Erik and Gen X Motors is by far the best auto shop out there. They really know what they're doing and they're honest, which is what you want. Whenever I need work done, I always go here and they've kept my car on the road for nearly 200,000 miles.

Erik and John are amazing mechanics and honest people. They service both of my cars, a 2015 VW Golf and a 1988 VW Fox. They managed to get my Fox back on the road after a long hiatus and I could not be happier. They will do the necessary work and be honest with you if no work is required. I highly recommend Gen X Motors.

The guys at gen x are amazing and trustworthy. My wife and I have known Erik for a long time. I drive 45 mins to bring my car there if that says anything on how much I like the work gen x does. You won't regret bringing your car here.

I would never go anywhere else in CT for my car. It s so refreshing to deal with a mechanic who is not only super sharp but also totally ethical and just an overall really great person. A very fair price and fixed my car flawlessly a little hard to find but worth it they also are great to deal wth explained my repairs and didn't make me feel intimated at all love these guys

Xmas eve was turning out to be a disaster for my fianc� and myself. Our car has had an oil leak since the summer that ruined my compressor. We got the compressor fixed with another mechanic but the oil leak was never found and or solved. To our surprise Xmas eve, the alternator had been ruined due to the oil leak, leaving us stranded for the holidays and with no possibility of delivering our gifts and seeing our loved ones. Erik saw me and my fianc� checking out the car for the oil leak and possibly looking clueless as ever lol. Like an Xmas miracle he stopped by and asked us if we needed help. We graciously took whatever help we could get and honestly.. I don t think I ll ever go to anyone else but Erik and or Gen X motors! He did such a phenomenal job! He s super kind and professional as is his front staff! We are just ever so grateful that he would take the time to help out on such a busy holiday weekend. If your looking for great work with honest kind people that you can trust go to Gen X motors! We will be recommending him and his business to our friends and family.

I started using Gen-X Motors based on a referral. Also thought it was great watching 2 people start their own business. Once I started analyzing my receipts I started to notice discrepancies. I was being charged extra labor 1 extra labor was not applied. I was also charged for Heavy Duty Parts when I was getting much less expensive parts installed. I also brought my vehicle back after work was completed do you have it redone because the original problem was not solved. I am taking this matter up with the Better Business Bureau as well and I have the documentation to prove my allegations. I posted this to keep other customers aware. Don't think it's right and I don't want anybody else to go through the same situation. Care about your fellow man

Competitive pricing. Amazing front of house staff. Super knowledgeable technicians. All makes and models. Wife's car is American my car is Japanese no issue fixing either one. Wouldn't bring my vehicles anywhere else.

I brought my 2004 passat in because it failed emissions after I had tried fixing one a problem. Gen X fixed the problem and even did additional work to get the car to pass emissions without charging extra. And they were far cheaper than what the dealer charged for the same work.
