The Shop Ct defines what a performance shop should be. I have been in the automotive industry for over 10 years, and have seen nightmares in service departments.So its hard to find a reliable shop where you can bring your car and trust someone. Over the years, The Shop CT has gone above and beyond to ensure my happiness and maintain my vehicles. Whether it's just an oil change, regular maintenance or a turbo swap. I have always been treated with kindness and my vehicle was always finished professionally in a timely manner due to great communication.Jimmy, Lisa, Nicholas, Conner and all the techs have treated me like family. They are the extremely professional and efficient. Which is extremely important in the automotive industry. Everyone over at the Shop CT truly cares about your car and your experience. I just wanted to say thank you for everything.

Always a pleasure visiting The Shop CT. Friendly, knowledgeable staff is on top of things. Recently had a full engine rebuild done, answered all my questions, communication during the process was excellent and post purchase service has remained at the same high level. I'm not sure how many reputable repair shops exist these days, but I'd put these guys on that list for sure.

Jimmy and crew are fantastic! Our 4Runner stock suspension was failing, and rather than replace with OEM, we wanted to go aftermarket. I talked to lots of shops in the area and even the Toyota dealership, and they couldn t do it. The Shop immediately understood what we were trying to do, worked with us on parts and scheduling, and got it done perfectly. They went above and beyond to make sure it was done right, and when we needed tie rods last minute, they sourced those from two suppliers in one day. Amazing and my wife is thrilled with the comfy new ride!I only wish I had found these guys sooner, I would be a customer for life!

Ahh, where to start? My long car trouble journey started roughly two years ago when my Subaru decided to do that thing that Subaru's do best; blow up. I brought it to a local "Subaru performance shop" to get a diagnosis and make a plan. I spent roughly the next year and 8 months being dragged around by excuses and less that appropriate work, followed by a periodic wallet wringing. It got to a point where I said enough is enough, pulled my car out from under the shop, and had it towed to my house. This is where the miracle work started to kick in. I reached out to Jimmy at TheShopCT after my buddy Yanni recommended me to him. To say that the two shops couldn't be farther polar opposites is an understatement. The immaculate care and precision to the smallest of details that Jimmy holds each customers car to is unmatchable. After getting a full run through diagnosis, a jarring moment for both him and I from the can of worms the state my car was in, we proceeded to lay out a plan. Every stone of my car was overturned, with a daily if not bidaily phone call or photographic update sent to me. My nightmare predicament had completely transitioned to a dream outcome; a highly skilled professional performance shop building my car from the block up and out. At the end of the tunnel I had a better than ever, cleaned, polished, ding-treated, detailed, forged, rebuilt, mikey tuned racecar daily, along with a new found friendship and respect for Jimmy and his wife Lisa. There is not enough praise I can say in regards to The Shop Ct, do yourself and your vehicle a favor and book whatever you need done with them. Stop reading the reviews and just go!Ever since I first came to The Shop CT I instantly felt at home. Everybody at the shop truly does make you feel like family, not to mention the provide some of the best and cleanest work I ve ever come across (I ve been to many shops over the years). I would never bring my car anywhere else.My 2020 Supra wouldn t be where it is today without them, they really helped me turn the car into exactly what I was looking for and made sure to keep me up to date throughout the whole process. From all my engine work to the tubing etc. everything was done perfectly and just how I wanted.It s always nice when in todays world you can still find an honest shop that does great quality work. I never leave this shop without a smile on my face.Jimmy always makes sure everything is perfect and you can tell he truly cares about the work and service they provide.The attached detail shop is an extremely nice touch as well to make sure all the cars leave looking super clean :)Thanks again for everything guys!Until next time,Mike

had a great experience with the shop. they installed an aftermarket catback exhaust on my 2019 civic type r. owner of the shop went above and beyond and didnt feel like the tips were secure enough for his comfort so he added some welds for our piece of mind. thats the stuff that keep customers returning. will be back soonedit: returned to The Shop to have the prl intake and ma performance downpipe installed. also had them change my oil and filter, brake fluid, trans fluid. flawless job as always. i provided my own trans fluid which they noticed wasnt oem so they even went out of there way to go get oem fluid just to be safe in case i made a mistake. easy people to work.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Auto exhaust system replacement, Oil change

