Highly Skilled Mechanics, Kas & the gang always do right by me. They ve taken care of me and are FAIR with the pricing. Most guys in the area try to take advantage since it s a wealthier town. These guys are honest they have a true passion for what they do ! Highly recommend for all your High end car maintenance / repairs.

These guys are awesome. Stopped by after hours on a long shot that they were there. They had closed hours earlier but Cass was there and hooked me up with a repair that not only let me continue my trip but completely solved the problem. Can t recommend them highly enough.

Ana the very lovely woman who works in the office was so kind and wonderful. I had been driving a long trip back from New York where I bought a used car today, and I wanted to go through emissions. There was no one waiting and they were able to get me right in. Dilan was the very friendly polite young man that took my car in for the test and he was so nice and helpful. I was so excited that my car passed the test so that I could have no trouble going through registration. : )Both Ana and Dilan made my day extra special by their kindness and great service. Their gas station, convenience store, repair center and emissions testing station is so nice and clean and I would recommend going there for anything you might need because they are very kind and care about the people who come into their business and I appreciate them very much. If ever I'm near Westport again I will be sure to stop by. : )

I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of any car service! Kas and his team helped fix up my Mazda, which was in need of a lot of work, in a professional and timely manner. I haven t had the best experience with mechanics in my home town so when a friend recommended this place and gave glowing reviews, I had to check it out. He definitely was right! Kas took the time to explain what was needed in a way that made sense to me - someone with minimal knowledge of cars - and would keep me updated with what work was needed and prices so that I wouldn t be surprised with an unexpected bill. Other places I ve been to would hold my car for a week to get one thing done but Kas and his team were able to do it all in one day! Kas even waited after hours so that I could pick up my car the same day I brought it in! Because of the professionalism, hard work, and efficiency of this place, I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Went to a mechanic in Stamford he told me I needed a new engine, I went west port auto repair Kas was amazing told me my car was Just misfiring I needed new spark plugs only, my car is running great now. Very friendly and professional staff.

Honest, friendly, and professional!My wife had a car accident, and we had the car towed here because it was the closest shop. Chip helped me out and was super friendly and informative. He gave us options and walked us through everything we needed to know.Honestly, this is the most up front, fair priced, and helpful auto repair shop I've been to in a really long time!Not many places nowadays actually sit with you and explain what they're doing, and give you options.Thank you guys for great service and repairs! Went here for an emissions test. Staff was friendly, and the whole process was super fast and easy. Amazing considering I waited until the last minute to get it done and there was a line waiting to get theirs done too. These guys are efficient.

I m from NYC and was on my way to Maine when my tire blew out. I called this auto center and they were extremely friendly and helpful. They checked out my tire and made calls to other tire places and car dealerships to find a tire to match my car. They took great care of me and got me out of there super quick so I could continue on my trip. I would definitely recommend to anyone!!Service: Tires

Skilled, Professional, and Honest Mechanics.I d be hard pressed to believe anything negative about this business.As someone who s experienced the gamut of auto mechanics from the skilled and honest to the clueless and untrustworthy, I can honestly say that the manager, Chip, and all of the mechanics and technicians at Westport Auto Repair fall into the skilled and honest category.Long story short: My car s front Axle and Control Arm broke while driving down on a hill on a side street in Westport. I probably wouldn t be here writing this if it happened on the highway an hour earlier. With my front tire hanging off and the car unmovable in the middle of a busy street, I thought a nightmare day and a huge repair bill were in my future.Then, fate smiled upon me and when a car pulled up and asked if I needed help. Of course, I did! This kind stranger turned out to be Chip, the manager at Westport Auto Repair! Amazing! He offered to arrange a tow to the garage and take a look at it. He had already surmised what the issue was just from a quick check on the road his assumption turned out to be right. Very skilled and educated, with an easy-going, professional attitude- so rare these days.When I got to the garage, they acted quickly, evaluated the situation and explained to me the repair and the cost. Well below the price that I feared and Chip explained and detailed the work clearly and professionally.After a short time, I was on the road again, thanks to the hard work and kindness of this business.I have to say that I ve never had a better car repair experience. Was picking some things up from my vehicle that was totaled. Got a chance with me with Chip who was so kind to take the plates off my car. I also had the pleasure of meeting his uncle that doesn t smile, he s harmless (lol). The servicemen in the shop were very nice and polite as Chip introduced me to them.Keep up the great service guys; I will be back (wink)

I recommend these guys 100%. They took great care of me in diagnosing the issue with my vehicle which had serious problems on the highway close by (the differential failed). They did this with no hesitation even though I came in right when they were getting ready to close for the day. I appreciate you guys and once again thank you for your exceptional services.

Messed up my valve gasket cover repair which cost $400 in subsequent repairs, and missed a major transmission issue. I liked working with them, but they just didn't take care of my car as needed.

helping the community. I am 25 years old with not the newest and nicest car, its about 20 years old. I live across the street from the repair shop, and its easy for me to Bring my car to this shop. the guys here are friendly and are looking to help. if they know its a minor fix, they aren't going to try to make money off of a small rubber tube leak or a screw is loose etc. I would recommend (Westport local)

Don t usually leave reviews, but I felt the need to do so this time around. My car broke down in the middle of the Post Rd. this afternoon (rush hour traffic). I called the nearest shop, WestPort Auto and spoke to the service manager Chip. He was able to get my car to the shop very quickly, and was extremely knowledgeable about the problems my vehicle was having. Extremely kind, extremely helpful. He was able to get me back up and running in no time. Oh and at a VERY VERY reasonable rate. Highly recommended! I ll be going back for my oil change in a few months. Thank you WestPort Auto, and thank you Chip!

