Great service! I came here after another place had my car for 2 days for a temperature control problem. They knew right away what the issue was and got it fixed quickly. Then they had to fix the screw up from the first place who thought putting too much freon in was the solution.I'll never take my car anywhere else now!

I am a 20 something old girl and i always feel welcomed and very comfortable when coming here to get my oil changed. A lot of times car shops are rude or try to get one over on me saying all these things need to be fixed when I just come in for an oil change and nothing more. It feels good to support a small local business who appreciates your business as well. I ll always come here for an oil change on my car!!!!

Awful experience. If you want to stay updated at all on what's going on with your car, do not go here.Called and told to take the car in last Saturday morning to figure out why battery was dying/car wasn't starting. They took down my name and number and proceeded to not call me with any updates, until I finally call before close Monday for an update. They have no solution, and told me they'd call Tuesday with updates. Guess what, zero calls again on Tuesday and I call again before close, for them to tell me it could either be the battery or the starter, but they aren't sure which. Told me they will give me test results Wednesday for a failing battery so I could get it warranty replaced and go from there. No call again on Wednesday, so I finally drive over there instead of calling and they say they don't know what more to do with the car, to take it to Hyundai. Absolutely useless waste of 4 days, no suggestions to check for parasitic drain on the battery or offer any other advice other than shrugging their shoulders.UPDATE: Took it to a different mechanic nearby and it took him two hours to confirm it was a bad starter. Starter replacement solved the issue.

Please do your research I ve took my car here and the first time they claimed they fixed the issue. The second time it was a bigger issue. The third time it was the same issue as the first time. So 3 times I bring my car to this shop they lie they never fix the issue. Oh and if you ask to see the receipts for the parts they will tell you no.

They have been servicing our two cars for over three years. I have never had a unsatisfactory experience. In fact, Claymont Auto often goes above and beyond. One time they contacted the manufacture of a part they had installed a few weeks prior because it broke. Honestly, my car was having a lot of trouble and it probably broke because of the car. Nonetheless, they replaced it free of charge.The people here are always kind and respectful in addition to being available and accessible. Only drawback is the high standards you will have if you ever need to use another mechanic.

Great Shop! I moved to Delaware 3 years ago and they have been my repair center. Very helpful. They let you know and understand what they are doing and give you tips to prevent losses and damage. Awesome service. I just did my model y tire rotation here. It only took 5 minutes, and they did the job well. I'm glad that i don't need to go to the dealer waiting for hours to get it done. This is the third time I've used Claymont and I can't recommend them enough. Quoted me $400 less than another local shop while still using OEM parts and also got it done same day. This place is a great place to go for any car services. They helped me replace my car window for a reasonable price. This is the best mechanic in all of Delaware. His prices are very fair and he does the work exactly what he says he is going to do. He does a fantastic job and if there are any issues (rarely) he takes care of it right away! I took my Volvo to quite a few mechanics in the Wilmington/Claymont area. Out of all of them the guys at the Claymont Auto Repair were the best. Not only are they good mechanics and they care to do a great job with reasonable prices, they are also really good people. I learned so much from them about my car. I will miss you guys . Had a great experience in getting a small auto body work done. They completed the work within few hours as promised. Very Reasonable rates. Additionally they topped up my coolant at no extra cost. Would surely like to get the oil change done here next time.

I've used Claymont Auto Repair several times now. I've always had excellent, on time service. They are always very courteous to me. That means a lot as a senior citizen. Their prices are fair, and never over what I've been quoted. Great Mechanics and reasonably priced. I have been a customer here for 5 plus years. 3 vehicles i own and they all have close to 275,000 Miles. Once in a while i need a alternator or a windsheild wiper Motor. Ive haved cv axle replaced by them. My father just had to get a new ac compressor in his car. Very satisfied with Claymont Auto Repair. Quickly diagnosed the problem. Replaced starter, work done promptly, at a very reasonable price. My car needed towing, they recommended somebody who responded quickly and also was reasonably priced.
