Monday. I called D&T and they were able to take us in. They were able to fix our car and get her running smoothly again so we could drive back to northern Maryland that night. The owners were very nice to us and took us in while we waited for our car to be fixed. If you find yourself in a similar situation like we had, or live in that area, I would highly recommend them to service your vehicle.

I was vacationing when all of a sudden my fuel pump went out "it was a Saturday". "Not a fun time"! Well I had it towed to one garage that stated they could fix it on Saturday but when we arrived they said it wouldn't be until Monday! Well I called around until I found Tom and Diane who are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! They both worked diligently into the late night of Saturday and was able to finish my Tahoe on Sunday night. This was all after Tom personally running to get the parts I needed to get myself and family back on the road. We cant Thank You ENOUGH! If we ever break down in Delaware again "hopefully and pray not" we will take our vehicle back to them! Thanks Again!

We traveled to Lewes from the Washington, DC area this last weekend and Saturday night experienced a loud, grinding noise under the car. Was afraid to drive back home without someone checking the cause of the problem. Called multiple repair shops (it was Sunday and most were closed) and found D&T Garage. When I called there was no answer so assumed they were also closed; hung up and continued trying to find a repair shop. Around 5 minutes later my cell range and it was Tom, the owner of B&T. I explained my problem and the need to be back in Washington on Monday for a critical appointment. Tom stated they were closed but would meet me at the garage and try to identify the problem. Long story short - he and Diane arrived; Tom took one look at my rear brake assembly and said he would have it fixed in no time. He called and secured the parts and we were on our way home by 2:00pm. Words can not express how grateful we were for both Tom and Diane's professionalism and act of kindness towards us. In addition, the charges were fair and I could not have asked for a better price. If there were 10 stars to a review; B&G would have mine without any reservation.

Battery died the day before we were supposed to leave Rehoboth--- Tom fixed but then the alternator was shot--- he spent all of Saturday afternoon and his entire Sunday from 9am until 2am Monday morning working on my car. He even drove 45 minutes to Salisbury (each way) to get the part. My family and I had to stay at a hotel two extra nights. I don't know what I would've done without him and his wife. It took a while but we're thankful he was there. Thank you Tom!

Broke down on a Sunday on a day trip to the beach. No shops open. Called numerous places.Alternator was bad, Tom called me back on a Sunday, arranged a tow to his shop, even tried to find someone to drive my family and I home. He had the altenator fixed and at a great price in less than 2 days. Diane his wife was equally exceptional and caring. Great local ,family owned shop that cares about their customers and makes sure they leave happy.

Can't thank Tom and Diane enough. We needed to leave town and they were very kind to fit us in for a same day repair. They stayed until 10:00 PM to complete the repair, we couldn't be more thankful. Very nice people and a competent master mechanic. Thank you again Tom and Diane

At end of vacation our car needed repairs. This was the only place that help us and fixed our car the same day. They were great! Love this place! I would highly recommend D & T for your car repairs. Thank you so much Tom and Diane!

If there as a way I could give 0 starts I would. DO NOT take your car to this place. Our vehicle was in their shop for SEVEN months. We took it in in June 2017 to replace an exhaust manifold. Tom said he was going to try to remove the bolts without breaking them to save us money. This was after 2 months. NEVER did we receive one call from them about our vehicle. My husband would stop in every week to ask how it was going. After over 2 months without our vehicle I told my husband to not worry about saving us money to just repair it. But my husband went along with saving the bolts. UNTIL after 3 months, lo and behold he broke a bolt. After about 4 months he said he replaced the manifold but, guess what, during that time the battery shorted out and blew up the computer. NOW we need a new computer. Every week when my husband would go in, Tom would say it would be ready in a couple of days, or, it would be ready that weekend. Now, after SEVEN months, and many, many arguments with my husband, My husband tends to believe and trust people, I do to a point, but this is too much. I finally went in and questioned Tom on what was going on with my vehicle. He STILL was saying he was waiting for the computer. He said he called the company and it was sent that morning via Fed Express. I told him I went on line and could have had a computer in 2 or 3 days. This has been going on for months. I said if my vehicle was not done by Monday, 1/15/2018, we were removing it from his shop. Well OF COURSE Monday came and it WAS NOT done. We had to have it towed to another shop. It was found out he did nothing but take the car apart. No manifold was put in like he said.And also a part was not put back on to protect the motor. So they were hoping no water got into the motor. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES take your vehicle to this shop. They say they only want satisfied customers. WELL THIS IS ONE CUSTOMER THEY IN NO WAY TRIED TO SATISFY. We still do not know why they kept our car that long, unless he just is a terrible mechanic and didn't know how to fix it. We did not receive any answers from them and NEVER received any calls advising us what was going on with our car. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!! THIS IS AN UPDATE. The shop where we had our vehicle towed to said WE DO NOT NEED AN EXHAUST MANIFOLD!!!! WHY DID HE TELL US WE NEEDED ONE AND WE DIDN'T! This was a HORROR! I'm writing this review to prevent anybody else going through what we had to go through for 7 MONTHS.