Chip, Manager, at Westport Auto repair, has been wonderful in my hour of need ! After being rearended on the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut, with my car destroyed and l in a state of shock - he stayed after hours, calmed me down and eventually managed to find a rental car for me so I could get home to Massachusetts. I am deeply indebted to him.A situation that could have been way worse, but made better by this kind man!

On 5-2-14 I was traveling from PA to RI at approx. 7:00 PM my vehicle broke down in CT with my two daughters 9 and 12. I called for roadside assistance and they told me that they found a tow service and repair facility called Westport Auto Repair that would be able to work on my car Saturday. The tow truck driver picked up my vehicle and confirmed that he worked for Westport Auto Repair and that they would work on my car Saturday and have it ready to go Saturday afternoon if it was just the water pump but he said if there was something more serious it might take longer to fix. I asked him if there was any way I could get the car on Sunday since I had found a ride to RI and back to CT on Sunday. He said yes and we discussed where to leave the keys. He charged my credit card $231.00. He told me that they would call me Saturday after they determined what was wrong with the car.On Saturday around 2:00 I called Westport Auto Repair because I had NOT received a call. The phone was answered by Frank. He proceeded to tell me that he did not have time to work on my car because his LOCAL customers take priority and he wouldn't be able to get around to my car until Monday or Tuesday. I pleaded with him that I was stranded with two young girls who need to be at school Monday and that my husband was in the hospital. I said I was promised by his employee that my car would be looked at and fixed on Saturday, if it was just the water pump. Frank told me that he really didn't care what I was told. I complained to him that this was horrible customer service. He then started yelling at me and said he really didn't care what his employee said and that even if I paid him $5,000 he was not going to work on my car because he doesn't care about out-of -state service. He then told me he was putting my car in the street! I contacted Chevy roadside assistance and told them where my car was going to be abandoned. Chevy was able contact Frank and tow my car to their service facility and replace the water pump on Monday.The Chevy dealership told me they would have had my car fixed Saturday if it had been towed directly to them.I want potential customers to know about the rude customer service and the immeasurable stress, panic and lack of human compassion that Frank from Westport Auto Repair caused our family.

These guys truly stand behind their work. I went in for a check engine light that kept reappearing on a 2009 Jeep. I had to bring it back after they thought they found the issue the first time. They apologized and said they would make it right. These guys made it their mission to find the problem and fix it, which they did. They are honest hard working mechanics who put their money where their mouth is when they say they stand behind their work.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

We have used Westport Auto Repair for everything, from oil changes, suspension repairs, replacing ac compressors, and repairing wiring harnesses. Their prices are reasonable. They are one of the few shops that will install parts provided by customers. Technicians are very knowledgeable. You can frequently get same or next day appointments. I highly recommend them.

I brought my car in for emergency repairs and these guys did an excellent job. They took the time to look beyond the presenting problem and find the root cause, saving me from having the same problem again a few hundred miles later. All within a few hours!

My car broke down on route 7 by the Georgetown area. My roadside assistance send me their phone # after they directly contacted them, looking at their info I figured they should not take long since I was 23 minutes away from their location. At 7:20 pm, 10 after the ETA and 1:10 minutes after I called the roadside assistance , I called them directly and was told to wait 15 to 20 minutes that they were on their way. 20 minutes went by after I've called, so I called the roadside assistance directly because I had the feeling the guy I have spoken to was going to be rude. He lied to the representative and said the driver was stuck on traffic on route 7 it was about 7:42 and traffic was fairly light on route 7 but I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt maybe they had another issue and did not want to be honest about it. I left my husband with the car to go look for food. Seeing that two hours have gone by, I called the roadside assistance again and told the representative the whole story and explained that the getting stuck in traffic had been a lie because I was actually going towards their location and route 7 was clear. The representative called them while I was on hold and when he came back to the phone told me the guy had said 2 to 3 minutes and hung up on him.My husband and our mechanic managed to move the car to a close location. I supposed they never came, beacuse I did not get a phone call.PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON THEIR SERVICE!!!

I've lived in Westport and the surrounding areas for most of my life. Westport Auto Repair are, by far, the best car mechanics I have ever worked with: they're skilled, nice, very fair with their prices and are all about customer service. If you're of being ripped off by auto dealer service departments, call Chip at Westport Auto Repair. He''s the best!

Westport Auto Repair has done great work on my Mustang on several occasions. This is a family owned small business and the owner Frank Sr. and his son Franky have extensive knowledge about cars and trucks and operate the company with integrity and precision. I have come to them for everything from blown hose repairs and radiator flushes to more serious engine work. I also had them install an after market performance clutch that they turned around in a day and performs beautifully a year later. If you need auto repairs or towing services, don't hesitate to call on these guys. Highly recommended in Fairfield County.

Charged $160 (cash) to tow my car less than 5 miles. Then quoted me over double for a repair job at their shop. On top of that charged me $100 for the "diagnostics" to tell me my radiator was bad. How long does it take to see the radiator is bad? I have never been charged more than $20 to diagnose anything. Stay away.
