The first room we entered had an awful smell. The second room had a smell but not as bad. The rooms were clean. The bed was soft. The linen was clean. Plenty of towels. The receptionist was nice and accommodating to our group. Each of the rooms we were in had a full fridge and a 2 isle stove. There were dishes, silverware and pots to use. We did not utilize any of the items, but it would be useful to someone who has to stay for a while.

Hotel was perfect for our needs! We were stopping over on a night of travel and the hotel was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was much better than what similar hotels have been offering. We were able to get pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and fruit. There were also other pastries, cereal, and things available as well. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. It did not seem to be located near very much, because it was in an office district, but that was okay for us because it was right by the highway.

It didn't look dirty. But it smelled so bad like smoke even in the non-smoking. People were nice. Felt safe.Safety: Felt very safe.

This was hands down the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There's a cabinet of "things I use at home" which ranges from board games to a kettle. The kitchenette comes fully outfitted. There's a closet space that is very spacious. Literally my only complaints were that if you're on ground level anyone can see into the closet/bathroom area, and my room didn't get cleaned while I was there (which was fine except for trash honestly, I reuse towels anyway and don't need my bed remade all the time). Absolutely doing my best to stay here again next trip if I can afford it!!

This hotel is on the older side. I hope that the parent company has it on the reno list. Rooms are choppy, carpet is worn, overall darkness-curtains and cabinetry-and no shelving in the bathroom. Well, there is one shelf but unused/extra towels need to go there. Our dop kit, cosmetic bag, curling iron etc...all went in the tub. Plenty of room to have storage under the sink or under the towel bar but it just isn't there. The waffle iron worked well and the decaf Cafe mocha was surprisingly tasty. There are more modern, brighter hotels nearby but we did not know that until already in town. Location is walkable only to the American Legion next door. Otherwise, there are only state/city government buildings nearby.

My room firstly had a bit of an odor, and the floor and atmosphere was very humid and sticky. I noticed that the walls had some type of damage due to water or something. Finally, I was greeted by a cockroach running across the kitchen floor into the wall. Luckily I killed it before he finished it's journey. I have photos, however Im not sure how to upload them

It s a pretty basic suites motel in the middle of nowhere. Staff was nice and attentive, rooms were big but outdated. It s OK for an overnight stay but would not stay there for a longer stay.

Manager of the hotel was extremely helpful! She made us feel like we mattered. My partner and I needed a room after we got off work that morning at 5am and check in for Mainstay wasn t until 3pm. Manager made it available for us to check in even though we didn t need the hotel for the whole day (we wanted to check back out at 5pm) she went above and beyond and we greatly appreciated it! Room was quiet she made sure to put us on the second floor because she didn t want housekeeping to wake us. We were also given a goody bag of granola, mints and water after our check in! Definitely will be staying here again. Awesome customer service, satisfied with our room as well... the bed and bathroom were clean and there was a nice kitchenette. Water was hot & breakfast had a variety which was great.

Like the other reviews, I wish I could say my stay was great. I did not have a problem with the staff or customer service, they were decent and pleasant. My issue was with the cleanliness of the rooms. For example, the floors were gross and half way vacuumed. There was a large gap in between the night stand and wall, where dirt, hair and food crumbs accumulated. The carpet near the floor board and corners were gross. It looked like someone only vacuumed the middle of the room.I bagged up my trash and took it out of the can. The trash can was covered in a sticky mess , with decayed food stuck to it. The smell inside was atrocious.2 of my 4 bathroom towels had hair on them. Not just 1 strand either, there were clumps. That wasn't appealing to use after a shower. The sink in the kitchenette didn't drain. It was more of an annoyance than a cleanliness issue. But the WORST thing was, I noticed a handful of small bites and thought to check bed for anything. Low and behold I found several bed bugs on one of my pillows and one in the bed!!! I took the pillow to the front desk to show them. The response from the manager was, "those aren't bugs" pawing at the pillow as they tried to scury away. Typical answer. She then used clear tape to trap the bed bugs and held them up to the light. I was immediately offered another room , which I took and checked out the next morning.I stayed 3 nights in my original room before realizing there were bed bugs, and 1 night in a new room. For the past couple of days I've been meticulously cleaning everything I took with me, and hopefully my house will not become infested with bed bugs. All in all not fun and not a good experience!!!

I felt very safe there. I had a suite with a king-size bed, alarm clock, ironing board, iron, large bathroom, room safe, small loveseat, coffee table, 3 dressers, TV, kitchenette with fridge, dishwasher, 2 burner stoves, microwave, toaster, desk, internet all in my suite. Ice machine, washing machine & dryer were on a different floor. Gym open 24 hrs. Close to everything in Dover. Easy to get to the beaches or other places to visit. Quiet atmosphere! Lovely stay & would recommend this place highly!

Stayed here for 2 days while in Dover.Positives: location is good. Room was large and had a nice efficiency with a couple stage burners also and a normal size fridge. Price was lowest around. Check in staff was professional.Negatives: The hallways stank of cigarette smoke. The room had a strong musty odor and the shower curtain smelled of mildew. The carpet is old and the room was quite outdated. The breakfast was pretty minimal. The pool was closed.Overall, this was barely a roof over my head for a couple nights. Would not stay here again.

