I went to Star yesterday and I got 4 new tires at a good price last minute on a whim due to the upcoming storm and the guy recommended me to have the brakes done. Got it all done with their financing option which is a total blessing and a half. I will be returning back for sure. My car drives like butter with the new tires, alignment and brakes. Very pleased.

My 2 front tires were done and all I wanted to do was head to the nearest tire shop and closet one to me didn t have my size but the owner referred me to Star Tires Plus Wheels. He told me if anyone can help and have my size, it would definitely be Star Tire Plus Wheels. When I got to Star, the place looked so upscale and immaculate I thought I couldn t afford to be there but I actually got my wheels checked on a lift for free and got the best professional customer service from Larry and Angie. I got new tires for a price better than I expected then Angie even hooked me up with financing on the charge. I thought I wouldn t qualify but Angie was so sweet and advised to try to apply because she said it wasn t based on credit. I drove out of Star like a Star!!! Big Shout Out to this spot, Angie, and Larry!!! Brandy from Brooklyn waz here!!!

10/10 recommend!! I had been calling around this morning, searching for 2 new tires that I desperately needed, and a new tire guy because mine retired! I happened to drive past and decided to pull in on a whim and I m SO happy I did! Ms. Mercado was the first to greet me. She made me feel very welcome. She was incredibly friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. As they began working on my car, they let me know there was some additional maintenance I was going to need but that I absolutely did not have to do it today. They accepted my answer when I declined the additional services at this time. No judgement or pressure to do it. Their prices were great and they offer financing if you need! Start to finish (assessing car, taking my info, replacing 2 tires and an alignment) was done in a little over an hour with no appointment as well!I m truly so happy to have stumbled upon this hidden gem. Thank you all again for your help this morning!

Star Tires customer service is unparalleled! No chaos, no smelly tires all over the place, and no funky attitudes from anyone. Nilda is a top-notch professional, from quoting me the BEST tires for my vehicle, beating the quote I received from their "nationwide" competitor, and scheduling my appointment without skipping a beat. My new tires look great and Star Tire has a new lifelong customer.

They are so awesome with tires and fixing cars. Nilda is very knowledgeable and works with you. Martin fixed my car the last few times and he's awesome! He does a great job and explains things to you so you understand what's what. I highly recommend them.

Beware!!! - dangerously negligent and inept mechanics and some of the worst customer service imaginable - we got a lift, tires and rims installed here. $3973 in work. The alignment was not correct so we took the truck back in and they agreed to correct at their cost. When they were under the truck it was noted the axel boot had a rip and needed repair - we ok ed the repair at an additional cost. Their mechanic failed to replace essential hard wear and the axel FELL OFF the car WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING IT with our two young children in the car. The tow truck driver on the scene said he could no believe how many mistakes the mechanic had made. Their insurance paid for the repairs but we were offered no apology, no refund for the dangerously negligent work, and no concession to accommodate us for the hours of out lives lost and trauma due to their negligence. Clearly they don t value the customer very much. Ginger was exceptionally rude to us and totally unaccommodating . Luckily the axel fell off on a side street and not on the highway. This could have easily caused death of serious harm. There are lots of other places to buy tires and wheels. Consider them first.

It takes me 4 hours out of my day (I live in Brookfield) to have a snow tire charge over at Star Tire. (an hour drive each way and 2 hours waiting around to have my tires changed) I cold easily go to BJs or Costco which are minutes away. I chose Star because they're a Jewish-Owned business (I'm Jewish) and they offered free tire change-over, BALANCING and $50 per season tire storage. I bought Blizzak Snow Tires two "snow-seasons" ago. I've the tires an dI believe that they are the best, performance and noise-wise. See the review by Ra Ra which tells a similar story. I am now ASHAMED that this is a "Jewish-owned" business. It gives us a bad name.BUT they now (and last time) want to charge me about $65 for balancing even though initially, when I bought my tires, they said it was free. I am NOT mistaken. They claim that "even their family" pays for balancing". (What???!!! They charge their family !!!???)When it comes to replacing my snow tires, I'll go to BJs or Costco.Note, most of their reviews are VERY GOOD but several refer to the "so-called 'Nasty' owner", Andy. I met him when I had my dispute over balancing and he did off THIS and ONLY this balancing for free, but "from now on" I would have to pay for it. That was NOT the deal that was made when the tires were sold to me.My point here is that "The Customer is always right". It's far too costly to have a disappointed, much less angry customer, then to do the right thing. Make the customer satisfied, whatever it takes. this is sometimes called the "Nordstrom philosophy", after the department store known for the absolute best customer service.After reading The "owner" response, I change my rating from 4 to 1 star.I did not request anything free "Because I am Jewish". I chose Star over Town Fair Tire because Star is Jewish-owned and I believe in working with "the Tribe" as a preference when possible.I expected Free Balancing because that is what I was told, as I stated in my review", when I purchased the snow tires 2 years ago.After seeing the response from the "Owner", I believe that both parties would have a more pleasant life if I took my business elsewhere. Which I will do immediately.As I said, "what goers around, comes around.I will avoid STAR TIRE and take my business to a facility tat understands "Customer Service" and integrity: Costco and BJ's, both less that 10 minutes from my place.The "owners" response refers to "Colorado". I don't know what point they are trying to make or refer to.

