Good honest people here. Seems honest and mechanic combined, is a hard find nowadays, but these guys at this location are on point.Went in for a brake change, general vehicle inspection, and tire rotation expecting to drop a couple hundred and after setting up an appointment and waiting in the lobby for the dreaded results of how much the damage was going to be. The guy at the front desk (manager Josh?) Came back to say my brakes are good for another 5k~7k ish miles before it really should be changed - but he'd do the rotation for me no problem. He even measured my pad remaining at 6mm-7mm and there was a physical brake pad depth model in the waiting room area I was in that showed I was on the cusp of the good/intermediate range still.All in all. They could've used typical dishonest bad-rap mechanic shop practices like so many other local businesses to gouge extra money out of me right then and there and didn't. They provided a wealth of information so I could make an informed decision and leave feeling good (and with a fatter wallet). Definitely recommend this shop. My expected $300~ trip cost me a hair over $30. 10% of expected expenses and I'll be back for all my car stuffServices: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto brake replacement

The manager Joshua is always pleasant and knowledgeable. He really took the time to explain what was wrong. They fixed my car quickly on the same day. Would definitely come back. It s clean and smells great in the waiting area too.

Josh is awesome! Great customer service and car for your vehicle. Also, a man of his word. I will always go to him for my car care and recommend/refer any and everyone to do the same!

NEGATIVE STARS! They do NOT care about the safety of their customers!!!!!! Brought my car in for a break inspection and after an extremely condescending conversation was told it would be looked at and I would be called back. I get a call about two hours later saying there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with my car so I came to pick it up, still worrying about the obvious grinding sound coming from my breaks. The next day I brought it to a different auto mechanic and immediately was told that my rear passenger side interior break pads were entirely gone, as in they fell out or they had not been installed properly the last time I got break pads. In addition, my rotors had been damaged from rubbing against solid metal for who knows how long before it started making a sound, there were metal shavings all over my tire. If any mechanic had actually taken ONE look at my car they would have immediately seen the problem - so clearly my car was not actually checked out. Not only did he (Daniel, front desk guy) LIE to me about checking out my car, but also told me that everything was fine. God forbid I listened to him and continued to drive my car the way it was. They obviously have no care towards the safety of their customers, could ve made a lot of money just by doing my break repairs. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!

I appreciate the prompt, courteous service from Steve to the service Tech. Thank you guys for taking care of my baby. 270,000 miles an still rolling without hesitation. Great job guys

They forgot to put my oil cap back on I notice car sounded different and smelled like gas. I checked under hood about 3 miles down the road. Cap was sitting on radiator and it blew oil all over engine and windshield. So I called went back they checked oil level and wiped oil off valve cover. But got grease on hood too in process. Thank goodness I caught it before work mondayService: Oil change

When your car needs service or upgraded parts I would recommend coming to Meineke in Claymont. They are fairly priced, clean work, quick and knowledgeable. Absolutely amazing service and great staff! I can not think of a single thing that needs to be improved at this location! These guys even stayed over 3 and a half hours on a day they could've gotten off early for the Christmas holiday!!! Outstanding service and generosity! If I'm ever in the area needing more work they will be getting it.

Your online website appointment scheduler does NOT make an appointment at the actual location chosen, or anywhere in the system of your chain of stores. Your website offers coupons, but upon arrival/check in (for an appointment they DID NOT KNOW about), one finds out coupons are no longer accepted.Your website states additional services included with an oil change, such as a 23-point glance over inspection, free tire rotation, brake inspection, fluids topped off, and more, DOES NOT EXIST. The nice gentleman at the counter explained that those services are NEVER INCLUDED.I will NEVER use your company again for any car needs of mine that may arise, because I could never be guaranteed that something as simple as a scheduled appointment, won't be honored or even known about!I was lucky to be able to have my oil change completed upon arrival, but only because the location I went to wasn't very busy. Now I know why.Rest assured I will absolutely tell anyone who is looking for a simple oil change, or any other automobile service needs, to count your company out while they're beginning their search.FYI Readers of this review:The synthetic oil change service I had done on my 2015 Toyota Corrolla (with less than 50,000 miles) cost me $81.40

came in 4:30 and was out by 5:15!! very professional !! needed my headlight fixed !! very pleased with the quick fast customer service !! will definitely be back !! they even scanned to see if anything else was wrong with car appreciated that!! happy holidays !!

Good customer service in and out only issue is normally I get a receipt with recommendations of maintenance work and I didn t get one at this visit other than that I ll be back and refer freinds

Been going here for awhile. Everytime I go usually 89.00 dollars. Went this last time it was 162.00 everywhere else charging 109.00. Spoke to rob the manger about it, he didn t seem to care was smug. Never going to this place again

I had terrible experience my wind screen got damaged when I complain to customer service obviously took this dealer side didn t pay my damaged please don t go to this place they add high cost for parts my catalic converter is below $1000 and this guy charged me $1600. They will rip you off when ever they can

Worst Meineke I have ever been too. They would not accept multiple of my vehicles for oil changes because I provide my own oil. Front desk employee said he doesn t make any money off of that oil change, which is strange when they will still charge 29 dollars for said oil change with oil and filter provided. If I m mistaken 29 dollars for a 15 minute oil change is 120 an hour, pretty good labor cost to me. He then said if I did want a oil change that I would have to wait an hour when no one was doing any work at the shop yet, and if I stayed it would be 81 dollars for it. Absurd that not only the front desk employee was the most rude and unprofessional automotive service employee I have ever encountered, but also willingly admitted that if they were to take my business they would over charge me. Never going back and strongly recommend anyone who wants good quality work done to their vehicle to go to Durkee Automotive. I m not associated with them however, they have done multiple repairs timely, cost effective, and the up-most professional manner. Sad that such a know franchise could be that bad.Service: Oil change

Steve and his team are the most reliable in northern Wilmington and Claymont. Never had a single issue. Even when you're one of those annoying customers who comes into his store an hour from closing asking for oil changes they still do their best for you.10/10Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, Engine repair, Oil change

Made appointment on their website for 5:00pm, arrived at 5:00pm and waited at the desk for a couple mins to check in. After waiting for someone to walk into the office to check me in, they told me they would not take my car at all because they don t service cars after 5:00 pm, and it was 5:02. Completely unfair that my appointment was canceled because I had to wait for them to help me. There was no attempt made to call me beforehand to reschedule the oil change or to discuss the timing issue. Why have an appointment time open for 5:00pm if you re not going to honor it?