The room service was non existent. Their full service service was taking the garbage out and putting a bag of clean towels on the counter. Also, if you needed extra supplies, you have to go down to the desk and get it yourself. Which is fine, but this is the first time we experienced this sort of hospitality. Maybe because they could be short staffed? The building on the outside looks charming, the inside is gross and dingy.

We booked this hotel cause me & my husband wanted to stay at a nicer hotel must have 3 things: pool, pet friendly, & hot breakfast. We paid just under $200 a night & the pool was closed permanently the breakfast was continental except for a waffle maker & microwavable frozen Jimmy dean sandwiches. We stayed from 8/31-9/5/22 the room was dirty and had dust and unvacumed carpets we switched from the 1st to the 4th floor it was only slightly better and after a few days my dog was non stop itching and had a rash i complained and asked for housekeeping to clean room they said they didnt do leaning on weekends and i would have to schedule a cleaning during the week but i could get new towels & sheets and i could borrow vacum to do myself. The itching continued after flea bath and than me and my husband started getting the rash and bites all over us. I complained but they said only they would flea spray the room. After another miserable day I complained to front desk 2 more times with no resplve so we checked out. While packing we found bed bugs in our clothes and took pictures of all the unsanitary conditions called corporate and formally complained. Now i have to pay a vet bill tom so my dog can get treatment. This was the most horrible experience i ever had.

This property earned one star because the rooms are large and one star because they had availability, but that's where it stops. It's advertised as a "no fills hotel" and that's not an understatement - it's at the end of a vacant plaza with nothing to walk to. Which isn't the fault of the property because other businesses close, but when a breakfast with real food is advertised and you wake to find coffee (with nothing to put in it), warm yogurt, and some sort of pastry (that a coughing attendant filled up) that's thoroughly disappointing especially with kids. The pool is closed - no mention of that was made till I specifically asked and then was met with, "Good luck finding one open."The rooms are large, decorated nicely, and relatively clean. No sign of bed bugs or other creepy crawlies, though I found a couple ants in the bathroom. There is ample storage and a small kitchenette which is much appreciated with needing to now make breakfast here. Our room has two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. One of the beds is so sunken in the middle that two people cannot sleep in it unless they want to be on top of each other all night. The one bed that isn't collapsing is surprisingly comfortable. The smart tv wouldn't connect to the internet and when asked how to work it the aforementioned coughing attendant answered with, "Turn it on."The same attendant is who checked us in. She, too, was no frills...or personality. She had no knowledge of the rewards program she signed me up for, no smiles, nothing. If you're looking for a pleasant stay I'd pick somewhere else because you won't find it here.

This hotel is centrally located nesr many restaurants, gas stations and the casino. A great, comfortable stop-over place to stay on our travels going south.Noteworthy details: The receptionist at the check-in desk couldn't be more helpful! After we arrived she asked if we needed anything, was our room satisfactory, gave us complimentary water and snacks, etc.

The rooms get four stars because of the occasional broke things. But this is important to mention: I spend a lot of time in the blue hen mall area because I don't exactly have a place to spend time with my gf consider financial issues and family issues so... The ladies that are normally there most night let us use the bathroom when needed. And we also get a room four times a year so we've become friends with the red haired lady at the front desk. I forgot her name sadly but anyone who works there could identify her lol... She's amazing and friendly and deserves recognition for her amazing service.

My family and I had a very pleasant visit at this hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. Our stay overnight was very relaxing . There were no loud noises or interruptions to our evening. The pet deposit and room fee were very reasonably priced. Our room was very tidy and the overall appearance of this hotel was clean. A very accommodating hotel for all your needs. Would highly recommend to all of my friends and family.

My fiance and I stayed here for almost three months and were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. The women that clean especially Keisha is very nice and professional. For the most part some the ladies at the front desk are very nice. There was only one female that appeared annoyed anytime a question was asked, she would reply that she had a customer there or on the phone, yet every time I went to the front desk she was on face book or on her cell chatting. There was only one instance where the shower curtain was changed but never replaced and when I called the front desk they asked me if I wanted to go and get it and put it on myself. I thought that was not right and that they should do that. The breakfast is not the greatest but no one really goes there for the breakfast. This place is filled with Army families which makes you feel a lot safer. I never had any issues with safety and the place was always well lit. I could leave my room and not worry about any of my things being stolen or looked through. I would definitely stay here again, the price is very reasonable and most importantly it is clean and safe.

Very nice stay. Away from the bustling traffic of Dover. But close enough to get anywhere you need to be. Everything modern and they are currently updating done areas of the hotel. Nice workout area right up front and a nice size pool. Breakfast options great. I rested very well. All the staff I encountered were very personable, professional and friendly. I'm planning my next trip to stay here.

The stars are for the staff only. Room smells absolutely awful. Lady across from me smokes in her room. Here for an extended stay for a couple weeks for business. The ONLY thing appealing about the room is it has a stove top.Wish I had better news about it.

I loved my stay here, I stood here for 3 weeks. Tab the manager was extremely great!! The employees were all super nice but a few that looked grumpy. Breakfast in the morning had good choices and our room was very comfortable. I would definitely come back and stay again. Also, they had put in new furniture and a new bed during our stay which great! Thank you guys