Been having issues with my 2016 WRX even after getting pro tuned at another shop. These guys? Blew my expectations out of the water. I don t say it lightly, they genuinely cared about my car. Figured out my AF ratio that I ve been going down rabbit holes with for over a year. They figured the issue out within an hour. From the reception area to the Dyno run, all smiles and people willing to talk shop. Will most certainly be back with any issue and or future cars to come.This place is the GO to TUNE shop. Loved it. Jimmy n the guys took care of my S4.. dropped off the car got the work done..they were in constant contact with me via email n phone.. paid my bill pick up my car.. never really got to even meet them because of my work schedule.. will definitely b back ..

After doing some research and reading reviews , decided to give The Shop CT a try. My experience has been excellent. I had some upgrades done to my vehicle . Make sure you ask for Connor he made the experience of upgrading my vehicle easy.

Wat a great shop, run by really good people. My Golf Alltrack is now a dad wagon sleeper after a turbo upgrade, coil over suspension and general maintenance. All done flawlessly by Anthony. Lisa, Jimmy, Nicolas and Conner are a great group to work with and down to earth. Yo get what you pay for. 100% recommend.

Where do I start? Well it s always a great time at the shop ct with Jimmy and Mikey. They re always going above and beyond to make sure you re satisfied and car is built and tuned the right way no shortcuts. I drive up 2 hours from NJ when ever I need anything done to my car and expect nothing but excellence. I don t let no one else touch my car the same way I don t let another barber cut my hair lol. Seriously these guys are great up at the shop, communication is great, jimmy s email response are quick and almost around the clock. Mind you other businesses don t respond to emails after 3pm. Prices/ Service is great I ve been to other well known shops and wasn t convinced. Mikey s a great tuner, very knowledgeable and humbled guy definitely best tuner in CT. Jimmy and the team at the Shop CT are masters of their craft. They helped me out with a cat back exhaust on my tundra, flawless install by Otto. They offered me a complementary bolt tighten post install which I did today.I had the schedule wrong on my calendar. It was actually scheduled for next week, but they still managed to squeeze me in, which I really appreciate them doing. I also got an alignment done, and the truck is riding nice and straight again for my 1500 mile drive to Florida. Nikolas runs a right shop keeping everyone in order and moving along smoothly. I appreciate the professionalism and hard work of the entire Shop CT Team.Highly recommend them if you care about your vehicle like I do!!

This is by far the best shop I have been to in my years of owning cars. The response time is amazing and every worker from the desk workers to the mechanics have a great work ethic. They send quotes in advance for the work I am going to do and that helps a ton because a lot of shops try to take advantage by surprising you with a bill. Overall it is always a pleasure working with them and the environment is great. I will be coming here for all my vehicles from now on.

I am a huge car guy and always get tons of anxiety when I bring my car for service . I would rather sell the car first before I have to bring it back to a dealer period . Jimmy the owner of the shopct is by far the most professional in his field and runs the most impeccable car guy place you have ever seen. Honest, family owned and operated and treats every car like it s his own. If your car is 20k or 300k rest assured this is the only place to bring your car. For all you horsepower junkies out there like myself he is the best in the business by far and always there to help and answer your questions. Thanks again!!

I originally went in for a Stg 2 clutch install. I provided the parts and James and his crew delivered great results. I went back for some dent repair work and again I m very happy with the results. I will absolutely use TheShopCT again for any other work.

Just had an alignment done on my STI at The Shop. I had a few questions which they responded to me right away. The work performed was professional, clean, and punctual.The tech asked how I wanted my car set up and he dialed it in as requested and made a few suggestions for me to consider. Couldn't be more happy with my experience! Highly recommend The Shop to anyone looking for quality work in a well equipped garage.

