Every freaking time I am amazed at the honesty within this business. A few years back I went in to do a brake job but they told me not to spend the money because on our Jeep the rear axle was too rotted to drive safely. Then I brought my Passat in because it was shutting off. A few minor things and it was like new! Now I brought my van in because a big box shop told me I needed to get a new manifold for $900 after someone stole my catalytic converter. I went straight to Emmit s and they changed the gasket for no where near what the others said and it runs like new. Don t waste your time calling around, you can trust these guys!

I always go to Emmett's auto service. And West Haven Connecticut on Campbell avenue. Richard the mechanic is wonderful at his job. Emmett has a funny sense of humor and is a pleasure to deal with. I will constantly take my car whenever need it only to Emmett's auto service.

I am disabled, cancer and a neurological disorder, I got a flat tire and when roadside assistance came my spear was flat also needed a new valve stem. Went to 2 other garages in west Haven they couldn't be bothered, went to Emmett's and was taken care of right away, and not expensive either. Rich was awesome and really went beyond to help me. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I personally dislike mechanics and don t trust anyone to work on my car. That being said, this place would be an exception for me. I broke down on the highway because my cylinder 4 was misfiring (I d thought I fixed the issue a month prior). Got it towed here and turns out the part I put in was faulty. They fixed it and had me back on the road the next day. Pretty decent guys there, that are cheap and fast. Would recommend to my family.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Emmett also has an Auto body repair shop. I had a dent behind my wheel well in the front. They did a fantastic job fixing the dent and matching the paint. I highly recommend their auto body shop. Great work at reasonable prices.Services: Painting, Body & TrimServices: Painting, Body & Trim

I'll keep it simple there were 4 items I needed fixed. He fixed 2 out of the 4. He replaced my back up camera charged me $454.00 the actual cost of the part is _61.00 .Enough said. I'm going to the BBB and file a complay. I want my money back.

Emmet is short on conversation but long on car knowledge. He and Ritchie run a laid back but very professional, honest and reasonable shop. He's become my go-to car guy!

Scam. They tell you they found water in your gas tank and show you a cup of water. For over $300 i would have done this myself. I will never return here. The head guy there was majorly dismissive and argumentative. Avoid these meat heads at all costs!!! Who knows what else they did to my vehicle it broke down completely months later. This place is criminal.
