John is responsive, honest and Overall fantastic! We feel so grateful to have him here in town. We've had several alignments as well as new tires for two cars in the past few years and each has been a wonderful experience with superior customer service!

Having a trustworthy and knowledgeable independent repair and tire shop is a rarity. These folks rate a 5+ consistently. 110% honest, prompt, fully capable, and fairly priced. Like the good old days.

Awesome place to go for tires and auto service. The owner John is your first contact and he is honest as the day is long. Takes the time with each customer to make sure that they have the right solutions.

The guys here are awesome. I used to just buy my tires here but recently started using them as my mechanic. I called them in the morning to make an appointment for my brakes, and they were able to fit me in that afternoon. John even waited for me to pick up my car after hours. They are never condescending and I never feel like I m being ripped off.

Went in for an oil change recently and will continue to come here in the future. Very friendly and efficient staff, the lobby was clean and comfortable to wait in, and overall it was a great experience.

John and his team are just great. I live out of town and needed a mechanic to perform a full pre purchase vehicle inspection on a used car that I was buying in the area. Not only did they squeeze me in last minute, they gave a detailed report outlining any concerns. Found a small Engine Oil Cooler line leak that would have cost me close to $600 if I didn t have it inspected before taking delivery. Friendly, efficient, and honest! If I lived closer, I would be using them for all my vehicles!Service: Vehicle Inspection

Let me start by saying: I never write reviews. I recently just bought a car a month ago and moved to CT a little over a year ago from NY. I don't have a trusted car mechanic here yet but it looks like I just found one! John was very honest and straightforward about the noises I was hearing in my car and helped me determine what I need to do in order to diagnose and repair the problem. He took his time explaining the issue thoroughly and helped ease my extreme stress about the issue I came in for. He did not try to force any maintenance on me that I felt was unnecessary. I will be getting my services from Wallingford Tire and Auto from now on because I trust them! It makes a lot of sense that they don't have a single review under 4 stars!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Could not be happier with the service I received here. They performed one of the most thorough pre purchase inspections I've ever seen. The manager, John, was incredibly helpful and professional. He talked to me extensively about the inspection they would perform before even receiving the car. After performing inspection, he spent a considerable amount of time in the phone with me going over every detail they found. He even gave advice on how to use what they found to negotiate a lower price for the vehicle. After this experience, I would absolutely outky bring my vehicle to them for any servicing I needed.

I don't normally write reviews and this is not a paid for or prodded endorsement. I have been coming here for tires and repairs for several years now. John has always been a straight shooter and explains the options, repairs and the invoice thoroughly. Recently had to have extensive repair done to the front suspension of my truck. He kept me up to speed on the progress and a major problem that they ran into. They worked overtime and got the job done a day earlier and for less than the quote- I doubt I would have even known the difference. That is honesty. Amazing service and very nice people! They checked my tire pressure and brought it up to the recommended PSI quickly even though they were booked solid. I go there every time I have a low tire pressure warning on my dash. They got me back on the road in no time again on Thursday! They are the best in town for customer service! My husband and I have a new place to buy our tires!

I have the trust in them to be able to do the repairs. They find the problem and fix it, but also trust that they are not going to push you into unneeded service just to generate fees. John and his team always give excellent, efficient service, provide knowledgeable answers to your questions. Price is reasonable. Make you feel like a friend not just a customer.

Had four winter tires put on by these guys today. It was my first experience here. The prices were competitive and the service was MUCH better than other local tire places I've used before. John took the time to help me select the right tire for my needs and gave options for me to choose from at different prices. My car was ready on time as promised.It's nice to find great customer service still exists and you are able to find it right at this local shop. Highly recommend!

It s always easy to schedule service as the owners answer the phone. So far every service visit has been flawless unlike my previous two visits to a Ford dealer (wrong oil type) and a local mechanic who did not connect a sensor properly and I had to bring the car back, both were young and both hounded me for reviews which I didn t give.

Mike and John are two of the most honest guys you will find in the auto repair business. They always take care of their customers. The pricing is fair. I would not hesitate recommending them to family and friends.

Friendly staff, very knowledgeable too. A little overpriced though. Was quoted $880 out the door for 4 new tires (mounted, balanced, plus an alignment) Asked if I paid cash would it be cheaper, was told that price was the lowest they could do. Got a second opinion elsewhere and paid $680 for the same tires, mounted, balanced, with an alignment.

I have been dealing with Wallingford Tire and Auto for many, many years. John was a friend before becoming my husbands and my mechanic. I have absolute piece of mind going to WT&A knowing that they will be fair and honest with the repairs. I highly recommend John and Wallingford tire and auto. I bring all of my family s cars here when they need service. I have to admit, for a long time I thought the shop only did tire repairs so I didn t think to bring my cars here. However, now that we know the great job John and his team do on auto service I won t go anywhere else.

Key criteria for auto repair for me is trust - you have to be able to trust that your repair place will find the problem and fix it, but also trust that they are not going to push you into unneeded service just to generate fees. John and his team always give excellent, efficient service, provide knowledgable recommendations and observations, and never try to push unnecessary work at me. I've happily used Wallingford Tire for many years for all my vehicles and won't be changing service providers any time soon. Quality done right, the way it should be.

I went in to get advice on new tires. John took the time to understand my driving habits then recommended tires and gave me a fair price. I bought the tires and during the process, learned that their service goes beyond tires so I've been taking my car there for all of my car's maintenance ever since.

I have been taking my cars to Wallingford Tire and Auto for about 20 years and I have never been disappointed. They are a family owned and operated business and are honest, trustworthy and go out of their way to be accommodating. I have gone to other places for oil changes and other smaller jobs and have usually regretted it. I end up paying more and the other guys undoubtedly find something else that needs unnecessary fixing.