The Shop CT is the place to go for your automotive needs Jimmy, Lisa, and The Shop CT team are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Any questions you have they can answer for you .I brought my 07 Impreza STI in over 5 years ago, because of another shop's work that destroyed my original engine. The Shop CT showed me everything that was wrong then built me a new engine block. 5+ years later and the car still has never missed a beat. besides oil changes it's never needed another thing. I've since moved overseas and shipped the car to myself since I know I can't replicate it anywhere else . If you need anything for your car you can trust Jimmy and The Shop CT to do it right. I will always 100% recommend the shop CT for anything automotive related.

Jimmy, Lisa, Connor and the whole The Shop at CT team are beyond excellent. They are the best at their craft. Their work is done in a timely fashion and will explain to you how/what you need to get the work done.The following work was completed by The Shop CT:-Exhaust and Adapter Install-Front Lip and Side Skirt Install-Roof Spoiler Install-Rainguard InstallJimmy and Connor are honest, will tell you their thoughts before moving forward with the work. The staff is extremely friendly, their prices are reasonable & fair especially for the outstanding quality of work they do. They will work with you regarding your needs.The Shop CT in my opinion is one of the best, if not the #1 performance shop in North America. Their building / facility is massive and they have every gadget you need to get your work done. These folks are extremely knowledgeable on any and all vehicles, especially high end performance autos.Go to the Shop at CT in Stratford, CT to build your dream vehicle!

I have used The Shop 4 times and have always been happy with the results. I have had 3 cars tuned and minor suspension work. They are courteous and professional. All though i had to tap into money I didn t need to for extra repairs the facts was it was beneficial in the long run.Good quality of work could improving communication but overall I got my worth done with my repairs, always room for improvements, I did notice my AC wasn t working till I actually needed it but didn t want to bother for something minor. First time driving down to The Shop and it was awesome! I got greeted by the owner and within 5 minutes of being there they had my car pulled into a bay. Mikey was super easy to work with when it came to tuning my car. Very happy with how everything went. 100% will be a returning customer. Just got a couple dyno pulls here. And the service is fantastic, clean shop and they treat you and your car great. Thanks jimmy. Also great place to get your car detailed, nelson does an awesome job,one of the best. I ve been to a lot of shops over the years , as a mechanic for 16+years I know a good place when I see one. I would highly recommend this them!

Outstanding professionalism and service! I've been there twice and each time The Shop CT exceeded my expectations. First time I scheduled my supercharged Miata for some dyno runs to get a read on street data logs and remote tuning on a new stand alone ECU. We learned that my WBO2 sensor was bad and Jimmy had a replacement (AEM 30-2001) in stock! Replaced it and then after two more months of tuning (and upgraded fuel injectors,) I went back to the dyno. My new tune was now pig rich at 10.5 afr. Jimmy then spent an hour massaging the VE table to get me to an afr of 12 at WOT. Listen, as many of you know, when you modify a car there will be bumps in the road. Jimmy and the crew are the ones to help smooth the way and get your car to where you want to go. That kind of experience and attention are worth the price. This place is a real asset.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

They are so willing to help you every step of the way. The will go above and beyond to help you througout the process. I have been looking around for a while for a reliable and respectable place to tune my 06 STi and The Shop fullfilled all of my expectations. If you need work done to you car you NEED to go to THE SHOP CT.

All I can say is that Jimmy and the guys at The Shop are all great. I've been to them for APR Stage 1 install, adjustable sport springs install, performance brakes and a few other things but when I really saw this shop shine was when I had an ECS valved exhaust put on my car and had a problem with the first one. Jimmy got right on the phone with ECS and got a new one sent to the shop and installed and went even further to get rid of some noise due to slightly improper fitting. I've done business with The Shop CT a handful of a times. I keep going back because every single experience has been 100% straight forward and 100% professional. Their prices are fair and competitive, while being one of the best auto shops in the North East US. The whole crew including Jimmy, Lisa, Connor, and Nick are all really good people and really helpful with your general automotive, high-end sport car modification and dyno tuning needs. The facility is amazing, and Mikey Botti is one of the best tuners in the country (also a good dude!). The Shop CT name speaks for itself. I highly recommend them. You will not be sorry.
