So 90% of the workers were helpful, knowledgeable and nice. ONE guy, named Johnathan, couldn t get the skid plate off for probably like 40 minutes, then was yelling under the car that someone needed to come help him. No one came to help due to being busy so he decided to rip it off. It s only bolted in by 2 screws which have came off with ease every single time. Then another worker who was super nice came over and proceeded to say how Mr. Johnathan gets in his moods and gets impatient.

Literally ripped off my 70 yr old grandmother who purchased an oil change through Groupon for $59 and charged her $90 on top of the Groupon. Don't like dealing with people who would do anything for a dollar. There's people out there who do good business and this place isn't one of them. Scamming elderly disgusting. We weren't smart and didn't read the reviews till after the fact. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews. Most of them support the fact that this place is not it.**UPDATE **In speaking with the manager James we were able to resolve the issue. James was professional and respectful in handling the error that was made. That being said I'd still be cautious bringing your car here. Considering they were presented with the Groupon more than once and still managed to charge my grandmother full price. If we hadn't been prompt and on point we would've been out of money that with todays inflation really nobody has. Rather than giving them 1 star I'll change my rating to 3/5 solely because James seems like a decent dude.

Took my new mazda cx 5 for oil change in January 2023. It had a little over 3000 miles on it. I noticed my oil light go on recently as I passed 6000 this month June 2023. When I checked my oil there was only a trace. This makes no sense! I bought the car with 5 miles on it in 2022! The only thing I can think of is maybe the filter was not in tight or the oil plug. I have an appointment soon with Mazda to look at the car. Not happy at all with Valvoline in West Haven CT. I think I will have to end my loyal relationship with you!

My tire pressure light came on while I was driving to CT from upstate New York. I did stop and check the pressure in all of the tires (I am religious about this) and the pressure was fine, so I figured it might be a worn sensor. Still, I wanted to double check the tires before I got on the road again. Couldn t find any functioning air pumps but saw that this Valvoline was open. Asked if I could use their air pump but they offered to roll me into a bay and check things for me. Their readings confirmed mine, a bit high as it was a warm day and I had been driving several hours (and tires heat up and read higher) I did reset the light and got back safe and sound. Appreciated their kindness, especially Johnathan, who took the lead in helping me

I would like to give credit where credit is due ! Unfortunately, l find myself not able to recommend this service nor the management of this establishment ! I explained to the manager who waited on me that l wanted just an oil change I presented coupons which was, l m assuming was sent by corporate! Prior to service l showed my coupon and the manager acknowledged ! I was pressured with upsell services which l explained again that l just wanted an oil change and at last when it was bill time, l again showed both coupons of which he told me no that he would not honor. I called him out on refreshing his memory about how l first showed him the coupon. He said no you didn t and he could prove l didn t , by showing me the video tape . I agreed to have him show me the tape but then he said no he wouldn t.I would not hire this man to represent my business . Sorry even 1 star is more then generous ! Honesty is the best policy !

I have been to this location a Handful of times. Most of the time I get good service. Twice I went to get an oil change and then a few days later I get some lights showing up on my dash. My father found a part of my car a line that had not been replaced in the proper location which began giving my car problems and he fixed it. The next time I went I asked to speak to the supervisor of the west haven location. All I wanted was to let them know of the problem and for it to be done properly this time. The guy I spoke to was pretty rude when speaking to me after I told him. I will not be going back to this location.Service: Oil change

Service was great. They quoted a higher price than when I called and added 2 items thar added another 10 to the costs. Total was $114 just for the oil change. They did honor a $7 coupon. Also told me my battery needed replacement. It is just a year old.Like I said service was good but pricing was off.

Too much speel not enough genuine customer service. Was trying to use a Groupon because price high couldn't pull up seemed like I was being rushed out. So I am stuck with the Groupon. Also he didn't reset my oil life.

Chris was so patient and did a great job addressing my concerns with my tires, my wipers, and reset my maintenance needed warning that I had been living with for two years! He also found my cabin filter to replace since it was caked in dirt and dust. He didn t push anything on me and I felt very able to make decisions with no pressure. I appreciated the help!

Better than your typical quick lube place. I like that they took the time to make sure everything they did was recorded, so I had confidence that everything was done.Like most quick lube places, you won't get the same quality of service compared to a regular mechanic.

The employees really helped me out my car was overheating and I want to get a radiator flush. They also made suggestions on what might be the problem and directed me on things to do. Do topped off all my other fluids and put air in my tires which one of my tires was almost flat and I didn't realize it. Thanks guys I truly appreciate all the help.

Got an oil change here on a Saturday. Can take a while if you go in the afternoon yet the team there really tries to service you ASAP. My technician was Conner. Great guy. Very informative on what my car needed. Would come back again.

Great service , me and my sister and kids were taking a little road trip and needed some things done before hitting the road . We had 2 men working on the car they were very friendly and moved at a good pace . I believe Chris was one of the techs and he was wonderful

The main reason I would never go to this oil change establishment is that they make their employees stand out front with signs saying that there is no wait for an oil change, it s very demeaning and disrespectful. You can tell by looking at the employees that are holding the signs that they are not happy to be made into advertisement clowns. Shame on management

I know it's just an oil change place but the guys that were in there are personable friendly don't try to pressure you into buying wiper blades they are very thorough Highly recommended

Great experience. There was a wait and the whole thing took about 40 minutes, so not exactly instant if there is a line. But still top notch service. Beyond the time it took, my other complaint is the reminder sticker they put on my windshield. It said to get the oil changed after just 3,000 miles. That s ridiculous.I ll probably go again if I m in the area and see no line, but I will definitely ignore the sticker prescribing an oil change every 3,000 miles. That s just a ripoff.

Very busy, and a bit disorganized at times, resulting in lines backing up for no reason. Other times they tick over like clockwork, so I think it's less a company culture issue than a lack of experience or ability with the assistant manager on duty those days.

The guys are the nicest. Drove up today because my car was over heating. They filled me up with coolant called a car shop ahead of time to make sure they could see me. Made it to the shop and everything is going to get fixed. Great people and shop!

I am moving an hour away but will still continue going to this Valvoline location. I've been twice - once on 11/05/2020, and once today, 12/20/2020, and have been assisted by two completely different crews. Despite the two crews being comprised of different people, one thing remained consistent - they were all total professionals. Super friendly, answered all of my questions eagerly (even though some of them were definitely stupid questions), lightning fast service, and crystal clear direction. Makes you always want to come back with service like that. I'd give y'all ten stars if I could.. Give these boys a raise!Service: Oil change
