I've been coming here for a few years, through 2 cars. Everyone has always been kind and fair. Brian and John have always been polite, professional, and put me at ease from day 1.As horrible as it is to say in the year 2024, as a woman I often don't feel comfortable going to mechanic offices, and this is the only location where I know I'll be safe, treated fairly, and given fair prices instead of a runaround, and not spoken to like I'm an idiot. Great service all the way around!Thanks guys!

These folks make it easy to get your emissions inspection done! No appointments are made, it's first come first served. I went early at about 8 am and had no one in front of me. It may get busier as the day goes on. The staff were polite and helpful. The whole process took 10 minutes and I was on my way. The waiting area was clean and pleasant. You pay the $20 state fee by cash. I believe I also heard it said that credit cards are accepted. I cannot say for certain on that point, suggest you bring cash.

Was there for a vin check on a bike two works went out to do the vin check they dropped my brand new $300 helmet the kid who dropped it was great he offered to pay for it to be replaced as in the owner/manger told me to call or bring receipt when I get it fixed so I had the motorcycle place call n he was absolutely rude yelling n told them to tell me to bring them to small claims. I will not be giving them any business. But the kid that dropped the helmet bless him for stepping up

I went to this location about noon time where there was a waiting room with at least a dozen people waiting, cars in spaces outside, papers and keys lined up on the counter and a 30 minute wait where you are required to stay while waiting. I left as I am still concerned with being in close proximity in waiting rooms, lines, etc. even with my mask on as I never stopped wearing them since I started during COVID. The gentleman I spoke with was kind and professional. This simply was not a comfortable environment for me so I will not be returning. I have no recommendation as this is a matter of preference.

Stop To the owner of this shop I hope you are paying Mechanic Brian a good Salary for being unprofessional and suggesting me to go to Meineke or Napa.After talking to sale associate Brian about a 2011 Subaru legacy No check engine light on no issues with the car all I wanted was a quote,water pump and timing belt. Brian states that they cannot give me a quote over the phone,I have to bring the car in first and they will scan the car and then give me a quote and if I want the job done at this shop they won t charge me me for the quote but if I opt out I have to pay ?140 I explained nothing is wrong with it and that Meineke and Napa gave a quoteBrian words and I quote this:Go to Napa or Meineke Then and hang upGood job Owner u have a tremendous team that u pay to treat Customers really RudeYour lost is the Shop across the street from u Gain after explaining what happened over at Quitezone he states they constantly having issues with Clients or Customers I would do the Job for u with out scanning or diagnosting your car.

Paid over $4k for a job and they added things that were never agreed upon later stating it was a verbal agreement and owner got hostel when asked about non agreed items were bought up. Completely unprofessional clown show pep boys would be a better option.

Took a lot longer to do emissions on car than expected, almost an hour. I was 3rd in the queue but apparently the first had bad connection and didn't work.

Great customer service. They will have your emission test done in a flash even though it s first come first serve. They stop testing at 5pm by state law. They are a full service garage too and have a short wait period for booking repairs.

I have been using Frank & his team since their opening up in town years ago. You always get honesty from this establishment. It's taken me so long to do a review because I never think of doing one for the place that fixes up all the vehicles within my family (shame on me)! They are always busy, but will do their best to make time for you. Another great fact is that when I asked for a donation for my son's project graduation...they did not hesitate & gave a very generous donation. I would recommend Quiet Zone to anyone.

Had work done on my expedition twice recently. First, the u joints on my drive shaft and then went back later for my front differential and cv joints. Both times were a great experience. Brian is the best!! Went out of his way to explain and show me what was going on and gave some great advice as well. Thank you!!

This is the second time I ve used them for an overheating issue and for the second time they ve told me that something was the problem, charged me to fix it, told me it fixed the problem, then returned me the vehicle unfixed with the very same overheating problem. I shouldn t say unfixed because I believe they changed my thermostat but I also believe they knew it didn t solve the issue. So now what do I do. I thought it was funny they were holding my car till end of day because they knew it was t fixed and that they were closed Saturday and Sunday. I guess for that play by them, I m on here with this review. Honesty would ve been nice.EDIT: Ok, so I returned Monday and let them know what was happening and they were very apologetic and got me right in, they ended up finding what the problem was and got my car back to me with in a reasonable time and a very reasonable price. Overall I m happy with my service and would end up recommending them. Thanks for not holding the original review against me when I returned.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Have had numerous car issues and the Quiet Zone has helped alleviate each problem with the utmost skill and professionalism. Brian truly is the star of the store and I couldn t recommend them enough

Too busy!! And Howie, you are NOT the only place in Torrington doing emissions, after I left there I called Midas, and they do emissions and I was in and out in 8 mins., as far as what I do for a living is none of your business, but I'm disabled, and have a hard time walking, I'm in severe pain all the time, and I couldn't sit on the hard chairs in your office and wait 1 hour to get my car checked.

They buy their mid grade parts from stores like Oreiley's and Advanced Auto then mark them up to dealer prices, manager was rude and dishonest with my 70 year old grandmother. This place is a nightmare and does not care about you or your vehicle, or even improving your knowledge on your vehicle, only hurting your wallet. Shops who try and prey on women or the elderly are sad and disappointing. Go literally anywhere else for your car, paying a 4 year old with a toy wrench to check out your car would have better results.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto emissions testing

I called ahead to ask how many folks were in line for emissions testing. I drove in 15 mins later and they took me right away. Paid my 20.00 and was done in 10 mins.

The good news,they took me in fairly quickly. I had an appointment but they we very busy doing emission testing.The bad news. On inspection of a foul odor. I suspected a exhaust leak. John at the desk brought to the counter an exhaust manifold after 15 minutes.He pointed out a hairline crack. Said they could replace it. I asked for an estimate.The computer was down and he had to get back to me. He had his service put the manifold back on. 15 minutes later I left.That's a total of 30 minutes in and out. Greathuh!Not so much. Estimate was about $1000.The part was 2 to 3 hundred. The labor was $700Their posted shop rate is $125 hr.Where did that manifold come from that they had shown me at the counter? $700 for 30 min . labor?Too many questions. Smoke and mirrors.Be careful that's all I can say.Reconsidered the above review. After a conversation with John at service he told me that he felt his explanation was not clear. The manifold he had shown me was a demo.I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps I did not listen well. I have given them a revised rating.

Had my emissions and minor work done there. They did a great job, and they're very professional.Update 8/26/2022:Another great experience getting my emissions done in a very timely, efficient manner. As well as great customer service as always. I would highly suggest using them for your automotive repair needs.

Make an appointment. I was there for emissions test. ,Took 1 15 min they said 25 min. It was towards end of day ,so I thought they'd hurry up a bit. Seeing age of kids, glad they took time and got things right at least

Family run, and on point from greeting to check out. Courteous, efficient, great employees. What your neighborhood mechanic is SUPPOSED to be. Go for the expertise, stay for the customer service.

I love bringing my truck here. They always help me out and take care of my grumpy truck. They have done my oil change, front IWE on both sides, brakes and rotors all the way around, and recently took a look at my truck after I was in a hit and run. Had an emergency brake issue with our car. I work at the a hospital and my wife is an emt so we needed both our cars to fight the corona. Every quiet zone team member was very professional and worked quickly to help us get back onto the road. We will always recommend them to anyone who asks. Professional, hard working, and courteous, and reasonably priced. Wont take my cars anywhere else.
