It's a roof over your head. It. Minimal towels, absolutely no amenities. Not even a little bar of soap. There IS a microwave in the hall by the office. Burn holes all over the blankets. Holes in the walls and door to the bathroom.... And YO! They said they wouldn't give us a room anymore because we had a cat. He was in the CAR. But drug dealers hanging out in the lobby, and crack hos knocking on our window and door at 2 & 3 in the morning, looking to score are quite welcome.Seriously, if you can afford even $15.oo more, stay elsewhere. We were stuck in town and broke.... Should have slept in the woods. Woulda been cleaner.

Mirror on the ceiling was probably the best part. Rough crowd that comes through there. Bars on the windows. 1 towel for a 2 guest room. Pretty sure they have bed bugs.The pictures are a strong exaggeration. Would not recommend. I will not be returning.

Very quiet motel. Not too many people in the rooms rn. Very spacious hallways and rooms are somewhat small. No microwave or refrigerator in the rooms and $90 a night.Walkability: Very close to the downtown area. Restaurants and fast food places are in walking distance

A down low and dirty place. The kind of place you go to get all kinds of services of the night and essential products in our fair city. Amazingly this place is allowed to continue to operate. Stop by any day around checkout time and take a look at the opioids crossing the street as they begin their treck for the day. Don't worry friends the bus WILL get you there.

The place is disgusting. Everything is dirty. I posted a picture of my pillow case. They tried to say I did that. I didn't. Some rooms are worse than others but every shower and bathroom I have seen is disgusting the floors are falling apart the walls are very dirty, and the furniture is dirty. Any review that says the place is clean and the staff is friendly must be a friend because they're lying. This place is absolutely filthy there's bugs on the bed there's blood on the walls Blood on the pillows. I wouldn't recommend to stay here to my worst enemy they should pay me for having to stay in that filthy mess

I had my 2yr old and 5 month old kids with me and the clientele was horrible from the outside as well as the inside. It was not doable with kids touching stuff plus it's the 1st hotel I ever walked out of. The owners were pleasant and gave me no problem with a refund. I think they understood we had kids and they knew how gross and dangerous it was. DO NOT GO! I am not a fancy person but I would never stay here

The place is the mostly disgusting place l have walked on my life. Everything is dirty. I believe the rooms never ever has been cleaned before . Some rooms are worse than others but every shower and bathroom I have seen is disgusting the floors are falling apart the walls are very dirty, and the furniture is dirty. Any review that says the place is clean and the staff is friendly must be a friend because they're lying. I wouldn't recommend to stay here.the place should reported the health department or sanitization or whatever how can do something about it.

Disgusting room cigarette burn holes in the sheets. No water pressure in the shower. Our refrigerator did not work so I asked for a room with a working one and the rude lady up front said none of them work in any room. Vomit spewed all over the carpet in hallway while walking upstairs to get to room. Don't ever stay here. Completely disgusting.

Best price around for a place to stay. The room was clean, though definitely looks like some guests have been less than respectful to the space. It's a shame seeing stuff like this but it is close to downtown Waterbury where most businesses have locks in the bathrooms to keep out drug users.The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick, no nonsense. I had to ask for the WiFi password and was able to use it no problem. It likely changes often so people won't use it after checkout.I might not take my kids here but that's more of a reflection of the area than this business.Bathroom was also clean and so we're the towels. All in all, I would stay here again if I had to

5/5Big Apple motel doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you get to your room you'll find that the amenities are quite breathtaking! Toilet paper is conveniently stuffed in the smoke detectors so you can smoke your crack in peace and quiet! The staff is welcoming and friendly, as are the other guests! Once I forgot my pipe but my neighbor was eager to share. I also must mention the motel is a short walk away from the finest 7-Eleven around!5/5 Would bender there again!

Would never return there! Staff was rude and and rooms were over priced. After getting my key and entering the room there were burn holes on the carpet and comforter. Not to mention the two drunk guys fighting in the lobby! Any 5 star review that is up there is B.S and is more than likely friends with the owner trying to help out. Owner response to every 5 star review, but not to any 1 star rating explaining himself and the filthy motel.

Dont need to say much cause the pictures can tell you. But this room was discussing had a strong bad smell. We try changing but wasn t able to because they didn t have no other room with two beds. The beds were super uncomfortable i think the inside wood were broken you was able to feel the holes. The room was super hot that even one of us went to sleep back in the car. This was room 102. The bathroom was super dirty too i don t recommend you to use the towels they had stain, they smell & had holes.

I am not a very picky person when it comes to a place to stay for a night while travelling. The local health authorities should shut this motel down. Do not go (unless you are looking to get high or laid). The photo iis the broken air conditioning unit in the room. Service gets 2 stars only because of one employee there who really was trying to make things right.

Made a reservation, couldn't even check in.Receptionist claimed I didn't have a reservation.On her phone the whole time and said the motel couldn't look up my reservation by reservation number.Had to find other accomodations in the area.

I would just like to say there are always some bad apples out there and I have known the owner for over 6 years now, he is a smart intelligent honest fair kind of person. He has good employees and keeps the place clean. And the prices are very reasonable, go down to the Marriott if you want to compare prices LOL

Worst experience at a motel ever! The room was very dirty and not well kept and the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. They also stole my money by kicking me out 16 hours before I had to check out for no reason. Absolutely terrible experience. Tons of sketchy people coming through the joint making it very unsafe. There's other mores in the area that will treat you better.

I stayed at Big Apple Motel for two days, the staff was very friendly, and room were super cleaned. This motal met all of my expectations, staff was professional, friendly and always willing to assist me. Matter fact, the staff allowed me to check in early. I recommend this to anyone that is looking stay for cheap motel yet comfy, and cozy motel

Stayed for 4 days. Great price, location is not as bad as many other reviewers are saying. Close to the main street of waterbury where you'll find many food options, as well as being close to a mall. Staff are very nice. Rooms are clean. Will definitely recommend to anybody needing a place to stay in the are.

I stayed at this rat trap last nite because its within easy walking distance of several downtown bars and clubs, 1st thing upon opening the door to my room I was welcome with a unbearable stench. I told this to front desk, a I was given a air freshener. Next the bed bedsheets but no blanket or bedspead!bedspread! After finally dozing off to sleep, the fire alarm goes off, trust me save your money and sleep in your car. You'll have a better experience.

Staff was quite rude, rooms poor with burned carpet and priced way to high. Hotel would have been fine if rooms were under $30. I might pay the regular price if the room I got looked anything like the one in their pictures.

I stayed here with my husband for a night in a one bed room and they put us in one room and it smelled like dog n pee then moved us again and they didn't have remote for tv so moved again to rm 210 and as we was settling in we found crack pipes so went to staff told her bout it n she caught attitude saying when i cleaned room it wasnt there and had big attitude . i asked 4 refund and she denied it .. .. SMH tried posting pics but not letting me

Nasty filthy place ,if u want to come out with bed bugs bites then stay there , but I would never step a foot in that place uploaded the photo of my hand in there pictures. all bitten up my husband also got bit where not from Waterbury. We where just visiting family members an decide to get our own space ! Absolutely will not recommend this place if I can give this place a no star,that will be great!

Spent two nights at this place and the staff was amazing. The rooms are up to date and beat. It s affordable! There s also a great pizza place around the corner called Jimmys Pizza. Definitely recommend staying here.
