I was in a car accident on Christmas eve and the insurance from the person that hit me had me bring my car here and let me just day they have been so great with us!! They were quick and had the car done before the estimated time, they kept us well informed during the whole process and were so kind and pleasant to work with. The lady at the front desk answered any questions we had and was just so polite. Thank you guys for the great work on my car it looks beautiful and Drives great now! Definitely recommend this place for anyone needing repairs or body work done on their vehicle.

I arrive at a busy supercharger, immediate remarks that were homophobic and straight up disrespectful, oh looks like it s happy hour for the gays . I was speaking to another vehicles owner helping them and over hearing my conversation when I said thats why I own a tesla your employees retorted with why cause your gay . And then starts an argument with me when I politely ask if they could stop making comments.Your employees are disrespectful and rude.

Recently had a great Experience with their body shop. I used them because they are a preferred vendor for Geico insurance.I was worried that I would receive substandard service. The service was top notch.The whole process from start to finish was smooth, and they did a great job. Highly recommend them.Service: Body & Trim

I was hit and the insurance Co of the other driver accepted liability..The insurance Co had me come to Durable for the repairs...It was simple and easy...Enterprise came and met me when I dropped my car off for my rental car...They met me there again after a couple of days when the car was done sooner than expected...after the repairs,you couldn't tell it had over $ 3000 in damages..I would Def recommend them..sorry so late in writing this review but it needed to be posted..Great job staff..ty!

Bernie was the driver I believe maybe Ernie but he helped me with my Hyundai tow and this guy went so far above And beyond what he was required - he was amazing , wonderful man., wouldn t rest Until I was taken care of and believe me we kept having issues after issues this dude needs a promotion a raise and/ or to train other tow guys the right way to perform customer service. he was absolutely a pleasure and really helped me in a tough situation for nothing but his own time If u need a tow call these Guys and ask specifically for Bernie!

If you are renting a car, double check its condition before driving away. I picked up a rental at this location through Avis but it ended up braking down not long after. Tires were bald, over 10 years old, and 20+ psi over inflated. I even had to buy/add some fluids because some were 100% empty.

I just picked up my 2006 Chrysler 300 after only 1 week of body shop servicing and I cannot be happier with the result! Unfortunately.... I can't say the same for the auto shop. Before I came to pick it up I was told that the car had a battery/alternator issue and that I should put in a new battery first before I check the alternator. I knew my battery was kind of on the older side so I spent $182 for a new battery. Come to find out, their tests showed that my problem was actually with the alternator and not entirely the battery. To fix the alternator I'd have to spend upwards of $1,000 worst case scenario. All they could tell me was that "The car won't make it to the end of this street in its condition" and that I had "no choice." Well, I don't have an extra grand lying around.. So I took my chances and drove it home. I figured that before hand I never had a problem, and it even has a new battery in it now. So 20 minutes and 12 miles later, I made it home safely without a problem! No lights, no sounds, absolutely zero problems! To be sure, I waited about an hour and started the car back up and it runs perfectly fine, and even drives better than I remember it driving before I had the bodywork on it. Granted, I know sometime in the near future I'll need to have the alternator repaired. Bottom line: The body shop did an amazing job, and I'd give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could. However, I'd give the autoshop a 1 out of 5 simply because they made it sound like such a dramatic situation when in reality, it never was, and the car still runs fine. All in all I give them 4 out of 5 mostly because of this amazing bodywork. Nice job!

Their tow truck driver Edward G. Intentionally tried to damage my vehicle. The alternator went dead on my Lexus SC430. We jumped the car so he can drive the car onto his flat bed. My windows were up and he rolled my windows down while it was raining and left my car in the street when I asked him to leave it in driveway. Do not use this company for anything.

These guys did an amazing job on my truck! You cannot tell where the damage was. It was such an easy process to drop off my truck, pick up my rental right there, and come back a week later. I have recommended them to several people already. Great job guys and thank you so much!!

Rosario was amazing as he helped us through after a hit and run to my daughter's car 2 months ago. He gave us sound advice, worked with the insurance appraiser on our behalf and in our best interest.I just had my car done after a hit and run with damage to the front. Rosario again was awesome and Keith took over while Rosario was on vacation. They both made me feel less stressed about the situation and dealing with the insurance company.My insurance company paid for a rental with Enterprise which drops off the vehicle and picks it up at Durable, which is a huge help and stress reliever. I wish I knew about that service 2 months ago when we went through this same situation with my daughter's vehicle while it was at Durable. It would have saved the drive going to Watertown Enterprise back-and-forth.I would definitely go back if I ever have issues with another vehicle and highly recommend their services and this company. Thank you all who was involved and anyone I didn't mention. All the staff were great. Rosario is what made me go back the 2nd time with my vehicle after I experienced how he took care of us with my daughter's car.

As a customer who used Durable, I did so with 15 years of experience in the Auto Body Repair business. Dave ( owner ) and his staff provided me the best service experience I've ever received, from any service company. My truck that was hit with only 1k on the odometer means the world to me. My truck was repaired and refinished to the highest standards, MINE. If I can't find a flaw on my own vehicle, trust you can send your car or truck to Durable, they will exceed your expectations. On a scale of 1-10, Durable goes to 11. Many thanks to Dave and his staff. I'd also like to thank the adjuster from Geico who also made that side of the process, painless.

I used them twice to fix my car the first time it was the under my truck and they said I had a lifetime warranty. Well my car is messed up again under the bottom. I wanted to take it to durable but they re going to tell me they have to check to tell me if it s part of the lifetime warranty I understand they didn t fix the whole bottom part but why won t they tell me what they fix and what is part of the warrantyBut they did a great job on the front end of my car I hit a deer and they fix my car. Perfect that s why I don t understand why they just won t tell me what part of the warranty and what s not.

