Neil and Safe T are awesome to work with. Ive brought a couple different cars to them on a few different occasions and each experience has been great. Fair, efficient and above all else they re honest. Highly recommend!!!

Neil, at the front desk, took his time and was very informative. I appreciated how he educated himself with my vehicle. I also appreciated the thorough inspection on the vehicle since it is new to me. My first experience was a good one.My only criticism would be this: I denied the battery and air filter service since I can do those. This was the opportunity to tell me how simple the air cabin filter was to install as well. This was ultimately my mistake for not looking into it myself beforehand. That being said, I called back for something and Neil gave me some tips on how to change the battery so ultimately very helpful.I would recommend this shop especially for someone with a new used car to take advantage of the free inspection they offer.

A rather long review but worth the read. I have a F250 6.7 ltr that was purchased thru carmax and with a maxcare extended warranty (btw, highly recommend this extended warranty and has served me well over the years with other vehicles). I initially brought my truck to a Ford dealership to repair a well known and a common upper oil pan leak... I had done extensive research on the cause, the fix and the aproximate cost for said repair... Ford stealership's estimate was 4k over the going rate for this repair job... again knowing what the cost range should be I promptly retrieved my truck to search for reputable shops thru repair pal/ maxcare's warranty referral program. I found saf t had very good reviews and a well rounded repair shop, versed in all vehicle repairs makes/models. The truck was dropped off for diagnostics and within a day they had submitted the estimate to maxcare and received approval for the repairs... the repair cost was well in line with what I had researched. Neil and his team completed the repairs and I was very satisfied from beginning to end. I would highly recommend them for ur automotive needs.

Neil and his team are extremely professional and trustworthy. This is the first time I used them but it will not be the last. I ordered 4 tires online which were delivered here for installation and alignment. They definitely delivered everything I needed and more. I plan to return for other auto services. Their excellent reviews are well-earned.One piece of advice is don't plan on waiting for your car. The waiting room is small and there is no coffee. Due to the attention to details, waiting time is slightly longer than usual - but I rather have excellent service than a cup of coffee!

If I could give 6+ stars, I would. Neil was the most professional and helpful person I've ever encountered at an automotive repair facility. Even the warranty company left me a message about my car and commented on what a nice guy Neil was. He was super helpful despite the fact that my warranty company couldn't cover the main problem - they did discover a different and equally/ more important issue that WAS covered. He gave great advice and was very knowledgable. I highly recommend this place for any service, especially if you have an aftermarket warranty.

Neil and his team went over my car, an older Subaru, with a fine tooth comb. Neil was meticulous about explaining to me each and every problem along with available solutions and cost and time frame on each one. He gave me time to make my decision to keep or scrap my car. I ultimately decided to not keep my car. However, he was extremely helpful in explaining what to do legally to make that happen as I wasn't sure of the process. They safely removed my belongings from my car a few things that I had forgotten and made the arrangements for me. There was no pressure to repair it and instead of turning in the plates. Thankfully moving forward I will have a better mechanic then I did in the past. I would highly suggest to anyone if you are on the fence about keeping or getting of a car in need of repair you do the diagnostics for a reasonable fee with Neil before making your decision. You will not be rushed or pressured but told to do what is the best decision for you and then supported in that decision.

My wife goes to SAF-T aka Neil's for all her car work. She highly recommended them for their honesty, friendliness, and for never making her feel pressured about anything.After having gone to them a couple times myself now, I can say she was on the money. Can't recommend these guys enough.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I have had the pleasure to work with Neil for 7 years now. He will not try to sell you on unnecessary fixes to your vehicle. However, he will make suggestions for fixes in the future, if he was to find something that will cause trouble down the road. In the past, he brought to my attention certain fixes that I should look into (this saved me financially knowing what to expect during my next visit).

I ve been going to SAF-T for a couple years now and I wouldn t go anywhere else. They are always honest with me about what s going on with my car, when I have an emergency they always fit me in, and they do good work. Neil is so kind and takes the time to explain things to you so you feel like you have control over what goes on with your car. Can t recommend them enough.

Neil took care of me and my car which is 26 years old Mercedes. I didn t know if they were capable of fixing a car like mine. They diagnosed it and fixed it relatively quickly. I will go back again. Next time I have any issues

Where can you take your car in for repairs and get treated like a human by someone who is skilled, knowledgable and empathetic towards your situation, you ask? Here! At SAF-T Auto Center in Wallingford! Neil and his crew were beyond accomodating, extremely thorough, and knowledgable. I had an emergency, as most repairs are I'm sure, so I brought my vehicle in when my engine started having seizures all of a sudden and every bell and light indicator was yelling at me. They did a complete diagonstic of my vehicle and found the culprit. A faulty plug that had cascading effects. From damaged coils to blown fuzes to complete loss of one half of my engine. Due to poor maintanence performed by the previous shop (not going to name names but one which I'll never use again!). Regardless, Neil hooked me up and stayed on top of things. Very communicative, friendly and empationate. They've made our family life long customers.

Neil and his team spotted a number of problems that I did not know about. A brake line which was about to fail was spotted and fixed before I had an accident! The team spotted other items which will be addressed in the near future, but now I know what to keep an eye on in the meantime. I have been going to Saf-T for several years, and Neil has always treated me fairly, and kept the cost down whenever possible. Most times the service was completed the same day!!! When I picked up my Durango today, I was pleasantly surprised that my vehicle was washed, tires shined, wheels cleaned and all bird droppings removed! I will be going back for a long time to come! Neil and team ALWAYS go above and beyond for me! God bless the team!!!!!

I ve been going to Saf-T for over 2 years now & I don t think I ll be able to bring myself to go anywhere else. You guys are fantastic, I can t thank you enough for everything you do. Everybody is SO patient, and any issue or work needed is explained very thoroughly before any work is started so everyone is on the same page. Neil & his team are honestly just the best!

This place has the best customer service! Their pricing is fair and I never feel like I m being taken advantage of, Neil s taught me so much about how cars work by explaining why things happen in such great detail when I bring in my car. This place was a great find when I moved to the area at the beginning of the year.

Went to Saf-T-Auto due to their good reviews. Most of these must be fabricated because my experience was completely the opposite. I was charged 20-30% higher rates for pretty much every service I completed with Saf-T Auto from oil changes to tire replacements. The last service I needed was for a battery replacement. They charged me $300 for a battery replacement plus labor, which I later learned should have been much less, going rates are $194. Five days later, my car would not start again. According to AAA I was given a dysfunctional battery by Saf-T-Auto for $300. They did not do even a cursory check of the electrical system per their paperwork when replacing the battery. To top it off, AAA let me know they didn't even put the battery in correctly. The way it was positioned was extremely hazardous to the battery and the car. Although the battery apparently has a warranty, I would rather lose $300 than go back to this service center. If you're interested in having your car actually work - do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. Staff are rude, arrogant, and are focused on saving their face and maximizing profit. They're not in business to help their community. There are auto centers that charge fairly and genuinely care to provide great service. This is not that place. Feel free to learn from my mistake.

As a single woman you often experience mechanics that try to take advantage of you. You find they lie or jack up pricing because they think you will pay. Saf-T auto is as far from that as you can get! They are so kind and explain things so you understand the problem. They do not charge you for things you don t need!

Neil is excellent at communicating with customers on what stuff can wait to be fixed and what needs to be fixed asap. He also has a great group of people who can figure out different ways to fix something without breaking the bank