I purchased 2 tires from Star tires in July of 2023. After the installation, I began to hear what I believed to be my tires bouncing around. I drove it for a while and even had the back tires that still had 6/32 in tread, changed at town fair tire to see if that was the problem, it wasn t. (It should be noted that town fair tires are quality, and it wasn t until I saw their tires that I realized that Star tire had ripped me off.) After talking to 2 other customers about this problem, I discovered that they too had problems with their tires. I called the business and spoke to a female who was initially loud and defensive. I first informed her that I had no intentions of returning to the business to have them resolve this problem to avoid this unwarranted aggression and their shady business practices. My point for calling was to let them know that I had spent close to $500. for after market tires that they decided to install on my vehicle without my knowledge or permission. The employee began to tell me that customers had a choice to purchase a lesser quality tire to save money. This option was never discussed with me. I wasn t even aware of a lesser quality tire option. I thought that the tires they removed would be of equal quality since my old tires were factory tires. I also would NEVER purchase lesser quality tires. My vehicle is fairly new (2020) and I don t improvise with it. Also, why are these less quality tires so expensive? The call went south quickly and the business employee hung up the phone. I am WARNING anyone who purchases tires from this place that you are wasting your money and potential damage to your vehicle. This business hires unprofessional employees who rip off their customers by dishonesty. Vehicles are a necessity and customers look to retailers to have our best interest at heart. It is disheartening to see women taking advantage of other women to enhance the monetary gain for a company that they have no ownership ties to. During my visit, the tire installers were no where to be found and management had no idea where they were. That should have been a red flag for me. I will NEVER do business with them again. If I had the option to give them zero stars, that would have happened.

Angelis Murga was a great help made sure my car was taken care of. She called to make sure the work that was done solved my issues. She even entertained my child while being there. Great experience thanks to her check her out.

I went in for tires the lady there for 20 years was on point like always. They showed me the rims and called me inside the garge to check really fast no biggie out of 4 only one was good.Thank you on that great job there. So since I was there I decided not to waist more time and there time due to having to be at work and buy a set of four new rims and tires the price $1900 for me good Price. As they was working I walked into garage just to see because it look like they could not find the tires when I noticed they mistaken pulled the wrong rims and I told them that's not the rims that I picked. They fixed that so again no biggie stuff like that happens. But then I do understand the girl in the orange shirt, I did go back to garage to make sure they had all the right things and they did.Lady in orange shirt comes out sassy for my taste saying I can't be in the garage I said okay relax. Went to counter to speak with her letting her know that if I did not check you guys would have put wrong rims on my car she came off rude and I told her again and added im not going to argue with she stated you the one who mad because I told you can be back there I was like we not going to do this back and forth,I told her again if i did not check it would have been wrong rims on my car. So I decided just to walk out and have them drop my car down and leave. Spoke with the lady that worked there 20 years I told her she felt bad. I said I would come in and do my rims when angry orange is not working. Just one bad egg don't make the place bad but she needs help with her service skills. Andy I hope you read and fix enjoy your semi retirement.