Jay is awesome and I ve started using this place a lot more recently for my car rental needs.. I used to always go with Enterprise but their inventory has pretty much been non existent recently. These guys always have cars and the whole process is just fast and easy.Update: bringing this place down to 1 star. Jay let me down bad. We picked up a car late from our flight plus the Avis office was a circus wherein had to wait over an hour as a preferred member to pick up my car. Needless to say I was going to miss my drop off time of 11:30 at the Waterbury office which closes at 12:00pm. So I called Jay and told him about the situation and he said they have a drop box for the key and I can return it in the afternoon and when he comes in on Monday he ll check it in for Saturday and I should be fine.Instead, He came in on Monday and checked it in for Monday and Avis charged me over $500 for a car I had for a few hours.A huge let down after quite a few rentals from this location.

Highly recommend Durable to anyone needing any sort of repair or body work. Came here after the place I wanted to go told me they were over a month out before they could touch my car. Durable exceeded my expectations. They should really have 5 stars. My car looks great, the staff was phenomenal, especially the lady who works the desk, she was very professional and I appreciate her help with my rental. They also fixed my ac which the guy at Blasius wouldn t fix for me and kept lying to me, telling me the part was on back order. Found my new spott, although I hope I don t need them again in the very near future haha. Thanks guys!Services: Painting, Body & Trim, Air conditioning

I would give them no starts. Tow truck driver rude and complaining he was told my car was somewhere else. They are contracted with Triple A. It s your job!I had my old car there a few years ago for body work. They did a bad job. Paint peeled 2 months later and they would not honor warranty. Their terrible all around. Driver C-19 Bernie L. arrived to a call to tow a car for us on Auburn St in Naugatuck on Saturday July 15th & was VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! And he had a GIRL in the truck with him. He texted us that he was here, but when we went outside, he was not-he was 2 houses down the street from the correct address. I tried to flag him down with the flashlight on my phone while walking towards him & he slowly crept up the street. When I told him that the driveway was on the side of the house, he said I hope it s not at this house with the party going on . I told him there was no party & we only had to move one car. When he hesitated to get out of the truck to talk to us, he finally did & we told him the car couldn t be started because all of the antifreeze had leaked out. He stood real close looking down on us trying to be intimidating & attempted to tell us that the car still had coolant in the engine (no-it did not-we work on cars & it was definitely empty). He swore & walked back to the truck & drove away. We will be calling Durable directly on Monday. UNACCEPTABLE!!!Service: Car towing

Car broke down Friday Night. Called AAA Saturday morning. They sent Durable Automotive to tow the car. Jeremy from Durable picked me up earlier than they predicted Saturday Morning. I called AAA a couple of days ago and when I saw it was Durable answering the tow call I became anxious. I'd dealt with them several times in the past (various vehicles) and it wasn't a good experience. When the driver arrived, I held my breath waiting for the drama to begin. Instead I met Bernie. He went above and beyond, trying to figure out why my trailblazer gave up on me. He is a married man with a family and it shows, he didn't just drop my vehicle at the first empty spot and leave. He told me he was the first on shift that night and I was the first call at that. I was beyond stressed, because my vehicle was half in and out the lane and the cops were already being Jerks. I couldn't have asked for a better person to answer my call. He told me he figured the fuel pump went ( I heard the clicking days before and didn't make the connection- go figure). He definitely deserves a raise or promotion. He is a wonderful representation of the new ownership at Durable. Thankyou again Bernie, for making sure not only my vehicle was left in a safe place but that I got home too. All the best to the Mrs. She's doing it right!!!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. During the ice storm, I had an accident..The whole team was professional, knowledgeable and had constant communication with me during the process. Very happy with the service, Keith did a great job from the estimate to scheduling to completion he took care of everything and finished on time. The paint and body shop also did an awesome job the bumper color and workmanship was flawless. I would definitely recommend using Durable for any repairs you need.

I had what appeared to be a minor fender bender, with an iron fence, on a dark, rainy night. The fence wasn t even scratched, but it looked like someone had taken a can opener to my right front fender. GEICO, my insurer, directed me to this shop. The shop arranged for me to drop off my car at my convenience, arranged to have a rental car waiting for me when I arrived, and had my car ready for pick-up a day ahead of schedule! They provided regular updates on the progress of the repairs, and did outstanding repair work. My car was better than new! Should the need arise again - and I hope it won t - I would definitely return to Durable Radiator & Auto Body, Inc., and I will definitely recommend them to others. Their staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and their bodywork is outstanding!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

This is my second time at Durable for body damage. I came back a second time because they did a wonderful job the first time. I m really leaving this review because their customer service is amazing. They were extremely patient with me as I waited 3 MONTHS to receive a check to cover the repairs to my vehicle. They called to check up and remind me I had contacted them, because it had been so long, but they never made me feel badly about anything. (Even though I did anyway because it shouldn t have taken that long to begin with). Once they got my car in, the bumper repairs only took 2 days even though they originally told me it would take 4 and that was after they found additional damage internally and still had to order more parts to fix it.I absolutely recommend them for body repairs! Everyone I dealt with over the phone or in person was very professional, understanding and kind. Please consider them next time you have body damage.Service: Body & Trim

They take care of all aspects of your situation including coordinating rental car services. It was all very convenient. They also provide daily updates on the status of your car. Durable was a recommended auto body repair facility by the insurance company of the person who damaged our car.They kept us up to date via texts while the car was repaired. The repair was completed on schedule.If I didn't know where the damage had occurred, I would not have been able to point it out.They even cleaned the car; outside & the interior.Service: Body & Trim
