Sold me a Lemon Truck . Got refunded but not the full amount . Lady in front wrote in bill of sale $300 less then what I gave her . Also when I left truck in there possession while I got title to get my refund . All of my bowling balls and shoes where stolen while in there possession.. I would not recommend this place .

Absolutely wonderful to bring my car to this shop! My normal mechanic refused to take my car for an oil change, so I sent an email to Fran's Automotive to get an appointment. They were able to squeeze me in within two days!! Incredible customer service. I'll be returning to Fran's for sure. It's hard to find a good, reliable shop these days and I felt they explained everything to me perfectly and didn't upsell a thing -- just told me what was wrong and what else I needed. They even offered to show me the issues. Anyone looking for a mechanic... this is your place!!!Service: Oil change

Fran is an honest, experienced and knowledgeable mechanic that you can confidently trust your car s care with , you can t say that often these days . He gets the job done correctly with a very fair price .I prefer to support local small businesses rather than the big box office hacks.Give this guy your business and you won t ever look back .

After years of searching, I've finally found the absolute BEST auto mechanic, close to home, professional and thorough, with the most personable and solicitous personnel, namely Allison.Fran's Automotive will provide you with honest, fair, and timely service, and insure that the job is done properly and completely. Fran replaced my thermostat housing in one day, in fact, diagnosed, replaced, and drove my car briefly to be certain all was well. Unfortunately for me, Fran found an additional issue after driving: one that's been noticeable to me for well over a year as a burning smell every time I drive the car and one that I chose to ignore (not smart on my part but ignorance is bliss lol). Turns out, there's a gasket leaking engine oil onto the manifold (I think that's what she said lol), thereby causing the odor. Fran is extremely busy, but they're fitting my car in next Thursday to correct this issue, too, again at a fair price, and I couldn't be more grateful.Lastly, I need to tell you about Allison (she runs the office). You couldn't ask for a nicer person to deal with! And not only is she extremely personable, but she offered to take me home when I dropped the car off, and she picked me up when the job was finished! When you're completely alone, this kind of human kindness is so rare, especially during a pandemic when you really don't want to call an Uber. This meant more to me than I could ever express, and she's offered to do the same next week when I return.Fran's Automotive has earned my trust and gratitude, and this review stands as a testament to that to anyone reading this. If you live in Wolcott (or anywhere else, for that matter!), instead of getting towed by AAA to the distant garages recommended by them, take or tow your car to Fran's: you won't be disappointed!PS: I selected Fran's based on reviews, especially that of my neighbor, Don Vallancourt. Thanks, Donnie!UPDATE: Today my car underwent repair of the aforementioned second issue. Not only was the job completed in a mere 4 hours, but my car was actually delivered to me at my home.