Got referred here and as soon as I walked in I was judged and treated poorly by an employee. Gotta love being judged by your own people. Anyways they had nothing in stock and even if they did I wouldn't spend a $1 here. Attitude galore, you're a tire shop in West Haven not a Mercedes dealer in Beverly Hills, treat your local customers better word of mouth is huge and being in this economic climate you need people to support your business, the owner needs to have a talk with their front of house staff......

Came into star tires looking for some rims. The ladies up front hooked me up with the finance and gave me an amazing deal on four new rims and tires. The price was unbeatable. Thank you so much to Nilda and Angie. Will definitely be a forever customer from now on.

Nelida was nothing short of Amazing, resourceful and HELPFUL! Last September I needed rear tires and she helped me complete my purchase via financing..SO GRATEFUL. Today I went to get front tires and Unfortunately when I visited the Hartford location they weren t as resourceful. I went in and was declined by snap financing while working with Shayna. I left the store disappointed and felt the need to call Nelida at the West Haven location. She gave me additional financing options and sent me the link to complete the application and BOOM approved. If I never called Nelida after the denial I would have never knew about the additional options. I was able to complete my transaction in the Hartford location, however going forward I ll go back to Nelida I can tell she cares about her customers and that s the kind of person I want to spend my money with.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible experience. Did not place my tire on correctly. The tire then came completely OFF once I left the facility and was driving on a main road. Damage caused to the vehicle, will be fixed, however it does not negate the level of incompetence. I had to cancel my out of town trip and the whole ordeal is a huge inconvenience.

I walked in looking to spend about $6-7k on rims and tires for my mercedes Two employees were having a racially loaded conversation. Filled out a request for a quote online, and when I approached the counter to retrieve the information the girl looked at me with disdain and ignored any of my questions. She literally did not say one word to me. The only difference between me and her coworkers and other customers is my skin color. I will gladly bring my business elsewhere.

I thought I wanted to do business with them. I wasn't feeling the energy in the place early on with one of the cashiers. She would be the first when you walk in (In my mind, the face of the store). The gentleman I worked with briefly was nice and did as best as he could. In my professional opinion; his colleague handled another customer unprofessionally. She stated aloud how "He (Marcus) messed it up." Luckily my file was locked to get denied for their program. This review isn't for that reason at all, just pure constructive criticism and speaking on the experience there overall. You sensed her frustration when her customer was asking to just take a look at what she had on the screen. It appeared the woman in charge sat further at the other station, she told Marcus to handle something else while I filled out the app from my phone (In my mind again, what if I had questions along the way) It was just an overall poor experience although I didn't follow through on anything. The red flags were there when I walked in. I'm huge on customer service and professionalism which I bit the bullet and just paid for my tires, mounting, and alignment at Town Fair Tire. Hundreds later, but the experience was well worth it with the guys at Town Fair. Pretty much lacked over here. Thank you Marcus for your patience and courtesy during my visit.

Went in there looking for budget wheels considering i m a college student, and the first interaction i have is the lady trying to insinuate i m broke and that it s funny to her under her breath as if i can t hear it don t come here unless you re tryna pay racks and dooky service, go to like solano a or some random guy in fair haven, hell do better

The staff and mechanics at Star Tires work hard to treat their customers to great service, very good quality work for very reasonable prices. My wife and I have been bringing both of our vehicles here for several years now, and we keep coming back because we are treated well and get good service. This is the third time that I got service done with them and they ve been consistent every time. But this one visit in particular outshined the others. Shayna who covers the desk was so kind and helpful. I was emotional and stressed because time wasn t on my side but she made arrangements for me that made life easier. I highly recommend her and the rest of the team at Star Tire!

I went to Star Tires today and was met with an amazing experience. Nilda was not only helpful but she was knowledgeable and made sure that my experience was one to remember. I must also say that the gentleman who put on my tires was friendly and quick. Also the two other women who were at the front desk were just kind and helpful. I am glad that I came to Star today. I will return and send others as well.

Today I went into star tires with an issue with my catalytic converter as I was explaining my situation with the front desk associate head mechanic Angel immediate stepped into the conversation to address my concerns.Fast forward to checking into the issue, Angel immediately identified the problem. I sat back & was amazed of how much passion & dedication he put into making sure my car was up & running again ! not only did he have every tool like inspector gadget but he was beyond knowledgeable, professional & informative...I'm a regular customer but because of Angle I'm a forever customer !
